Megumai reached out and tapped her son's lips, smiling, "It seems our Seiya-kun is quite ambitious! You'll be like a Daimyo, with a house full of wives and concubines, spreading the family line far and wide."
Seiya's face immediately flushed.
He lowered his head and rubbed his temples, slowly exhaled, and pleaded helplessly, "Mom, isn't it too early to talk about this?"
Megumai smiled sweetly and gently pinched her son's red cheek, "It is a bit early. We have to wait a few more years."
Seiya secretly breathed a sigh of relief, glad that the topic was finally over.
Megumai, however, was still reminiscing and suddenly sighed, "Mom heard an old saying: 'You can see the future of a three-year-old.' Now that I think about it, it really fits your behavior, Seiya-kun."
"What does that mean?"
Seiya raised an eyebrow, looking at his mother curiously.
Megumai pursed her lips and smiled, "Son, when you were little and went shopping, you saw a toy, you loved it, and you bought it. Even if you already had it at home, you still had to buy it."
Seiya's expression froze.
He took a sharp breath but didn't exhale.
He deeply regretted engaging with his mother.
He covered his face with his hand and said helplessly, "Mom, didn't we agree not to talk about this? Besides, can toys be compared to girls? That's far-fetched!"
Megumai raised her chin slightly, thought for a moment, and nodded in agreement.
"Seiya-kun, you're right. The example Mom just gave wasn't very appropriate; it had a connotation of belittling women. Let Mom give another example, okay?"
With that, Megumai looked at her son with expectant eyes.
The mother and son looked at each other for a while.
Finally, Seiya sighed and raised his index finger, "Last time. After you finish, we must skip this topic."
"Okay!"
Megumai beamed with joy and said, "Mom remembers when you were drinking milk as a child. Even the side that you weren't drinking from, you would still find a way to occupy!"
Seiya was stunned by the words.
He inhaled awkwardly and immediately burst into a violent cough.
"Son, why are you reacting so strongly?" Megumai asked, knowingly, her eyes full of smiles.
She gently patted her son's back to help him catch his breath.
Finally, Seiya regulated his breathing and slowly said, "Mom, I think the toy example was better."
Megumai feigned grievance, "You just said Mom's example was far-fetched!"
Seiya took a deep breath and admitted his mistake, "That was the son's inexperience. I momentarily misunderstood. Mom's judgment is brilliant, and the example couldn't be more appropriate!"
Megumai smiled sweetly and lightly nodded her chin.
"Being able to correct a mistake-you're teachable."
While the mother and son were chatting, Samui suddenly knocked and walked in.
"Teacher, there are two guests outside."
"Guests? I'm not seeing them."
Megumai frowned and refused.
"I don't handle official business at home. Tell them to find Atsui at the Shinobi Hospital if they have business. Don't interrupt my conversation with my son!"
Seiya quickly interjected, "No, no, Mom, you must see them. These two guests are Shinobis I rescued from outside the village."
"You brought them back?"
Megumai was slightly startled.
She didn't ask further and immediately nodded in agreement.
"Okay, Mom will go out and meet them."
Then, she pointed to her thin bathrobe, "Mom will go upstairs and change first."
A moment later, Megumai came downstairs in a black formal suit.
She and Seiya and Samui walked out of the house together and into the courtyard.
Yugito Nii was accompanying Uchiha Mikoto and Karin, standing in front of the gate.
Megumai glanced at them and understood the situation. She then bowed slightly.
"I apologize for the wait. I am Seiya's mother-Megumai."
What a beautiful aunt!
Karin was full of admiration.
She forgot to breathe for a moment, staring blankly at the woman in front of her.
She sighed internally: Compared to her, Yugito-neesan's and Samui-neesan's beauty is somewhat ordinary. No wonder Tojo-kun is so handsome. He inherited his mother's looks.
"Please come in, everyone. Welcome to the Tojo residence!"
As she spoke, Megumai deactivated the Sealing Barrier covering the entire courtyard, allowing Uchiha Mikoto and Karin to pass.
As for Yugito Nii and Samui, one was a long-time friend, and the other was a direct disciple.
They were trusted individuals recorded in the barrier and were not blocked. Besides them, no one else could enter.
Karin walked into the courtyard, looked up at the barrier that was slowly turning transparent and disappearing, and murmured in praise, "It's so amazing."
Megumai smiled and explained, "Just a little measure to protect the home.
It can isolate any form of external prying or unauthorized entry.
I learned it years ago from a friend of the Uzumaki clan."
Then, Megumai looked at Karin and smiled, "The Uzumaki clan's country was destroyed, and most of the surviving descendants went into hiding. I didn't expect to be lucky enough to see another Uzumaki descendant today."
"..."
Karin's expression froze. She felt completely exposed.
After all these years in Kusagakure, she had never revealed her identity.
Today, her first day in Kumogakure, she was recognized twice in a row.
Are the Shinobis of the Great Shinobi Villages all so knowledgeable?
Karin was a little panicked and subconsciously leaned behind Seiya.
Megumai saw this and said gently, "Don't be afraid. Our Uchiha clan is also mostly gone. We are all people with similar circumstances-we share the same sorrow!"
Then, Megumai looked at Uchiha Mikoto next to her and sighed, "Mikoto, it's been a while. I never thought you would escape the clan massacre."
"Yes, I didn't think so either!"
Uchiha Mikoto nodded in agreement, lamenting, "All these years, you haven't aged at all. You are as young and beautiful as ever."
Megumai smiled sweetly, "Mikoto, you have been refined by the years and have gained a lot of simple and enduring charm."
With that, the two looked at each other and laughed softly.
They had only been nodding acquaintances before.
Now that their clan was annihilated and they met in a foreign land, they felt a lot of closeness, subtly resembling long-lost friends.
It was evening.
Megumai instructed her disciple, Samui, to cook and prepare a sumptuous dinner to entertain everyone.
The hosts and guests enjoyed themselves.
After dinner, Yugito Nii and Samui left under the cover of night, leaving the space for the four people from the dwindling clan.
"Sigh, who would have thought that Miko's child would go down the wrong path and kill all the clan members overnight!"
Mentioning the past, Uchiha Mikoto sighed with deep regret, finding it surreal.
Megumai comforted her, "Things are unpredictable. Live in the present. Kumogakure is treating the Uchiha very well right now. You can relax; you won't be in danger."
Uchiha Mikoto lamented, "Now that I think about it, our Uchiha should have betrayed the village! Uchiha Madara left Konoha and died fighting for his own beliefs. You brought your son to Kumogakure and escaped the disaster. I went into hiding, wandered everywhere, and survived until today. Unlike the other clan members, who died unjustly at the hands of someone who shared the same blood!"
Megumai gave a shallow, meaningful smile, "Fortunately, we survived. We will be the Ancestors of the Uchiha Restoration in the future!"
