[The fourth main scenario is about to begin in 5 minutes.]
Ken was still sitting in front of the corpse of his last opponent– contemplating as to why he died so easily.
Yeah, it is indeed true that Jeung is too sharp, and had cut through the sword in itself. Which no one, even himself, didn't expect to happen.
Like– most of the time, this type of fight has insane choreography happening. But he also couldn't blame much, since he knows how bad he is when it comes down to fight scenes, which is why he always made them as short and as effective as possible.
[Hello everyone! Just from the faces of those who haven't gotten into these fights, I can tell that you guys must be really relieved, right?]
On one hand, the incarnations were asking this and that to the dokkaebi, while he was ignoring them and saying whatever he was feeling like.
On the other hand, Ken had taken off the upper garments to take the weight vest off. He felt embarrassed to do it here, but he had no choice. If he didn't take them off and gain the mobility he needs, he might as well just become a slave to the elected leader. Lucky for him, everyone was just too busy with the dokkaebi.
[Anyway. What I was saying is that you guys have to complete a perquisite mission first. Things will get a bit chaotic if there are too many people here.
That's why you guys need someone to lead you.]
Hearing that, all the incarnations were looking at the dokkaebi in confusion.
[... Are you guys dumb or what? What I mean is that you guys simply need a leader to lead you!]
[A new sub scenario has arrived.]
[Sub scenario: Leader election.]
[Difficulty: C.]
[Description: Take the white flag installed at the center of the platform.]
[Time limit: 30 minutes.]
[Reward: 1,000 coins, The winner is elected as the leader of Jongno station.]
[Penalty for failure: None.]
[Special note: You will be granted absolute authority over others in the station if you are elected as the leader.]
After reading the new sub scenario, everybody frantically looked at the center of the platform as they noted the flag.
But unfortunately for them, there was someone already there. Ken knew the mission to be the leader, which is why he had quickly taken off the weights and was already standing beside the flagpole.
Just as he takes the flag, multiple notifications start coming.
[You have taken the White flag from the flagpole.]
[You have been elected as the leader of Jongno station.]
[You have been granted the right to walk the King's path.]
[Kennedy has taken the White flag.]
[If the flag isn't taken from him within 5 minutes, the Jongno station will be under his command.]
[If the ownership of the flag is changed, a new leader will be elected and the 5 minute timer will reset.]
Seeing this, everyone in the place becomes agitated and starts running towards him.
"Hey! Everyone! If you don't take it from him within five minutes! We will become his slaves! Who wants that?! If not! Get him!"
For some reason, one of the people started to lead everyone to hunt Ken down. But before they had realized, Ken had been long gone.
The moment he grabbed the flag, he had started to run away while everyone was still busy reading the messages.
[Some constellations are a bit interested in the chase.]
"Hahaha! Dumbasses! You guys should have gotten to me instead of wasting your time!"
Ken was giggling like a maniac. The moment he grabbed the flag, he ran into the corridor and started to run out of the underground.
"Fuck yeah! You guys can't go into the poison!"
But the moment he came out above. He realized that the poison fog was gone. When he checked the timer, four minutes were still left.
Which is why he picked the safest and easiest way to avoid everyone. To simply get to the top of a tree. Even if he had never climbed a tree despite his cousins being able to do that… Well, even they must have forgotten it after not climbing for so many years.
As everyone comes out of the underground, they frantically start to look for him to no avail. As who could have expected someone to literally climb a tree in the park.
After a while, Ken starts to feel bored and after checking the timer, he comes out by himself. Just the moment everyone tries to rush towards him.
[The sub scenario has been completed.]
[You have been given 1,000 coins for your achievement.]
[You have been elected as the true leader of Jongno station.]
[People in your group: 49.]
[You have been given authority over the Jongno group thanks to the power of the White flag.]
[You can punish any member who disagrees with you.]
[You have insufficient fame to be named a king.]
But before anyone could get to him, they got pinned to the ground with a mysterious force.
[You have punished a few of the members using your authority as the leader.]
Ken claps his hand to draw everyone's attention to himself before starting.
"Hello everyone! As you might already know who I am! So! All I have to say is that all you guys have to do is just stay at the station and protect it. I will do everything on my own!"
Hearing him, most of them left stunned and confused. While some question him about his intentions and motives. He simply answers.
"Well… the only job you have is to stay and protect the station. My job is to do the scenario." He declares confidently.
"Then… what is the scenario anyway?" A middle aged man asks.
"Oh. That? It should be here–" Just then, another notification comes in. "Here it is."
[Main scenario 4: Capture the flag.]
[Difficulty: C.]
[Description:
1: Each station is given a flagpole where the flag can be planted. (The flag can only be carried by the leader.)
2: You must defend the flagpole from other groups. If a group plants their flag in your flagpole. Your station will be taken over by the station that planted the flag and your group's fate will be at the disposal of the group that planted the flag.
3: You can plant your flag in the flagpole of another station. The flag can only be used by the leader. If the leader dies, the next person to pick the flag will be the leader. If someone from another group picks up the flag first, your group's fate will be left at their disposal.
4: You must plant your flag into a specified target flagpole within the given time, or everyone in your group will die.
5: The target for your group will be Geumho station.]
[Time limit: 12 days.]
[Reward: 2,000 coins.]
[Penalty for failure: ???]
"Look. This is what I was saying. You just have to protect the station, I will do the rest of the job by myself."
Saying this, Ken walks back to the underground. As everyone follows him down, they are left speechless.
[Some constellations are confused at what you are doing.]
[Constellation Forefoot runner says that what you are doing is ridiculous.]
Ken slowly walks towards his weights and puts them back on as he goes towards the flagpole again and lifts it up as he had already broken it off the ground.
Some members ask him about what he was doing, and his answer simply being. "I'm going to throw it into the Han river. As long as they can't plant the flag, we are safe." He says all that as he gives a thumbs up before starting to head towards Geumho station.
[Some constellations are baffled by your idea.]
[Constellation Merchant of Venice is impressed by your idea.]
[Constellation Merchant of Venice has given you 500 coins.]
Geumho station. According to Ken's memories, this should not be a station that can be taken over– 'Oh. Right. It should be. If not, then it wouldn't make sense for so many people to be able to become a king… I feel like a dumbass.'
After a long while of walking. He finally manages to reach the Geumho station. And lucky for him, the station actually had a flagpole and no one had taken over it yet.
"But before that, I have to throw this out." As he heads out to throw it away to the Han river.
