Golden City
"System sign-in," Raeven said as he looked at the former city of gold, now just bare earth. All the gold from here is extracted by them.
"Brother, we got all the gold, even the gold inside the snake," Enel said as he walked forward. Beside him are Ace and Castle.
"Good, you didn't kill the snake, right?" Raeven asked.
"I just knocked it out, so we can take all the gold; it will wake up in a few hours," Enel said.
"The only thing we left is the golden bell," Enel added.
"Just leave it there; Robin should be done giving the seeds to the people, right?" Raeven said.
"There's a high chance she is reading the poneglyph again," Enel said.
"Let's go; we've been here for 2 weeks. Let's go back home," Raeven said.
When Raeven, Enel, and Ace headed to where Robin is, they found her talking to the elders of the Shandians.
"The words from our ancestors said that, in the future, a large war that will engulf the whole world will happen again, the gods will battle, and the Sun God Nika will free us all." As Polaris landed, these are the words that they heard.
"When that time comes, we the Shandians will devote everything to help the Sun God Nika," the elder of the Shandians said.
"Did they say when it will happen? As for the past, the void century, do you guys know about it?" Robin asked.
"We don't have the records of those times anymore; the knock upstream and the continuous war that our tribe faced here destroyed a lot of our records. Sorry, but I can't help you with that one," the elder said.
"It's okay, elder; you already answered a lot of my questions. Thank you for your help," Robin said as she stood up and walked towards the Polaris.
"Are you done with your research?" Raeven asked when he saw Robin on the deck of the ship. Robin sat down beside him, and she opened up a small notebook.
"I learned a lot here; sadly, the records of their past are gone, especially the details on the Void Century," she said as she looked at her book.
"We can go back now; I need to see the other books that we have so I can search for a small clue," she said.
"Ace, let's head back home," Raeven said.
"Got it, Big Brother."
2 days later Polaris returned to Sixis Island. Enel and Castle headed towards Kozaburo's Smithy so he could turn the gold into solid gold bars, Ace headed back home, and Robin returned to her room, while Raeven headed to the Dracule Tower too.
After taking a bath, he headed to the top of the Dracule Tower. When he reached the flower garden, he was surprised when he saw two people there.
"Oh Raeven-kun, welcome back," Rayleigh said as he drank his coffee, which looked like it was freshly made. On the other side of the table is Mihawk, who has a steaming cup of coffee too.
"Rayleigh-san, it looks like you became bored again. Does Shakky-san know you are here?" Raeven asked.
"Hahahaha, I recently sold myself as a slave, and the noble who bought me is from here at East Blue. After taking some changes, I left the ship," Rayleigh said laughing, which made Raeven and Mihawk's lips twitch.
"You two already have a lot of money already; it seems like not causing trouble will kill you, Rayleigh-san," Raeven said, then he sat down, and a Ninja Khan appeared holding a small notebook and a pen.
"Get me some meat and side dishes good for 10 people," Raeven said to the Ninja Khan, and then it quickly vanished.
"It's been a while since your last visit; let's drink. Also, tell me about the latest news," Raeven said as he pulled out a barrel of booze.
"That's great; going here is the best choice," Rayleigh said as he laughed. A few minutes later, while the three were drinking, the food arrived.
"The World Government is moving; I think they are going to recruit the new captain of the Sun Pirates," Mihawk said as he sliced a steak.
"The Knight of the Sea Jinbei, one of their crewmates, is a friend of mine; he's an octopus fishman, and his name is Hachi," Rayleigh said.
"Rumors said that he defeated 6 vice admirals when they were ambushed in the New World," Mihawk said.
"A new addition, huh? You, me, Hancock, Crocodile, Hanafuda, and Jinbei—only one more slot is open," Raeven said.
"It's not one brother; two slots are open. The lizard king Hanafuda lost against Gecko Moria," Mihawk said, which made Raeven surprised.
"What? So this happened when I was on the sky island? I want to watch their fight. What a pity," Raeven said.
"Hanafuda attacked Gecko Moria's giant ship; unfortunately for him, his manpower is limited. The subordinates he got had their shadows harvested by Gecko Moria. In the end, he escaped, but his left arm and leg are gone. The world government quickly acted and removed him from being a Warlord. Now he is last seen fleeing towards the New World," Mihawk said.
"Gecko Moria wanted to become a Warlord, but the World Government rejected him, saying that his strength and influence are not enough," Mihawk added.
"Whahahaha, the Five Elders are really good at using people. This is why they recruited us first when they launched this Warlord System. The benefits of being a Warlord have nothing on us, but not being attacked by marines is a huge bonus. That's why I told Hancock to accept the position too; being chased and fighting the Marines every time is a huge hassle," Raeven said.
"That's why we avoided them too in the past; after all, warships don't store large amounts of money on them. The only thing you can loot from them are food and ammunition. Only when we are forced do we engage them," Rayleigh said.
"As long as the world government doesn't abolish the warlords system, we will stay there; let's just develop steadily for a while," Raeven said, and Mihawk nodded.
"In a few years, once those kids from your family grow up, the world government will have a huge headache," Rayleigh said as he grinned.
"Peace is not forever; once the gear of fate starts to move, this world won't stay this quiet, and the seas will become chaotic," Rayleigh added.
"Shanks told you about the kid, right? I met him too, but he is still too green; hopefully he will grow stronger before he starts his journey," Raeven said.
"So you already met the kid? What a pity I can't go there. Also, we are not supposed to meet yet; I'll wait for him at Sabaody Archipelago," Rayleigh said.
"Also I have some other news too; Tritoma is pregnant," Mihawk said as he sipped his coffee.
"WHahahaha! That's the greatest news I've heard. Finally you've done it. I'm proud of you, Mihawk," Raeven said as he began slapping Mihawk's shoulder.
"You already got ahead and got Stussy pregnant; that's why Tritoma became even more aggressive," Mihawk said.
"What can I do about it? I'm only a man; I'm not a saint," Raeven said as he spread his arms wide, which made Rayleigh and Mihawk's lips twitch.
"Sit down already. What if someone saw you acting like that? It's embarrassing," Mihawk said as he quickly helped Raeven to sit down.
"This calls for a celebration. Stussy will give birth next year, maybe in the month of February, so now let's celebrate Tritoma-chan's pregnancy. Cheers!" Raeven said as he raised his giant beer mug.
"Cheers!!!" Mihawk and Rayleigh said.
"Rayleigh-san, do you know some large islands at the Calm Belt? I need at least 3 islands the same size as Amazon Lily," Raeven said after they took a drink.
"I know; tomorrow before I leave, give me a map, and I'll mark it for you. Those islands have 4 seasons too, but they are infested with big, ferocious animals; some of them can use Haki too," Rayleigh said.
"That's perfect. Also, Rayleigh-san, you should take this. I can see that you're already at your peak, but once you have this, selling yourself again would be hard. Whahahaha," Raeven said as he gave a gold ring to Rayleigh.
"You already gave one to Shakky, kid; this is very precious," Rayleigh said.
"Do you want to get older while Shakky-san is still young? If you want that, then I'll take it back," Raeven said as he was about to take the ring back, but Rayleigh was faster; he already wore it on his finger.
"I just said it's precious; I didn't say I don't want it," Rayleigh said as he laughed, then he smiled. He thinks that with this ring, raising a kid would be good too.
