Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 I Feel Like There Are No Other Travelers

The first development was Sasuke's involvement.

He still clearly remembered the words Naruto had spoken that day. And after completing several D-rank missions together, he repeatedly saw Naruto practicing shuriken techniques at the training grounds.

Was this really just a coincidence?

Sasuke himself was a shuriken expert, heavily influenced by his older brother—at least compared to others his age.

So when he saw Naruto training again, he awkwardly pointed out a flaw in Naruto's technique.

Naruto immediately perked up.

Oh? The aloof guy is here to give pointers now?

"Why should I listen to you?" Naruto stuck out his tongue. "Are your shuriken skills really that impressive?"

Nearby, Sakura stopped her own practice, took out a melon, and began eating while watching with great interest.

"There are mistakes in your movements. Throwing like that won't end well."

"That's hard to say," Naruto replied casually. "If someone as popular as Sasuke throws it like that, it could be lethal."

"What did you say?!"

Sasuke instantly bristled.

"Unless you prove it with actions, I won't accept it," Naruto said, plopping down cross-legged on the ground and gesturing for Sasuke to begin his performance.

Suppressing his anger, Sasuke pulled out a string of kunai and hurled them in one breath, each blade striking the center of the wooden targets ahead with pinpoint accuracy.

"Sasuke-kun is amazing~" Sakura clapped, dutifully playing the role of the supportive teammate.

"Huh? I didn't even see that clearly. Doesn't count." Naruto waved it off.

Veins bulged on the back of Sasuke's hand.

"Then try it yourself!"

"If you don't try, you'll fall into the trap of self-preservation," Naruto jumped up, grinning. "How about this—we compete based on results."

"Compete!"

Some time later—

"That doesn't count. You were standing right next to me earlier and affected my strength," Naruto shrugged.

"Heh. Obviously, you're holding the kunai wrong. Grip the base, pull your arm back to build momentum, and rotate your body along with the throw."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Naruto replied perfunctorily—but he carefully memorized every key point Sasuke mentioned.

"One more round and I'll surrender. Tch, forget it. You'll just come bother me again anyway. How boring."

"Naruto, you—! One more time!"

Sakura bit back laughter as she watched the two throw, quietly memorizing the techniques herself.

"You're using too much force. In real combat, that would miss."

"Watch the wind. Earlier it was a headwind, so we needed to throw harder."

"Don't stiffen your waist and shoulders. Use your whole body."

"..."

Before they realized it, the entire afternoon had passed.

"What you said actually makes some sense," Naruto said, raising his right hand and pinching out a tiny outline. "I've only grown to one ten-thousandth of it."

Sasuke turned his head away, as if unwilling to talk to Naruto.

But in truth, it was the most fulfilling afternoon he'd had in a long time.

It had been ages since he'd interacted this much with someone his own age.

Moreover, as he constantly corrected Naruto's posture, Naruto's accuracy steadily improved—and the process gave Sasuke an unexpected sense of accomplishment.

It was as if some kind of "teacher aura" had descended on him, making it hard to stop.

The next day—then the third day.

Sasuke would occasionally "accidentally" run into Naruto while he was training, then start criticizing him under the excuse that he couldn't stand Naruto's mistakes anymore.

During this time, both Sasuke and Sakura also grew rapidly.

Sometimes Sakura would buy three bottles of water; occasionally she'd even act like a part-time assistant, helping retrieve kunai.

Of course, Naruto and Sasuke still argued more often than not.

But the three of them were steadily building tacit understanding. By Naruto's own estimate, Team Seven's overall strength had already far surpassed their original counterparts at the same stage.

The second development was even more interesting.

Ever since Sasuke began training with Naruto and Sakura, their training spot started attracting onlookers.

Most of them were girls who secretly admired Sasuke.

After all, before and after missions, Sasuke always found secluded places to train alone.

No one ever knew where he went.

In addition to those girls, some passing boys soon found their attention drawn to Haruno Sakura instead.

This Sakura—Xiao Ying from Sichuan and Chongqing—was completely different from the original. After crossing worlds, she had entirely given up entertainment like reading manga or visiting flower shops and devoted herself wholeheartedly to training.

In her own words, this was a single-player game: you level up by staying on the map, then enter dungeons when you're stronger. The sense of accomplishment was immense.

Naruto commented, "Isn't that like a king going to the bronze tier to fry fish?"

She responded by smacking the back of his head, leaving a basketball-sized bump.

Yes—her brute strength had grown rapidly.

So…

A ninja named Sakura—who always wore her hair in a high ponytail, didn't shop, didn't curl her hair, barely spoke, used no cheats, and relied purely on technique and raw power—suddenly burst onto the stage!

Even Ino temporarily put her "pursue Sasuke" plans on hold and began worrying whether Sakura had taken the wrong medicine lately.

Sakura's response was concise:

"Don't bother me while I'm training."

This extreme attitude quickly won her the affection of many boys.

You should know—Ying had once been fervently pursued by Rock Lee, so her looks were never the issue.

In other words, the original Sakura's early obsession with Naruto—and her mockery of him as an orphan—had backfired badly, drawing Sasuke's criticism and costing her much popularity.

Now, Sakura began attracting the attention of boys her age.

At first, out of courtesy, she rejected everyone.

Later, some particularly persistent boys began waiting outside her house every day, asking after her well-being.

Sakura was nearly driven insane.

Finally, to put an end to the endless pursuit once and for all, she chose a sunny day and randomly asked one boy:

"Do you have any pornographic books?"

"What?"

The boy froze. At the same time, Naruto—watching from the sidelines—was completely stunned.

"Do you have erotic books?" Sakura asked again.

"I—I can," the boy blurted out, wracking his brain to comply.

His imagination instantly wandered into scenes unfit for children—scenes that would never pass Qidian's content review.

"Good," Sakura nodded.

"If you do, go read them yourself. Talking to you is really annoying."

The boy was terrified on the spot.

Naruto thought, I'm exhausted, then covered his mouth while laughing hysterically inside.

Congratulations! This kid may now proceed to the "King of Girlfriends" to drink the Clown Potion!

The shocking story spread instantly. Haruno Sakura was soon labeled "sharp-tongued," and the boys who had planned to pursue her quickly gave up.

During this period, some idiots began spreading rumors about Sakura. When Naruto heard, he saw it as a golden opportunity—so he dragged Sasuke along and beat them all up.

Time flew by.

Today, the seventh-year students were assigned a mission to help an old man catch his cat.

According to the plot, Naruto would cause a scene after completing the task, prompting the Third Hokage to assign them the Land of Waves escort mission.

Before leaving, Naruto greeted Sakura.

"I'm about to clear the Land of Waves dungeon," Naruto said as he organized his genin tool pouch.

"I've observed for quite some time. There are no signs of other time travelers appearing in Konoha."

"It's reasonable to conclude that aside from the two of us, there are no others. Honestly, I think there really aren't any."

Sakura didn't respond—she just rubbed her eyes.

Her right eyelid had been twitching nonstop.
