Chapter 35 - Chapter 31

After Keith reached the Hufflepuff dorms, the first-years were guided through the round, warm tunnels. The earthy scent, soft lantern-light, and gentle hum of magic made the place feel like a hidden sanctuary rather than a school dormitory.

When they finally arrived, Professor Sprout smiled warmly at Keith.

"Mr. Runcandel," she said gently, "you'll have a private room. It belonged to Cedric Runcandel generations ago. Tradition says a Runcandel always rests where their magic resonates most strongly."

Keith raised a brow—surprised but not displeased. He bowed politely.

"Thank you, Professor."

Rias watched him from her spot, acting natural, but inside she was already waiting for Keith's telepathic explanation.

Once everyone settled and the prefects gave their instructions, Keith projected his voice gently into Rias's mind:

"Rias, I'm heading to the portable dimension. Come when you can. I'll wait for you."

Rias blinked once—her silent "yes."

No one else noticed.

Keith entered his room and admired it briefly:

old Runcandel-style calligraphy on the walls, reinforced wooden beams carved with runic symbols, a large window enchanted to show soothing skies, and a crest—Cedric Runcandel's crest—glimmering faintly above the bed.

Keith nodded in approval.

"Cedric's room… makes sense."

And with that, he activated his portable dimension and stepped inside.

In Rias's Dorm

Rias waited patiently. One by one, the Hufflepuff girls drifted off to sleep. When the last set of soft snores filled the room, she waved her hand lightly.

A shimmer of crimson magic formed beside her—a perfect body double climbing into her bed.

Just to be safe, she layered a sound barrier on the curtains around her bed.

Rias slipped into the portable dimension.

Inside the Portable Dimension

She arrived to find Keith playing with Ho-Oh, who fluttered its majestic wings with a proud cry. Near him stood Darkrai, silent and loyal like a shadow-attendant.

The moment Keith sensed Rias, he smiled warmly.

"Darkrai, you can rest now."

Darkrai bowed and melted into the shadows.

Rias walked to Keith, and before she could speak, Keith reached out, pulling her gently but firmly into his arms.

The two of them made their way into the house within the dimension—a cozy home with warm lights and a bed that radiated comfort.

They lay down together, and Rias wrapped her arms around Keith's waist while Keith held her protectively. No words were needed.

Their breathing synced.

Their warmth intertwined.

And soon enough, both drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep—far more restful than anything Hogwarts could offer.
