Chapter 105 - [105] Outrage Unleashed!

"Incendio!"

Once all the students had gathered around, a towering flame erupted from Argus's wand.

He had previously worried that releasing a powerful and destructive spell might accidentally injure other students.

Now, there was nothing to worry about!

As for Lockhart... well, let it be an accidental injury!

He caused the trouble; we should be grateful if we can clean up his mess!

Boom!

The blazing fire, fanned by the wind, turned the classroom a deep red.

It was like the end of the world had arrived!

The group of young wizards stared blankly at the scene before them.

They couldn't believe it; they were both second-year students, yet they couldn't even cast a fire spell properly.

Argus had become so terrifying!

Even their parents might not have been able to do this!

The mournful cries of the Cornish pixies echoed in everyone's ears.

One by one, humanoid coke-like figures fell from mid-air.

The intense magical fluctuations finally attracted the attention of the surrounding professors.

The closest one was Professor Flitwick, who was in charge of Charms class.

Ignoring the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs who were in class, he used Wingardium Leviosa to rush toward the classroom at high speed.

But Professor McGonagall was the first to arrive.

In less than a minute, professors from all four houses had gathered in the classroom.

Professor McGonagall saw the still-burning flames above the classroom and her eyes flashed with anger.

Her subconscious thought was that Lockhart was showing off to the students again.

As Lockhart's former teacher, she immediately rebuked him: "Professor Lockhart! How could you release Cornish pixies in the classroom! And use such dangerous magic!"

"Do you know that these young wizards have only been in school for a year and have absolutely no means of defense!"

After she finished her reprimand, it was discovered that Lockhart was not among the crowd.

She couldn't help but show a look of doubt.

Harry timidly raised his hand: "Professor McGonagall, the magic just now wasn't cast by Professor Lockhart."

"It was because of Argus that he...that..."

"Argus?"

Several professors found it hard to believe.

The spell just now would be extremely impressive even for an Auror, let alone an adult wizard!

Only a very few could do it!

They could hardly believe their ears that a mere second-year student could wield magic to this extent.

The other young wizards perked up and chimed in, all trying to vouch for Argus.

"That's right! It's Argus! Those Cornish pixies were throwing dragon bones at us just now, thank goodness we had Argus!"

"If it weren't for Argus, we would definitely be injured this time!"

"We can all testify, Dean!"

"Is that so, Mr. Grindelwald?" Professor McGonagall turned to Argus and asked.

Argus smiled modestly: "It wasn't just me who took action. The success of dealing with these Cornish pixies was the result of the combined efforts of all the Slytherins and all the wizards."

Professor McGonagall's eyes revealed admiration.

She could tell that the key to dealing with the Cornish pixies was that terrifying fire spell.

Besides a professor, the only person present who could potentially have cast it was Argus.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that it was all his achievement.

But he was willing to share this glory with all the wizards!

He didn't hesitate at all when he spoke!

It was truly remarkable that a young wizard at an age when he was supposed to enjoy being in the spotlight could do this.

"Mr. Grindelwald, your magnanimity is as admirable as your magical skill,"

Professor Flitwick was very satisfied with Argus's spell and praised him, saying, "To think of combining a whirlwind to sweep away the flames with a raging fire, using the wind to amplify the power of the flames, is truly a clever idea!"

"For your courageous act of protecting your classmates, Slytherin receives 20 points!"

"For the Slytherins to work together to fight the Cornish pixies, here's another ten points!"

"Gryffindor bravely stepped in to save their house from danger, earning five points!"

It wasn't that Professor Flitwick was biased; it was just that, as a professor, he still possessed the most basic judgment.

Most of the Slytherins around him were holding wands, compared to far fewer Gryffindors.

Only about one-third.

Anyone with a little thought would know that the main force must have been Slytherin members.

If the main and supporting roles received the same bonus points, Slytherin students would probably feel it was unfair.

Hearing that everyone had earned extra points for their house, cheers erupted from the crowd.

Many people cast grateful glances at Argus.

They weren't stupid.

If it weren't for Argus sharing the credit with them, they wouldn't have gotten any of the extra points this time!

"Perhaps we should be concerned about where Professor Lockhart had gone?"

Snape's words drew everyone's attention back to what was happening in the classroom.

Only then did everyone realize that Lockhart had fainted from the pain at some point.

A magic wand was stuck straight in the center of his buttocks.

The wizard's robe was stained with blood.

Many witches blushed at the sight!

Professor McGonagall was trembling with anger. If it weren't for the young wizards around her, she might have grabbed Lockhart by the ear and given him a severe scolding.

The farce had come to an end.

Lockhart was dragged into the infirmary under Snape's disdainful gaze.

Accompanying them was a group of mischievous young wizards.

Their injuries were not serious, just abrasions.

But Professor McGonagall, who cared about her students, still sent them to Mrs. Pomfrey for a checkup.

...

During dinner.

News of what had happened in the classroom had spread throughout Hogwarts.

Most wizards realized that their legendary adventurer teacher did not seem to be as powerful as they had imagined.

He couldn't even handle a swarm of Cornish pixies!

In contrast, Argus was surrounded by little wizards who came to greet him.

Draco and the others stood around Argus, constantly complaining about Lockhart's unreliable behavior.

"I really don't know what Professor Dumbledore was thinking, to find someone who can't even handle Cornish pixies to be our professor!"

"Yeah, it's better to find a few Aurors from the Ministry of Magic than to bring him here! Any one of them is better than him!"

Listening to their discussion, a slight smile crept onto Argus's lips.

Gilderoy Lockhart's situation seemed to have handed him a good opportunity!

The person was brought by Dumbledore. After this happened, no matter how he argued, he couldn't escape the charge of misjudging people!

If this matter was handled well, coupled with Harry and Ron's recent incident, it could be a great opportunity.

This would greatly benefit his next actions!

"Okay, stop complaining!"

"The person was chosen by Professor Dumbledore; it's impossible to send him back after only one day of class."

"We are just students, and what we should do is to attend classes properly."

A few words, seemingly comforting, actually made everyone even angrier.

Pansy remained silent for a while, then slammed her hand on the table!

"So many of our classmates are injured, we can't just ignore them!"

"That's right! We're students, but our parents aren't! I'm going to tell my dad right now!"

"I'm going too!"

"Wait a minute! My dad's on the school board, let me speak first!"
