The party had just begun when Williams drove into the underground parking garage.
The moment he left his car, the atmosphere shifted. Voices softened and gazes followed him, a hush of whispers quietly trailed behind him.
A few girls paused mid-laughter, brushing their hair back or lifting their phones, hoping to catch his eye.
Williams noticed it all and enjoyed every second of it. He straightened his jacket, calm and confident, then walked toward the entrance as though the place belonged to him. This was the life he was used to. The life he expected.
He adjusted his jacket casually and walked toward the entrance like the place already belonged to him.
"Bro!"
Ha Yun, his best friend appeared, grinning as he pulled him into a firm handshake. "I thought you weren't coming tonight."
Williams smirked. "What on earth would stop me from partying," he said lazily, lowering his voice, "especially when I know all the hot babies will be here?"
Ha Yun laughed as they stepped inside together.
The party was in full bloom. Crystal lights shimmered overhead, reflecting off polished floors. Music pulsed through the hall, deep bass, slow rhythm, seductive and alive.
Groups clustered around tall tables, laughter mixing with the clink of glasses. Waiters moved smoothly through the crowd, carrying trays of drinks. The air smelled of expensive perfume and alcohol.
Williams scanned the room instinctively.
Then, he saw a girl. She stood near the bar, dressed in a fitted silver dress that caught the light with every small movement.
Her hair fell loosely over her shoulders, her posture relaxed but confident. "Exactly my type." He murmured staring at her.
Ha Yun noticed the staring and leaned closer, smirking. "You like that one, huh?"
Williams didn't look away. "Who is she?" He asked.
"That's Eva," Ha Yun said. "She's a model, and she is new in the city."
"Eva," Williams murmured, the name rolling easily off his tongue.
Without hesitation, he headed toward her.
"Hello, beautiful," Williams said smoothly as he stopped beside her. "Mind if I join you?"
Eva turned, surprised, then smiled politely. "I don't see why not."
"Williams," he said, offering his hand.
"Eva," she replied, placing her hand in his.
"Can I get you a drink?" he asked.
"I already have one," Eva said, lifting her glass slightly.
"Then let me get myself one so I don't feel left out."
He signaled the bartender. A glass of wine were set down. They clinked glasses lightly.
"So," Williams said, taking a slow sip of his drink, "how long have you been in town?"
"Not too long," Eva replied, playing with her drink.
"Are you here with your partner?" Williams asked, studying her face closely.
"Not really," she said with a small shrug. "My best friend practically dragged me here."
"That's unfortunate," he said with a faint smile. "Because I was hoping the night would get interesting."
She studied him for a moment. "You sound very confident."
"Experience," he replied easily.
The conversation continued as they talked about modeling, movies, and music. while they slowly sipped their drinks.
Eva found herself laughing more than she had expected to, surprised by how comfortable she felt.
Williams leaned a little closer, his attention fully on her, choosing his words carefully, knowing exactly how to make her smile… and how to make her laugh.
The music shifted, slowly and alluring.
Williams held out his hand. "Dance with me."
Eva hesitated for a while, then placed her hand in his. "Alright."
He led her to the dance floor, one hand resting lightly at her waist as the crowd moved around them. Under the lights, with the music pulsing and bodies swaying, Williams smiled to himself. Saturday night had officially begun.
Meanwhile, Mr. Adam sat alone in the living room, the lights dimmed, the house unusually quiet. He waited. Minutes stretched into hours. From time to time, he lifted his wrist to check the time, his impatience growing heavier with each glance.
The butler paused at the doorway, surprised to see his master still awake. He hesitated before speaking softly.
"Sir… it's already 11:45. Today is Saturday. Young Master Williams may not be coming home tonight."
Mr. Adam let out a sharp hiss and shook his head weakly.
"Where did I go wrong raising him?" he murmured.
Suddenly, an invited and painful memory surfaced.
His late wife's pale face filled his mind, her weak voice trembling as she clutched his hand.
"Please… don't let Williams suffer," she had begged. "Don't let anyone bully him…"
Her voice faded, just as her life had.
A tear slipped down Mr. Adam's cheek.
After her death, he had shut the door to every other woman.
He had raised Williams alone, becoming both father and mother, protector and provider. He had given him everything...comfort, freedom, power.
"Or had I given him too much?" He hiss.
"Did I make a mistake along the way?" he whispered to the empty room.
After a long moment, he stood and headed upstairs, exhaustion finally weighing him down.
At the party, Williams laughed and drank, surrounded by noise and flashing women. Yet beneath the excitement, something felt wrong. There was a cautious movement around him.
His father's voice echoed in his head, : I have enemies everywhere. Never forget that.
Williams' expression hardened.
He grabbed Eva's hand and pulled her toward a quieter corner. His eyes scanned the room quickly. Three men were moving with purpose, focused too much on him.
His heart slammed against his chest.
This wasn't the first time.
"Run," he whispered urgently to Eva. "Don't look back."
Before she could question him, he turned and took the opposite direction. Behind him, footsteps followed. Williams pulled out his phone as he ran, dialing the one number he never thought he'd call in fear.
At home, Mr. Adam had just begun to drift off when his phone rang. He glanced at the screen__2:00 a.m.
Seeing the caller I D, a chill ran down his spine. He answered immediately picking the call.
"Dad… I'm in trouble." Williams' voice was tight, and breathless. "There are men with guns after me."
Mr. Adam sat up instantly. "Where are you?"
Williams named the location quickly before ending the call. He turned a corner, and pain exploded across his head.
Something metallic struck him hard. He staggered, barely keeping his balance.
Three men stepped out from the shadows.
Williams reacted on instinct.
He swung first, landing a solid punch on one man's jaw. Another rushed him, but Williams ducked and drove his elbow into the man's ribs. The third came from behind, Williams twisted, grabbing his arm and slamming him to the ground.
For a brief second, he thought he had a chance.
But suddenly, there was a gunshot.
The bullet grazed his arm, tearing through his sleeve.
"Shit," he hissed, pain flaring as blood seeped out. He ran quickly.
Just as his strength began to falter, police sirens echoed loudly through the street. Red and blue lights flashed in the distance.
"Fu...," the men cursed and pull back into the shadows, disappearing as quickly as they had appeared.
Williams slowed down breathing heavily. ragged, heart pounding, fast completely Shaked.
