"Wow… wow, what's going on?!" Akai shouted, eyes wide. Everything in the room—books, pens, even Riyu's toy blocks—was floating around like they had minds of their own.
"This is amazing!!" Yuri laughed, reaching out as his hair lifted slightly from the air currents, spinning around as if the room itself had a heartbeat.
"Akai Kuraiyami… I am Earl, the Orb," a glowing voice echoed, smooth and powerful. The golden-black sphere pulsed gently in the center of the room. "I am the source of your power… Eclipse Genesis."
Akai's heart raced. He muttered nervously, "…O-okay… c-can we… settle down? Can everything stop… floating?"
Slowly, the objects drifted back into place. The bed creaked as it lowered to the floor, curtains fell gently, and the air seemed to calm. Akai and Yuri sank onto the carpet, catching their breaths.
"Sit down, Akai," Earl continued, his voice echoing softly. "I am your power—the ultimate gift of the gods. I exist to amplify every ability within you: your strength, gravity control, shadow manipulation, the very essence of life and soul energy. I am Eclipse Genesis."
Akai swallowed hard. He looked at Yuri, who sat cross-legged beside him, grinning like a maniac.
"So… this thing is basically… you? My power?" Akai whispered.
"Yes," Earl replied. "I am the origin… the core of your potential. No mortal power can surpass mine, yet I am bound to you. Together… we are unstoppable."
Yuri leaned closer, eyes shining. "Bro… that's insane! Your power… it's like everything rolled into one! Gravity, shadows, time, soul energy… you're basically a walking apocalypse!"
Akai's cheeks flushed. "I… I didn't ask for this…"
"Do not fear," Earl said calmly. "Your strength is immense… but it must be guided, controlled. I exist within you, bound to your very being. You are my anchor."
A quiet moment passed. The orb pulsed softly, golden threads of light weaving through the room, before it sank slowly, merging seamlessly into Akai's chest. He felt heavier, yet infinitely more alive.
"I am yours, Akai Kuraiyami," Earl said one last time. "But remember… such power carries responsibility… and danger."
The orb sank back into Akai's chest, and the room grew heavy with a strange, powerful aura. Shadows stretched along the walls, twisting as if alive. Akai's eyes widened—he was shocked, overwhelmed by the sheer energy coursing through him.
Yuri, completely hyped, bounced around excitedly. "Brooo! Can you imagine what you can do now?! Gravity? Check! Flight? Check! Shadow stuff? Heck yeah! Time and space? Dude, you're basically a walking apocalypse!"
Akai grabbed his chest, trying to steady his racing heart. His mind spun with all the possibilities—and all the responsibility. Everyone he could protect, every life he could save… and the Abyssal Beast that had killed his dad.
Slowly, he took a deep breath, letting the chaos inside him calm. A small, determined smile formed. "Yeah… I can do this," he whispered to himself.
"Okay, Yuri… I'm going to the bathroom to wet my face," Akai said quietly.
"Alright then, Akai—the Legendary God," Yuri teased, smirking.
"Ughhh," Akai mumbled, shaking his head.
He reached for the door—and as he opened it, the entire door flew off its hinges with a loud crash.
"Huhh?!" Akai shouted in disbelief.
"Bahaha! Bro, you have super strength too?! That's insane!" Yuri laughed, eyes wide.
Akai stepped into the bathroom and splashed cold water onto his face, letting his thoughts settle. The golden-black pulse of Eclipse Genesis shimmered faintly beneath his skin, reminding him of the power now living inside him.
When he returned, Yuri had already set up his sleeping bag beside the bed, grinning like a kid at a sleepover.
"Ready to see what's next? Your legendary powers… about to blow the roof off," Yuri said.
Akai lay back, staring at the ceiling. "Yeah… let's see what I'm really capable of."
The two friends dozed off, the room calm but humming faintly with the energy of Akai's eyes snapped open.
"Aaahhahha!!" he shouted as pens, clothes, and even Riyu's small toy blocks floated around the room.
"Bahhah! Morning, Legendary God!" Yuri cheered, bouncing on his sleeping bag.
"What the—ughh!" Akai groaned, rubbing his face.
Slowly, everything fell back to the floor with soft thuds.
"Akaiii! Yurii! Time for breakfast!!" Riyu shouted, giggling, while their mom called out from the kitchen.
At the table, laughter filled the air. Riyu stuffed her cheeks with rice, squealing as Akai made a silly face, while Yuri bragged about Akai's powers:
"Bro… gravity, flight, shadow stuff, time-space flux… you could literally wreck the world if you wanted!"
"Ughhh… stop exaggerating, Yuri," Akai mumbled, though a small smile appeared.
Breakfast went on with playful teasing, giggles, and even a little friendly food fight, Riyu squealing with joy at every bit of chaos.
After breakfast, they got ready for school. Akai tightened his tie, Yuri bounced around, and Riyu waved goodbye.
Outside, Primton glimmered in the morning sun. They walked to the bus, which glided smoothly along the roads filled with other students showing off small spells.
At Netherfall High, the towering black-and-white building shimmered with glowing blue tech lines. Students floated books, made objects hover, and whispered jokes as Akai and Yuri entered.
Class went by mostly normal, though Akai felt a faint pulse of energy deep in his chest. His powers were stirring—Eclipse Genesis humming softly beneath his skin.
After class, Akai and Yuri headed to their lockers. That's when Nash appeared, a smirk plastered on his face.
"Didn't think charity cases like you made it this far," Nash sneered.
"Back off," Yuri growled.
"Still no powers, huh, Akai? Late bloomer?" Nash taunted, stepping closer.
Akai's chest tightened. Something inside him surged.
"Enough," Akai said, his voice low but firm.
Before anyone could react, he grabbed a locker door to block Nash and effortlessly slammed it into the wall. The metal bent, Nash stumbled back, wide-eyed.
"Wh-what the…?!" Nash shouted.
"Bro… you have super strength?!" Yuri laughed, eyes wide.
Akai's heart raced. This was the first time he'd truly used his power in the real world.
Suddenly, a calm but piercing voice cut through the commotion:
"Kuraiyami… I see your power has awakened. After school, we begin your training."
Akai froze. He looked up to see Ishima Takayuki, standing in the doorway, calm and serious. The faint glow of Eclipse Genesis pulsed from Akai's chest, shadows twitching slightly along the walls.
Akai swallowed hard. His first fight was over… but this was just the beginning.
Akai's awakening, the first step of his god-given power waiting to be explored.
