Chapter 122 - [122] Ginny's Tangled Heart Descends Deeper

"I've heard that Ravenclaw's Diadem can bring wisdom, but I don't know if it's true or not."

Argus looked the Diadem up and down, but had no desire to put it on.

The more powerful the magic, the greater the cost of using it.

If it could truly bring wisdom to people, Dumbledore would probably have already tried every means to get his hands on it, so how could it have fallen into Voldemort's hands?

It was even corrupted into a Horcrux!

"With the Diadem, half of my mission at Hogwarts this year is complete."

"Next, we need to help Ginny make a big fuss about this, until everyone knows about it!"

"Students at Hogwarts are frequently petrified, and the professors and headmasters are powerless to do anything about it."

"If Fudge and the Board of Governors can seize the opportunity, they might be able to get involved at Hogwarts."

Argus walked toward the Slytherin common room as he pondered this.

"It's a pity that the petrification spell's effect is completely different from the basilisk's petrification; otherwise, I could have done it myself without Ginny's help."

Using the Disillusionment Charm, Argus returned to his dormitory and fell into a deep sleep on his bed.

The next day.

In the potions class.

Because of Harry's Parseltongue, almost everyone regarded him as the successor to Slytherin.

Argus, who was once the prime suspect, is no longer a target of suspicion.

At least no one will deliberately avoid him anymore.

Argus hadn't expected Harry's situation in Gryffindor to be this bad.

Nobody even calls on him during class!

The result of Harry and Ron being ostracized by Gryffindor was... being late.

Other classes are fine, but it had to be Snape's Potions class.

Look at the anxious Harry and Snape, then look at the expressionless Snape.

For some reason, Argus always felt that there was a hint of schadenfreude in Snape's eyes.

"Mr. Potter, if I remember correctly, this class should have started five minutes ago."

"I...I just..."

"Just what? Just went to see your snake friends?"

Snape's taunt drew a furious glare from Harry.

"Now, go and stand at the back of the classroom!"

"Gryffindor loses ten points. Remember, that's ten points for everyone!"

After Snape finished speaking, he turned to look at the other young wizards.

"If your heads weren't stuffed with reeds, you should know…"

"Immediately... turn to page ninety-seven in your textbook!"

The sound of pages turning filled the air, accompanied by Snape's sharp tongue, and the class came to an end.

After class, Argus saw Ginny again on his way to the Transfiguration class.

After some time apart, her face was noticeably paler.

It wasn't weakness caused by fatigue, but a sickly state where there wasn't a trace of blood in the skin.

Her once vibrant red hair had become dry and brittle.

It looks a bit messy.

"It seems Ginny has used Voldemort's diary quite a bit."

"Otherwise, you wouldn't have become so haggard."

"Unfortunately, that's not enough. It's time to add fuel to the fire!"

Argus deliberately walked ahead, pretending to bump into Ginny unintentionally.

"sorry!"

Ginny noticed something was wrong with herself lately, and she was often lost in thought.

This wasn't the first time she'd bumped into someone, so she instinctively apologized.

"It's nothing, I wasn't paying attention."

Upon hearing that familiar voice, Ginny looked up in surprise.

She was met with Argus' gentle smile.

"Mr. Grindelwald…"

"Just call me Argus. I've never called you Miss Weasley, have I?"

"A...Argus," Ginny called out tentatively.

Her face flushed instantly, which made her look much more normal.

"Don't be nervous. Although Slytherin has some conflicts with Gryffindor, they won't take it out on you."

Sunlight streamed through the window and fell on Argus's face.

The blue pupils shimmered faintly with a fluorescent light.

Ginny was mesmerized, her eyes filled with admiration.

"What are you doing!"

A roar from not far away instantly pulled her back to reality!

Ron rushed over and pulled Ginny behind him.

"Don't touch my sister, you evil Slytherin!"

"No, you've misunderstood!" Ginny hurriedly grabbed Ron's arm, afraid he would do something impulsive.

"I just bumped into Mr. Grindelwald!"

"There's no point in talking to someone like him! Let's go!"

Seeing that more and more people were gathering around, Ron grabbed Ginny's arm and walked to the other side of the passage.

Argus did not react at all, maintaining his polite smile.

Argus watched Ginny leave.

His goal had been achieved.

A young girl in love with someone she secretly admired, but unable to gain the approval of her family.

She was even at odds with her own brother.

This inner turmoil and predicament had nowhere to be expressed but in Voldemort's diary.

Argus believed Voldemort would make good use of the opportunity he had created for him...

...

Evening.

When the dormitory was empty.

Ginny quietly opened the door a crack and carefully observed her surroundings.

After confirming that no one would come in, she quietly reached her hand to the bottom of her suitcase.

She took out a black-wrapped diary.

Opening the book, she found it already densely covered with writing.

"Tom, I don't know what to do."

Ginny took out a quill pen and just wrote a sentence.

A bizarre scene unfolded.

Without any warning, a sentence slowly appeared on the notebook.

"Is it because of Mr. Grindelwald? With that surname, Mr. Grindelwald will definitely be a prominent figure at Hogwarts. If you want to gain his favor, you need to become even more outstanding."

"I know... but what happened today isn't surprising. It was my brother; they almost got into a fight because of me..."

...

At the same time.

Harry, ostracized by Gryffindor, went to the attic alone.

At least he had Ron with him before, so even when he was ridiculed, he had a friend by his side.

But this afternoon, for some reason, Ron acted like he was on steroids.

Not only were they dissatisfied with him in every way, but they even chose to stay away from him in order to avoid being ostracized by others.

This made Harry, who already needed to talk things out, feel even worse.

He tried to clarify things with others, but the Gryffindors were unwilling to approach him, let alone listen to his explanation.

He had just tried to go to Headmaster Dumbledore, hoping to get some help from him.

But without the principal's office's permission, he couldn't even get in the door!

After spending half a day on the high platform in the attic, and with curfew approaching, Harry dragged his heavy steps slowly toward the common room he least wanted to return to.

As he reached the stairwell, the voice that had haunted his dreams countless times rang in his ears once more.

"Kill...Kill!"

"Time to kill!"

He was about to chase after the sound when he suddenly remembered what happened with Mrs. Norris last time.

He gritted his teeth and ignored it.

He continued along the same route, preparing to return to the Gryffindor common room.

He had only taken a few steps when a ghost floating motionless in mid-air caught his attention.

He turned his head and tentatively looked in that direction.

Just below the ghost, a petrified little wizard suddenly appeared before him.

Harry couldn't hold back any longer and rushed over to check.

"It's Justin!"

He reached out to the petrified Justin, trying to assess his condition.

The next second, a hoarse voice appeared behind him.

"I caught you red-handed!"

"What excuse do you have this time, Potter?!"
