Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

Odin Secretly Tests Roy — And Fails Miserably

Odin could not ignore the signs anymore.

Roy was too calm.

Too stable.

Too perfect.

No fluctuation of aura.

No trace of divine fatigue.

No magical instability.

Even Thor, future God of Thunder, struggled during breakthroughs.

Loki's magic tore holes in the palace carpets weekly.

But Roy?

Roy was a still lake—deep, dark, bottomless.

So Odin decided to test him.

Very, very carefully.

Test 1: The "Accidental" Rune Trap

Odin carved a runic formation beneath Roy's study hall floor—disguised as "structural maintenance."

It was a silent, invisible trap.

Its purpose:

Detect hidden aura Measure soul pressure Force a small release of true power

It was subtle. Perfect. Undetectable.

Even Loki couldn't sense it.

Odin waited.

Roy entered the room quietly, holding a book and a plate of pastries for Frigga.

He stepped onto the rune.

The rune activated.

And then—

It died. Instantly.

Not exploded.

Not overloaded.

Not resisted.

It simply turned off, like a candle snuffed out.

Odin's eyes widened.

He checked the floor later.

The carved runes weren't just disabled—they were rewritten.

In a language Odin didn't know.

Something ancient. Something primal.

Something older than Asgard.

Roy had stepped on it casually, humming to himself.

And the trap had rewritten itself in obedience.

Odin whispered:

"…He erased my runes with SILENCE."

Test 2: Odin's Personal Illusion

Odin created a high-level illusion—the kind that deceived armies, bent reality, even fooled Surtur once.

His plan:

trap Roy inside for two seconds.

Just two.

Enough to observe mental resistance.

Roy walked down the hallway.

Odin triggered the illusion.

And—

Roy kept walking.

Straight.

Calm.

Unbothered.

The illusion didn't break.

It disintegrated.

Like smoke hitting a sunbeam.

Roy even tilted his head and muttered:

"Strange… who's trying to peek into my mind?"

Odin, hiding behind a pillar, almost choked.

He sensed me? No—he sensed the illusion's intent. At this age? Without training? Impossible… truly impossible…

Test 3: A "Random" Combat Simulation

The next day, Odin arranged a training session between Roy and a battle-simulation golem.

A basic one.

Weak enough for a young godling.

Just enough to see Roy's reflexes.

Roy walked into the arena with a soft smile.

Thor and Loki were watching from the balcony.

Frigga too.

Odin gave the order.

"Begin."

The golem charged.

Roy blinked.

Then—

It collapsed.

Not crushed.

Not destroyed.

It simply knelt.

As if bowing.

Its artificial mind couldn't process Roy's authority.

The golem recognized him instinctively as—

A sovereign. A ruler above rulers. A monarch.

Everyone stared.

Thor's jaw dropped.

Loki whispered:

"…what?"

Odin nearly lost his spear.

Roy scratched his cheek, embarrassed.

"Uh… faulty golem?"

Odin pinched the bridge of his nose.

"This child… is no 'weak prince.'"

Frigga smirked knowingly from the balcony.

A Cosmic Being Senses Roy's True Power

Deep in the far edges of the void, beyond realms and galaxies, a ripple spread.

A strange wave—

like a heartbeat of a sleeping titan.

A presence stirred.

A being opened its eyes.

Not a god.

Not a titan.

Not a celestial.

But something much, much older.

Eternity.

The cosmic embodiment of the universe itself.

Eternity felt a presence… within Asgard.

A presence that should NOT exist.

A presence that:

bent natural laws, silenced divine senses, erased runes older than galaxies, held dominion over shadows and reality, carried the pressure of a monarch.

A presence that reminded Eternity of only one thing—

A TRUE DRAGON.

A race believed to be extinct across the cosmos.

A race that shaped worlds by breathing.

That crushed galaxies with weight of existence.

That devoured stars for nourishment.

But this presence was not fully awakened.

Not yet.

A slumbering dragon.

A hidden king.

Eternity whispered:

"A young dragon… in Asgard?"

"No—something more."

"Shadow and cosmos intertwined… and he hides himself?"

The cosmic entity narrowed its eyes.

"This boy will change the fate of the universe."

The void trembled.

And for the first time in eons—

Eternity turned its gaze directly toward Asgard.

Toward Roy.
