She went down hard, legs splaying in four different directions. Slid several feet before managing to dig her claws in and stop herself.


Her enhanced combat instincts kicked in immediately.


She twisted. Launched herself sideways off the ice. Hit normal stone and ran—low to the ground, zigzagging, using every trick her beast form knew about evasion and speed.


Water erupted from the fountain behind her.


It arced over her head like a massive hand reaching.


The water twisted mid-air. Followed her movement.


It split into multiple streams. Surrounded her.


The water slammed together from all sides.
