Chapter 16 - Glory's orphanage

Chapter 16

After leaving the orphanage, the three came home. On their way home, Hailey ordered two new beds. Since Hazel insisted they would share a room, Hailey changed Hazel's bed, claiming the one she's sleeping on isn't new, but it was the same color as the one she replaced.

Before they got home, the beds arrived, and the mate and guard placed them in Hazel's room and cleaned it. As soon as they got home, Hazel and Zinnia went to freshen up. After they finished, they dressed up and checked out their mall haul.

"Hailey actually got the wardrobe changed," Zinnia said.

"Yeah, isn't it beautiful? I mean the room," Hazel asked.

"Yeah, and it's big. There's even a gym in here," Zinia said.

"Yeah, right," Hazel said.

"This cloth is really beautiful," Zinnia said.

"That's why I bought matching outfits. Let's assume we're real siblings; we'd rock everything," Hazel said.

"You know, I noticed something about you," Zinia said.

"What? Say it," Hazel asked, adjusting herself on the bed.

"You act like Emory, and you even resemble her too," Zinia said.

"Nah, you're the one who resembles Emory. You're even the same age, she might be your twin," Hazel argued.

"Nah, Emory is..."

Nathan's Residence

"Emory, Emory, come down for dinner," Miss Nathan, Emory's mother, called.

"Mom, I am here," Emory replied, coming down the stairs.

Dining

"Emory, you know the Queen's is right."

Emory asked as soon as she got to the dining.

"Yes, what's wrong?" Miss Nathan asked.

"They are in London, and they arrived just this morning. It said that they are searching for their three heiress.

You know, I pity those three. I'm sure that wherever they are, they might have lost their memory or they might have been kept captive by human traffickers. You know, if I were the one, I won't be able to live without you and Dad, most especially you, Mom," Emery said.

"Emory," Miss Naidan called.

"Yes, Mom," Emory replied.

"There is something we aren't actually telling you," Miss Nathan said.

Mister Nathan came into the dining.

"Dad, you're home," Emory said, greeting him.

"Evening, dear. Promise you won't get angry, dear," Mister Nathan replied.

"I promise. Just tell me. You are already scaring me," Emory replied.

"We and your Dad aren't actually your biological parents," Miss Nathan said.

"What? Mom, what do you mean? If you are not, who are my parents, and why haven't you told me all these years?" Emory asked angrily.

"We adopted you because we needed a child. We adopted you at Glory Orphanage," Miss Nathan said sadly.

"Wait, what?" Emory exclaimed.

"Yes, and also you have a twin sister. Her name is Zinnia. We only needed one child, that's why we adopted only you. We've been wanting to tell you, but we were too scared that you might get angry and emotional for keeping it from you," Miss Nathan said.

"But what about my twin sister? Why didn't... What? Can't you think of her? And you left her alone, and she might have been heartbroken thinking no one wants her? And that... How would I be able to find her? Mom, Dad, what's her name? Just tell me Emory said angrily."

Glory orphanage, Mrs Nathan said.

"Did you just say Glory Orphanage?" Emory asked.

"Yes," Miss Natgan said.

"Her name is Zinnia.

Wait, what? Zinia, Mom? I... I think I might have met my twin sister. Her name is Zinnia.

We attend the same school, and she also stays at Glory Orphanage," Emory said.

"Really?" Mister Nathan asked.

Yes you know.....

Torrence Mansion

"Emory is from the Nathan's family, one of the top five richest families in London," Zinnia explained.

So, Hazel asked unbothered.

"Unbelievable! I mean, she can't be my twin, Hazel." Zinnia said.

"She can maybe she was adopted." Hazel said...

"Hazel, why do you talk like this? It seems you've watched so many K-dramas and Chinese dramas, right?" Zinnia said.

"Let's call her," Hazel suggested.

"Okay," Zinnia replied as she dialed Emory's line.

After a few rings, she picked up.

"Emory: hey Zinnia."

"Zinnia: hey how far.

Emory: Fine, Zinnia. Where are you?"

"Zinnia: I am with Hazel at the Torrance Mansion."

"Emory, okay. I will be right there."

"Zinnia, okay. See you."

"Emory: see you,"

Emory said before ending the call.

The boys were at the penthouse:

"Hey bro, aren't you going home?" Killian asked his friends.

"I am on my way," Kenzie replied.

"Yeah, I'm also on my way," Levi replied.

"Ok, bros, bye," Killian said, leaving.

"Bye," his friends replied, also leaving for home.

Torrence Mansion

"Mom, I am home," Kenzie said, entering the mansion.

"At this time, Eric?" Kenzie's father asked, sitting in the sitting room with a laptop in his hand.

"Oh old man, you're home," Kenzie replied.

"Hey son, remember I'm still your father, and I'm the one giving you millions as your weekly allowance," Eric said.

"Blah blah blah," Kenzie said.

"Kenzie, is that the way to talk to your father?" Hailey said, coming down the stairs.

"He started it, Mom," Kenzie said innocently.

"Just go upstairs, you must be tired. Go freshen up and come downstairs for dinner," Hailey said to Kenzie.

"I'm okay. I've eaten pizzas some minutes ago, so I'm not hungry. Good night," Kenzie said, going up to his room.

"Night, son," Eric said.

After that, "Night old man," Kenzie replied, leaving.

"Completely, that son of mine is really gonna steal you away from me," Eric said to Hailey.

"Nah, he is our son, so he can't steal anyone away."

"Yeah, you would always side with him and not me. He is someone else's future husband, and I am your husband," Eric replied.

"Are you jealous of your own son?" Hailey replied with a smile.

"Jealous? Na I am not jealous," Eric replied.

"Oh really?" Hailey asked.

Before Hailey could see anything else, a guard came to inform them about someone's arrival.

"Ma'am, sir, the Nathan's family is here, and they are asking for Miss Zinnia," the guard said.

"Let them in," Hailey said.

"You, you come, come here. Go upstairs and inform the girls," Hailey said to one of the maids.
