Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Legendary Farmer of Sixis Island

The next day Mihawk arrived at the island with 3 more people: Shimotsuki Kozaburo, Koushirou, and his wife, Hana.

Kozaburo is fascinated by Strife; this is the first time he has ridden a flying cloud. Even Koushirou and his wife are shocked now they know why these twins are so hard to track.

When they landed on the island, they were surprised again as they saw Raeven is currently tilling the land; he wears black shorts and black farm boots. He doesn't wear any shirt, and on his head is a straw hat that he bought in West Blue before.

"Welcome to Sixis Island. I am Dracule Raeven. So, old man, what do you want?" Raeven said as he stopped and asked Kozaburo.

"I saw the news; your weapon, Silence, one of the 12 Supreme Grade Blades, is already a black blade, so when I met Mihawk before, I begged him to take me to you. I want to see it, a blade clad with Armament Haki so potent that the whole weapon turned black," he said with fervor in his eyes.

"Okay, just relax, old man; if your blood pressure shot up to the roof, then you won't be able to see it," Raeven said as he spread out his arms, and from the distance, Silence came flying towards him fast, then it landed silently on his palm like a sugar glider.

"Don't touch it, old man, or your lifespan might be drained," Raeven added as he saw Kozaburo was about to touch Silence. If he touches his weapon, then it will drain all of his Armament Haki, and he will be a dried corpse in a minute.

"I know about that; don't worry, I don't want to die yet either," he said as he looked at the scythe on Raeven's hand. When the system gave him Silence, it came with a feature like Mjolnir; it didn't matter where Raeven was, as long as he stretched his arms out and called for his weapon, it would come flying to him, and if someone tried to touch it, the weapon would drain their Haki.

After a while of looking, Kozaburo was not yet done recording it, so Raeven placed it on a pedestal that he specially made to chop some wood; after that, he continued tilling the land.

Koushirou and his wife, together with Mihawk, are currently around the island. After a whole day of looking at Silence, the old man Kozaburo made a decision that he'll move to this island, and Raeven welcomed him. The old man even said that even though he's old now, he can still forge some farm equipment, which made Raeven even happier.

The 3 are surprised again when they see the Ninja Khans, and they say that the ninjas from Wano seem like a bootleg version of the Ninja Khans.

When Mihawk heard Wano, he immediately became interested, so Raeven said what he knows.

"Wano, the closed land of Samurais, is headed by the 6 clans known as the Shimotsuki, Kouzuki, Amatsuki, Uzuki, Kurozomi, and Fugetsu clans. The current shogun right now is from the Kouzuki clan; almost all of the men there are Samurais," Raeven said, which surprised the three again.

"Did you visit Wano before?" Kozaburo asked.

"I read it from a book when we were on Ohara. In the past, Wano's borders were open, but something happened, and they closed off their country," Raeven said.

"You're right, a prophecy is passed down to every ruling family of Wano that someday he'll come back and the borders of the country will open up," Kozaburo said.

"Enough talking about history; you should go back to your homes. After the ninjas finish building your new house here, I'll call you," Raeven said.

It's almost night when the 3 left with Mihawk. Raeven, on the other side, returned to his cabin and took his white den den mushi, and with just two rings, the call got answered.

"Doctor Vegapunk, a pleasure meeting you. I am Dracule Raeven."

"Dracule Raeven? The kid with a bounty of 420 million?" Vegapunk said.

"That's right, I want to buy some machines from you. You see, my dream is to be the greatest farmer that ever lived and brew the best booze this world will ever taste, so I want you to design machines for my brewery and some solar panels. My budget is 700 million."

"A brewery, huh, and solar panels? 700 million is enough, but you should be the one to pick up the things; we are currently here in the Grand Line. Give me 3 weeks, and I'll make those things for you," Vegapunk said.

Raeven said nothing. The next day he headed to the nearest kingdom and sent the money to Vegapunk's account; now he was poor again.

"The pirates here are poor too. Should I surrender myself to the Marines and take my bounty, then break out and repeat it?" Raeven said to himself while he was using moonwalk to travel around. On his back is a huge backpack; he bought a lot of alfalfa seeds.

When he returned to the island, the Ninja Khans were still digging the cave, so Raeven returned to till his farmland. The first thing he will do is to plant the alfalfa seeds, then use the plant to fertilize the land. After that, he will plant his first batch of grapes and start making wine.

He planted the seeds perfectly; after all, he is a god-level farmer. He can grow anything, so after he planted the seeds on his 2-hectare land, he looked at it satisfied. Then he remembered that he needs to make a small canal for his farm irrigation. Luckily, Sixis Island has a river, but just like inland, no living animals are here either.

After doing everything, it's already late in the afternoon. Raeven is now tired. He looked around the island, and he smiled. This is their new territory, and it will stay that way from now until his death.

"It's time to raise the flag; I'll show it to Mihawk later. As for the place, I'll just place it on the top of my cabin for now."

That night the two brothers talked after they finished eating. Mihawk brought a lot of different saplings of fruit-bearing trees; tomorrow Raeven will clear a place and build it like an orchard.

Raeven showed the flag to Mihawk; it was a grim reaper holding a sword, and on its back was a giant golden cross that looked similar to Yoru's hilt.

"Magnificent, I'll tell the old man to make me a specialized pole to hang this, and I'll place one on Strife," he said.

"Also, you should see this," Mihawk added, then he showed Yoru, whose blade is now 30% black.

"You're progressing fast; Koushirou must be having a hard time dealing with you every time you visit them," Raeven said.

"The next time you visit them, bring some gifts. They had a dojo, right? You have a lot of money; you should bring them gifts if you visit them."

"Also, I contacted Dr. Vegapunk. Once the machines are built, I'll call you, and we are going to pick them up. Right now they're inside the Grand Line," Raeven said.

"Okay, brother, just call me. I'll explore the entire East Blue, and after that, I'll head to the Grand Line too," Mihawk said.

The next day Mihawk was up early as usual, but this time he was not training; he was currently looking at the small cabin and thinking about where he should put the flag. After a while he finally placed the pole on the roof of the cabin and placed the flag there.

After looking at it for a few minutes, he nodded and left, satisfied with what he did. Then he saw Lugia flying towards him; the bird gave a newspaper to him, then it saluted and flew towards a nearby tree.

Mihawk is still looking at the bird; he is thinking that in the next island he'll look for a tailor and make a customized suit for this bird, with their flag on it.

Raeven, on the other hand, just woke up; with a quick morning routine a few minutes later, he was out of the castle. He wore his farming mode clothes and picked up his farming tools, getting ready to clean an area for his fruit trees.

"What is the name of that island in the Grand Line where everything is edible again? I can't remember its name, but I know it's in the Grand Line. Can I grow those things too?" he thought out loud while walking towards the area planned to be cleared out.
