Chapter 83 - [83] Possess My Body!

In the mirror.

In his past life, his family members, Vinda, Grindelwald, and others sat together happily.

The mother was telling Vinda funny stories from her childhood, and a knowing smile would occasionally appear on her face.

Grindelwald and his father raised their glasses and drank together, their faces turning red.

Scenes that are impossible in reality were perfectly integrated in the mirror.

"So, what I wanted most was the company of my family..."

"I thought I would see scenes of me conquering the wizarding world in the future, or traveling back to the world I once knew."

Argus gazed quietly at the scene in the mirror, unconsciously becoming absorbed in it.

Since he transmigrated to this world, he had always viewed everything from a superior perspective.

Even though he'd had contact with many people, he'd never truly felt a sense of belonging.

The image in the mirror filled the last void in his heart.

"What did you see?!"

Just then, Voldemort's sinister, emotionless voice rang out from behind Quirrell's head.

This broke Argus's reverie.

Argus reacted quickly, without turning his head, his tone calm.

"I saw myself become a leader of wizards, revered by countless wizards."

"Really?" Voldemort controlled Quirrell's body to slowly move forward.

His words were full of doubt.

"This mirror can reflect what you desire most in your heart. If we're talking about what you want to see, teacher, it should be you, teacher."

"Instead of someone like me who doesn't even know what things are, is that right?"

How did you know the purpose of this mirror?

Argus chuckled and pointed to the very top of the mirror.

"The mirror itself has already given me the answer; I just need to read it backwards."

"What I show you is not your face, but the desire in your heart."

"What I desire has never been a particular object. Your wish to obtain something through me is likely to be dashed."

Voldemort fell silent and slowly walked towards Argus.

In his mind, Quirrell's terrified voice screamed wildly.

"Master, Master, you can't do this!"

"Master, I am your most loyal servant!"

"Master, you can't do this!"

Voldemort ignored Quirrell's pleas and continued to approach Argus.

"Argus, I have to say."

"You are the most talented wizard I have ever seen. Your magic, your observation skills, and your understanding of people are all unmatched by ordinary wizards."

"Thank you for the compliment, teacher!"

Argus keenly sensed something was wrong and quietly took a step back.

His hand unconsciously reached for the wand at his waist.

"However, your current learning speed is still too slow."

"I have a great method that will allow you to quickly master all my knowledge..."

Voldemort's tone was seductive, but Argus knew perfectly well what he was up to.

Reject directly.

"I'm sorry, teacher, but I think it's better to be down-to-earth when it comes to learning."

"Disobedient students won't be liked by teachers."

"Come, let me enter your body, and you will gain all my knowledge. Before long, you will become a leading figure in the wizarding world!"

Voldemort drew closer, his expression growing increasingly greedy.

The next second, the two spells were fired almost simultaneously!

"Expelliarmus!"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

Bang!

A violent explosion rang out!

Smoke and dust filled the air, and Voldemort's figure appeared.

"Are you so sure I won't use the Killing Curse?"

"You can't bear to kill me, teacher! If you kill me, you'll only be able to use Quirrell's half-dead body to cause trouble for Dumbledore!" Argus said with a mocking smile, his eyes constantly glancing towards the entrance.

Damn it, Harry, are you drunk?!

It's been so long, why aren't they here yet!

But he forgot that the Devil's Snare used as a buffer at the cave entrance had long been burned to ashes by him!

It's a miracle that Harry and Ron didn't die from the fall...

Voldemort stroked his wand and waved it to disperse the surrounding dust.

"It's been almost half a year since our last class."

"Today, let me see just how much you've improved in the last six months!"

"As you wish!"

Argus made a semi-circle with his wand, assuming the salute of an ancient noble duel.

Voldemort retrieved his wand.

As a mixed-race individual who reveres noble pure-bloodedness, he placed great importance on the etiquette of pure-blood families.

Especially in a battle where victory is considered assured.

He didn't mind showing off his magnanimity.

He twirled his wand in a circle, held it upright in front of his chest, and then forcefully swung it downwards and to the right.

Just as they were about to bow, a loud incantation rang out!

"Expelliarmus!"

Immediately afterwards, a thick red light came rushing towards Voldemort!

In his haste, Voldemort only had time to raise a transparent shield in front of himself.

But compared to the blinding beam of the spell, this shield was far too thin.

Click!

A crisp sound of a shield shattering rang out.

Voldemort was sent flying and crashed heavily against the wall.

The shattered walls and the flying dust left him covered in dirt and looking quite disheveled.

Argus wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by; he waved his wand repeatedly, emitting bursts of light.

A series of spells rushed toward Voldemort.

Voldemort was forced to use several Protego in succession to barely block Argus's spells.

"Good, very good!" Voldemort laughed in fury.

"Thanks to your excellent teaching!" Argus didn't mind at all and didn't feel the slightest guilt for his sneak attack.

"Speaking of which, I learned this 'any means necessary' trait from you."

"Sharp-tongued and quick-witted!"

Voldemort had recovered from the sneak attack and began waving his wand wildly.

Unleashing spells in a frenzy.

Argus, equally defiant, picked up his wand and aimed it at Voldemort, doing everything he could to buy time.

The crackling sounds of the spells colliding and the muffled thuds from hitting the stone walls echoed throughout the secret chamber.

The ground cracked, and the walls collapsed.

In addition to fighting, the two also had to dodge falling rocks from time to time.

However, Voldemort's combat experience far surpassed that of Argus, and his years of research into Dark Arts had made him far superior to Argus in both spell combinations and timing of their release.

Soon, Argus was so crushed that he couldn't lift his head!

"Fight back, my good student!"

"What about the Dark Arts I taught you? Aren't you going to use them?"

"Do you, like those fools, believe that using Dark Arts is an unforgivable taboo?! Hahaha..."

As Voldemort gradually gained control of the battle, he finally had the confidence to regain his footing verbally.

Damn it, why isn't Harry here yet!

Even if you were having a baby, you should have finished by now!

Argus cursed inwardly, but due to his distraction, he was knocked to the ground by Voldemort once again.

"Stand up, Argus!"

"After studying for half a year, is this all you've got?"

Voldemort laughed mockingly, but suddenly a beam of eerie green light appeared before his eyes!

"Avada Kedavra!"
