Chapter 121 - [121] Ravenclaw's Diadem – Claimed at Last!

Argus looked at Harry and the serpent with great interest.

His eyes held a look of inquiry.

Is this the legendary Parseltongue?

Is its purpose to communicate with snakes, or to control them?

If it's used to control snakes, then it would be incredibly useful!

Especially in intelligence!

Who would have thought a snake could be an intelligence agent?

He never held the prejudice against Parseltongue that ordinary wizards did.

Dumbledore also speaks goblin and mermaid languages!

How many people in the magical world have died at the hands of these two species?

Why does no one consider these two languages to be symbols of Dark Arts?

It's just that in the past, well-known Parseltongue speakers were all Dark wizards.

Perhaps I should try to learn about the languages of other species; maybe it will have a positive effect on my understanding of other languages as well.

While he was thinking, Snape had already made his move.

A magical spell pulverized the serpent.

He stared at Harry with a strange look in his eyes.

"What did you just do?!"

Justin Finch-Fletchley awoke from his shock and angrily questioned Harry.

Harry looked around blankly and found that everyone's eyes were filled with fear and horror.

Including Lockhart, who loves to show off!

Many people whispered and pointed at Harry.

He tried to explain something, but as soon as he got close, everyone scattered and fled.

It was as if he were some kind of terrifying magical creature.

...

The first Duel Club event ended with Harry revealing his Parseltongue.

The once enthusiastic young wizards lost all interest in playing.

The news that the Savior was a Parseltongue speaker quickly spread throughout Hogwarts.

Wherever Harry goes, he inevitably attracts strange looks from others.

Even his roommate asked Professor McGonagall to change dorm rooms!

This made Harry even more frustrated.

"Ron, why...why is everyone treating me like this..."

He confided his grievances to his only good friend.

Ron's reaction, however, was completely unexpected.

Why didn't you tell me?!

"Tell you? Tell you what?"

"You speak Parseltongue!"

"Parseltongue? Does that mean you can communicate with snakes?" Harry asked doubtfully. "I once released a python at the zoo, and it almost attacked Dudley."

"What does that prove? Many people can do that, right?"

"No, Harry!" Ron's expression turned serious.

"Parseltongue is an extraordinary talent."

"It's a...very bad thing!"

"What's wrong with that!" Harry was getting a little carried away too.

The anger that had been building up over the past few days finally erupted.

"If I hadn't stopped the snake from attacking Justin..."

"Wait, you said you told him not to attack Justin?"

"You were on stage at the time, only a few meters away from me, didn't you hear me?"

"I heard you speaking Parseltongue, that's the language of snakes," Ron explained. "I don't understand what you're saying, but the tone is terrifying, it sounds like… you're ordering the snake around!"

"I'm speaking another language!" Harry didn't understand and stared blankly at Ron.

"That's right, Harry, do you know why the Slytherin symbol is a snake?"

How could I possibly know?

"Because... Slytherin was a Parseltongue speaker, so he could talk to snakes just like you."

Hearing this, Harry finally understood.

Why did everyone look at me with such fear back then? And why was I ostracized by everyone at school?

It turns out that in their hearts, I have already become the successor of Slytherin.

"Now the whole school thinks you're Slytherin's great-great-great-great-great-grandson!"

"But I'm not!" Harry roared hysterically.

Then he murmured under his breath, "It can never be!"

...

The Room of Requirement grants every request made outside.

Argus stood opposite the tapestry depicting the giant club beating Barnabas.

He walked past this wall three times.

He kept thinking about Ravenclaw's Diadem.

After Lockhart's dueling club incident, everyone believed that Harry was the heir to Slytherin.

This caused the gaze that had once been fixed on him to quietly disappear.

This also gave him the opportunity to sneak into the Room of Requirement after curfew using the Disillusionment Charm and the Marauder's Map.

Pushing open the smooth door, what came into view were messy mountains of garbage.

As far as the eye could see, there was no end to them.

"Good heavens, no wonder Voldemort is so confident in his Horcruxes."

"They're all hiding their secrets better than the last!"

"Even if a wizard knew where it was hidden, he probably wouldn't be able to find it in this pile of garbage."

"Unless you destroy it directly with Fiendfyre!"

"Luckily... I got a few in advance!"

Argus took Slytherin's locket from his pocket.

Horcruxes can sense each other.

This is also why he didn't choose to look for the Ravenclaw Diadem last year.

How long would it take to sift through this mountain of garbage?

"However, the Room of Requirement is indeed strange. It has limitations on many kinds of magic, and even the Summoning Charm cannot be used."

"It seems that Dumbledore also found the Mirror of Erised in the Room of Requirement."

"Looking at it this way, ancient magic does indeed have its unique aspects."

"Fortunately, it has various limitations, otherwise, given Voldemort's personality, he would definitely have set up traps all over this place."

Argus held the Slytherin locket in his hand, closed his eyes, and carefully sensed the magical fluctuations emanating from it.

The sense led him slowly forward.

He passed through one garbage mountain after another.

Finally, it stopped in front of a large pile of furniture and clutter.

"Reducto!"

Argus was unwilling to rummage through the garbage.

The simplest way was to just blast it open with magic!

Anyway, Ravenclaw's Diadem wasn't that easy to break.

A series of explosions rang out, but fortunately the Room of Requirement was able to block out all the sounds inside.

Even if this place were to explode, no one outside would feel a thing.

A series of explosive spells were unleashed, and the entire mountain of garbage made of dilapidated furniture finally collapsed.

Argus frowned and waved his hand to brush away the dust in front of him.

Holding the locket, he once again sensed the location of the Horcrux.

Go forward... to the right... then forward again...

He opened his eyes.

An ancient-style statue appeared at his feet.

Upon seeing the statue, a smile finally appeared on Argus's face.

"Finally found it, Ravenclaw's Diadem!"

The statue wore an exquisite crown that seemed completely out of place.

A large green gemstone was set in the pure gold crown, and a soaring eagle was depicted on the forehead.

It was covered with sparkling diamonds.

Argus removed the Diadem and read aloud the line of small characters engraved at the bottom of the Diadem.

"Exceptional wisdom is the greatest wealth of mankind."
