After killing the little devil, Benjamin and Alina waited in the carriage for five minutes.
It was quiet all around, except for the sound of sewage flowing in the sewers.
The two began walking forward along the carriage.
Reaching the middle, they saw the body of a security guard in a blue uniform, slumped on the tracks, a broken flashlight lying beside him.
Benjamin took the key from the guard's waist and handed it to Alina.
"This should have the key to the subway door lock. It's safe from here. You can go out first."
Benjamin had exceptional hearing.
He heard a faint, almost impish howl coming from inside the side gate of the tunnel ahead, a sound clearly deeper than the ones outside.
Without the carriage as a barrier, he couldn't afford to worry about this woman if a fight broke out.
"Aren't you going out? Can't you leave with me? You...you can go to my place to change your clothes..."
Alina said, a mixture of fear and anticipation in her voice.
"There's another big guy up ahead. If you stay next to me, I won't be able to take care of you. Hurry up and leave. You sing well, and it would be a pity if you die."
Benjamin said calmly.
"Oh, well… thank you. I live at 457 Phil Street."
Upon hearing this, Alina hesitated for a moment before taking the keys and trotting lightly towards the exit.
'She's not dragging her feet at this time. She's not destined to die.'
Benjamin praised her inwardly, stretched his neck and shoulders, and continued walking.
He saw many corpses along the way—homeless people, repairmen, passengers—none of them intact.
Benjamin followed the trail of blood to the iron fence he was looking for.
This was the homeless encampment of the underground king.
Benjamin reached out and pulled off the broken and warped fence gate, then bent down and walked inside.
The stench of decay inside was quite peculiar.
Benjamin followed the passage, turning three corners, until he arrived at a slightly more spacious area, about two hundred square meters.
A smaller devil, noticeably larger than before, was using its blood to carve a circle nearly ten meters in diameter, the circle already filled with runes.
In the center of the circle sat a pile of tongues, and above which hung a heap of corpses.
The smaller demon turned and saw Benjamin, hissing as it lunged.
Benjamin swung the briefcase, aiming for the demon's hideous face.
The smaller devil surprisingly managed to stop itself, nimbly dodging the attack, while simultaneously scratching the bulletproof briefcase with its claws, leaving three claw marks.
Seeing how sharp the claws were, Benjamin simply grabbed the straps on the inside of the briefcase, using it as a shield, and charged at the devil.
The little devil, irritated by being slapped, stretched out its two claws and fiercely pierced through the suitcase, but got stuck for a moment.
Seeing his opportunity, Benjamin pressed the briefcase down, dragging the monster's arms to the ground.
Freeing his left hand, Benjamin pressed down on the little devil's head and slammed it against the ground repeatedly, shattering the tiles.
Seeing the little devil temporarily dazed, Benjamin quickly pulled out the briefcase.
"Weighs 20 pounds, made of TA titanium alloy."
Benjamin said, panting heavily, as he brought the briefcase down hard on the little devil's neck.
"Not only to determine the superiority and inferiority, but also to decide life and death."
Thump, thump, thump...
As the words fell, the flesh of the captain-level little devil's neck was smashed, and the bones were completely broken.
Benjamin reached out his left hand, grabbed the monster's corpse, and activated his "Absorb" ability.
A stream of energy, about the thickness of a chopstick, surged into Benjamin's body.
He checked and felt that it had strengthened by about ten percent, with one being equivalent to ten outside.
Just from this subway trip alone, Benjamin's own physical fitness had improved by thirty percent, which was well worth it.
After killing the little devil, Benjamin tore a piece of cloth from the tattered clothes of one of the hanging corpses and gently wiped his hands.
He observed the hanging corpses.
Among them was a blind old man wearing a golden crown.
However, the torn edges of the crown revealed that it was just a paper hat worn for birthdays, simply painted gold.
This must be the king of the underground kingdom.
Benjamin circled the corpses and spotted the fat man's current incarnation, 'Domagoy Patrick,' whose face was pale and swollen.
"Brother, looks like you're not doing well," Benjamin said with a touch of melancholy.
There were three of them when they entered this world, but now only he remained.
This fat man had been quite cunning, yet he still died.
Benjamin circled the area; there was nothing of value around.
He glanced down at his tattered trench coat and trousers, frowned, and decided to go to room 457 to change.
Carrying his suitcase, he turned and walked outside, turning four corners before suddenly stopping.
Something was wrong!
Benjamin clearly remembered turning only three corners when he came in through the fence.
But this was already the fourth.
There was only one passage here, and there was no possibility of going the wrong way.
Benjamin didn't dare go any further.
At the same time, the suitcase he was clutching tightly began to grow cold.
The coldness grew stronger and stronger.
Benjamin felt his hands were about to stiffen, and this feeling was very familiar.
The Ice Hell Cenobite!
Crack...crack crack...
That was the sound of freezing. The sound of water flowing in the nearby sewer stopped, and the sewage had frozen.
Benjamin quickly backed away.
Crack!
The ice in the sewer shattered instantly, and a frozen corpse floated to the surface.
The body lay on its back, arms clasped to its chest, a fake crystal ball made of frozen ice in its palm, constantly interfering with the crystal ball inside Benjamin's suitcase.
"Winter...has...arrived, you are..."
The frozen corpse began to utter words, one by one.
Its opening and closing mouth, like shattered porcelain, sent shards of ice from its skin fluttering into the sewer.
The Ice had come to capture Benjamin. The act of summoning it at the High Priest's place last time made it feel deeply teased and mocked.
It was extremely angry and wanted to tear Benjamin's soul to shreds ten thousand times before throwing it into the crater.
Benjamin felt the icy chill emanating from the crystal ball in his suitcase.
'It seems it's time to leave this world.'
However, before leaving, Benjamin planned to give the Ice Hell Cenobite one last surprise.
He quickly ran back to the main hall of the underground kingdom.
Benjamin stared at the incomplete circle drawn by the large devil.
He, using blood from the corpse on his hands, added the final stroke to the demon summoning circle.
Fortunately, this ordinary blood only had a restorative effect on Benjamin. Since he wasn't injured, he didn't bother to absorb it all.
As the circle was completed, the pile of tongues on the ground quickly knotted and bound together.
The hanging corpses turned into red powder and fell to the ground, forming a heap of ash that obscured the tongues.
A nauseating song began to fill the air, making those who heard it want to tear everything apart.
The ash shrunk into a gray body, like that of a demon butterfly.
At the front of the body was a head formed from the fused tongues, resembling the appearance of the underground king.
Patterned black wings extended from the sides, and rings of powder began to drift outwards.
This was the Great Demon of Abaddon Hell—the Singer.
As the Singer was about to take shape, Benjamin silently uttered:
"Return."
Benjamin vanished from the spot.
The temporary crystal ball in the Ice Corpse's hand shattered, briefly opening a Hell Rift, from which the Ice Hell Cenobite emerged.
The newly summoned Singer instantly noticed the Ice Hell Cenobite, and the two hellish fiends locked eyes for a moment, stunned.
Abaddon Hell and Leviathan Hell were long-time sworn enemies.
The Great Demon Singer manipulated all the powder, creating a dense fog, which attacked the Ice Hell Cenobite…
