Chapter 15
After riding the motorbike to different places around the city, Hazel got a call from Hailey to come to the mall, which made the two girls head there.
"Hey, mom!" Hazel said, hugging Hailey.
"How are you, dear?" Hailey replied, hugging her back.
"Hazel, did you just hug the famous model and call her mom?" Zinnia asked, surprised.
"Is this your friend?" Hailey asked.
"Yeah, her name is Zinnia," Hazel replied.
"Wow, anybody who sees you two would think you're siblings," Hailey said, pulling Zinnia into a hug.
"You can also call me mom, dear," Hailey added, secretly pulling a strand of Zinnia's hair.
"Mom, I also want another hug!" Hazel said, joining them, which gave Hailey the chance to pull a strand of Hazel's hair too.
"Okay, Zinnia, why don't you join us?" Hailey asked.
"Yeah, that's why I came here – Hazel asked me to join her for shopping," Zinnia replied.
"Okay, let's go,"Hailey said, taking the two girls into the shopping mall.
"Zinnia, you can pick anything here, the bills are on me," Hailey said.
"But things are costly, and I'm just a poor orphan, so no worries," Zinnia replied.
"But I said I'd pay," Hailey said.
"Mom, don't mind her, she'd surely pick what she wants," Hazel said, dragging Zinnia into the mall.
"Wow, Hazel is so carefree, and Zinnia is just the opposite – they both really look like siblings Hailey's assistant whispered.
"That reminds me, take these strands of hair and do a DNA test," Hailey said giving her assistant the strands of hair she secretly pulled. "Okay, ma'am," the assistant said, leaving for the hospital.
Later, the three left the shopping mall exhausted, with the bodyguards hands full of shopping bags. "Wow, I'm exhausted," Hailey said.
"You really stressed me today Hazel, I need to go home and rest," Zinnia said.
"You actually bought clothes for the orphans alone, Hazel said.
If not for you, she wouldn't buy a single cloth for herself," Hailey said.
"Was that why you bought almost all the designer clothes in the mall, and the most expensive ones?" Zinnia said.
"And I'm proud of myself" Hazel said proudly.
"Girls, get into the car, Zinnia. I'll drop you off" Hailey said.
"Okay, mom, and thanks for today. I really appreciate" Zinnia said.
"You're welcome. Since you're Hazel's friend, there's nothing I can't do for Hazel that will make her happy" Hailey replied.
"The bodyguards would ride the motorbike.
You both should get into the car now and Let's get going" Hailey added.
"Okay, mom" Hazel replied.
Glory's orphanage
"Do you mean you live in an orphanage?" Hailey asked as soon as she saw that the car stopped right in front of an orphanage as Zinnia directed.
"Yes, mom" Zinnia replied.
"Take this card and find yourself an apartment. You are too old to live in an orphanage. Leave this place by tomorrow" Hailey said.
"No thanks. You've done enough for me so I can't collect this. And the woman inside the orphanage treats me like a daughter, so I'm allowed to live in the orphanage till this date" Zinnia said.
"Just take it. Must you be forced you before you collect something... Just see it as a gift. Like I said" Hazel said.
"Girl, you are really lucky to have her as a second mom" Zinnia said.
And I'm lucky to have you, Zinnia added.
"Then come live with us and she would adopt you" Hazel said.
"Hazel, don't say anything again. I am okay in the orphanage" Zinnia said.
"Yeah, Hazel is actually right... Thank you for the idea, Hazel. Let's go get the adoption papers signed" Hailey said getting down from the car.
Wait, what? But won't your son or husband talk?" Zinnia asked.
"No, my husband is nice and he would be supportive with anything I do. That's not wrong" Hailey replied.
"Come on, Hazel, follow" Hailey added, going into the orphanage.
Zinnia thought everything was like a dream cause she didn't know her life would take a turn like this overnight.
"Thanks, mom. You've really done a very good favor" Zinnia said in tears.
"But how come you are in an orphanage?" Hailey asked.
"Fifteen years ago, I was saved from an accident with my twin sister and we were brought to the orphanage cause we didn't know our true identity because the smoke affected our memory" Zinnia explained.
"But what's about your twin?" Hazel asked.
"She was adopted a few days later after we were brought into the orphanage" Zinnia replied.
"What's her name?" Hazel asked again.
"Emory, I tried searching for her but I couldn't cause she's all grown now" Zinnia explained.
"Is that why you are friends with the Emory in school?" Hazel asked.
"Yeah, cause she's bearing my twin's name and she's nice" Zinnia replied.
"But I won't lie though... You and Emory look a lot like each other... If not because you are blonde and she has black hair" Hazel said.
"Hazel, enough" Haley said.
"And who is Emory?" Haley added.
"Our other friend" Zinnia replied.
"Okay, let's go. We are done with the paperwork and the bodyguards already dropped the clothes you bought for the kids in the orphanage. And as from now on, you are my daughter and Hazel's sister" Haley said.
"Thanks, mom. You are the best" Zinnia said, hugging Hailey, tears falling from her eyes.
"Hey, why the tears? Stop crying or else I would cry. And one thing I hate is tears. It shows how weak someone is. " Hazel said.
"Yeah, don't cry, okay" Hailey said, wiping Zinnia's tears.
