Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 : Bright Idea

After staying for while in the Downs island the two got bored, with no strong swordsman to challenge and no farming and brewing on the island the two left there after Raeven finished profiling it

"Hey Mihawk, I got an idea."

Raeven said as he looked at the map of North Blue; Mihawk just looked at him, waiting for his plan.

"You see, not all swordsmen are pirates. I know a place where we can maybe find someone who can give you a proper challenge," Raeven said.

"The Gangs here at North Blue?" Mihawk asked.

"Let's hunt down those marine swordsmen. We're already wanted, you see, and we are not going to kill them, just challenge them to a duel. After all, if those marines saw us, they would do anything to catch us," Raeven said to Mihawk, and his eyes shined.

"Hmmp, finally I can deal with those scums. You really are not a good person, brother, but this plan I like it," he said as he smiled.

"What the hell are you saying, you brat?! I raised you by myself, and you dare say I'm not a good person?" Raeven said, and Mihawk just laughed at him.

"Then should we have our flag too?" Mihawk said.

"We don't even have a ship; where are we going to put it?" Raeven asked.

"In the future we'll raise our flag, but not this time; a ship will slow down our progress, and riding on Strife is better. If you really want a ship, I'll buy one for you, and you can sail it yourself," Raeven said, and Mihawk hurriedly said that he didn't want a ship.

"Also don't worry about our flag; a grim reaper holding a sword sounds good, right?" he added.

"A Grim Reaper and a sword is good," Mihawk said as he imagined it.

After that the two of them started to visit marine branches near them. The strongest commander of a base in the four blues is either a captain or a commodore from the headquarters or a rear admiral who got promoted from the area.

After a month of visiting marine bases and defeating every marine on the base, a newspaper was delivered to them by Lugia; when he saw the headline, Raeven laughed.

"The Marine Hunters, Dracule 'Shinigami' Raeven and his brother Dracule 'Hawk-Eyes' Mihawk, attacked 5 marine branches in North Blue in the span of a month." Then Raeven saw that their bounty got up; his bounty is now 200 million beli, and Mihawk's is 190 million beli.

"Wahahaha, Mihawk, based on Morgan's newspaper, the Marines will send someone here to catch us," Raeven said.

"If they are swordsmen, then I will defeat them here. As long as those old geezers don't chase us, then it's good," Mihawk said as he remembered Garp. Fighting that old man right now is suicide.

"They will send the two super rookies of the Marines. I know those guys; both of them are Logia Devil Fruit users. One is magma, and one is light. I heard rumors that the user of the Light Fruit is a swordsman," Raeven said.

"A swordsman? Then I'll take him on when they come," Mihawk said excitedly. This is the first time he felt the feeling of being chased.

"Let's land on the next island and wait for them," Raeven said. He wants to see how strong and durable the future red dog of Marine really is.

7 days passed, and Mihawk and Raeven already found an island. It's a small-sized island about 10 kilometers wide; no human settlement can be seen on the island, just wildlife.

"Shakky-san called and said that the Marines will arrive here tomorrow. A medium-sized battleship with 400 crew on it and the rising stars of the Marines, Sakazuki and Borsalino—all of them are from the Marine headquarters."

Raeven said as he lay on a recliner near the shore.

"Borsalino and Sakazuki, I read about them on the news before. Borsalino uses his fruit power to form a sword, right? I've never fought someone like that," Mihawk said.

"As the user of the Light Fruit, Borsalino is a light man; his sword is a laser sword. Without strong armament Haki, your sword, Yoru, will melt under that laser," Raeven said.

"I'll take care of Sakazuki; that magma man is known for his durability. I'll fight him if they can withstand my Conqueror's Haki," Raeven said as he laughed.

"Just don't knock everyone out, brother, especially that guy Borsalino," Mihawk said.

"How boring," Raeven said; he was confident in his max-level Conqueror's Haki.

A day later, Mihawk saw a small dot on the horizon. He quickly stored his chair inside the castle, and he stood near the shore, while Raeven was still lying on his beach chair very calmly. If that warship had a dog head, then maybe he'd get excited, but right now, with his strength, Sakazuki and Borsalino are nothing.

On the Marine ship, a soldier hurriedly reported to Borsalino.

"We spotted the Dracule brothers on the island ahead; they seem to be waiting for us.

"They know that we are chasing them, and they still waited for us? That's scary," Borsalino said in his slow-ass tone.

"Hmmmp, pirate scums, prepare to land," Sakazuki said as his arms began to transform into magma. He raised his hands and then began to attack.

"Meteor Volcano," he said as he launched magma fists into the air towards the island.

"What a greeting, but it's too bright."

Raeven looked at it with a smile, and then on his side, Mihawk attacked; he swung his sword towards the meteors, and an emerald-colored flying slash tore the meteors that were about to hit the area near them.

The Marines on the ship quickly became shocked when they saw the meteors being cut down.

"That's Hawk-Eye's attack," a marine elite said.

"How scary," Borsalino said while Sakazuki just gritted his teeth.

The warship came near to the shore, and the Marines began to march towards the brothers.

"Pirate scum, you are under arrest," Sakazuki said as they got near Mihawk and Raeven.

"So this sleazy-looking uncle is my opponent, right, brother?" Mihawk said as he looked at Borsalino.

"That's right, let me clear the field first," Raeven said as his overwhelming Conqueror's Haki exploded out. The Marines instantly lost consciousness as they slammed on the ground. Borsalino didn't feel anything at all, but he was shocked by the overwhelming Conqueror's Haki and to be explicitly excepted from it. He was shocked.

Sakazuki kneeled on the ground, struggling to stand up; this is the first time he felt like this ever since he became a marine.

"Oh, I used too much force," Raeven said as he stopped using his Haki.

"Marine Headquarters super rookies, Borsalino and Sakazuki, don't worry, we won't kill you guys. While Mihawk and Borsalino fight, you're going to stay here with me, Magma Uncle," Raeven said as he remained on his beach chair. Sakazuki is still kneeling on the ground trying to recover from the burst of Raeven's conqueror's haki.

"Yooo, this is dangerous," Borsalino said as he readied himself. He looked at Sakazuki on the ground and then at Mihawk holding Yoru in front of him.

"Dracule Mihawk, I challenge you to a duel, Uncle," Mihawk said.

"This, what a rude brat, I'm still young," Borsalino said as his mouth twitched.

"Don't worry, Light, Uncle, my brother won't help; if you win, then we'll let you go," Mihawk said.

"Then be careful, rude kid," Borsalino said as he formed a sword using his devil fruit power.

"That's fucking cool," Raeven said on the side. This future marine admiral really knows how to put on a show when using his power.

"Cool, right?" Borsalino said with a smirk, and Raeven and even Mihawk nodded.

Then their duel started; in the first swing the gap can already be seen, as Mihawk lost in pure strength, but this surprised Borsalino too, because he is not holding back at all.

The exchanges between the two became very fast, and Mihawk is already having a hard time defending his attacks.

"The information we got about you guys is useless; how scary," Borsalino said as he and Mihawk exchanged attacks.

On the other side, Sakazuki finally stood up, and then, in the next moment, his body felt heavy, and he collapsed on the ground again.

Raeven used his sea stone punching bag, and he placed it on Sakazuki's stomach.

"This is… Sea Stone?" Sakazuki said as he felt his strength get drained.

"Magma Uncle, just relax; you're too hot-blooded. Just lie down there and enjoy a moment of relaxation," Raeven said, and then the Den den mushi in Sakazuki's pocket began to ring.

Raeven took it, and he answered the call; then the feature of the den den mushi transformed into something like a young version of Sengoku.

"Sakazuki, what's your status?" he said.

"Oh hello, this is Raeven. The magma uncle you are looking for is currently resting. I gave him a slab of sea stone to hug so he can relax. Borsalino is currently fighting with my brother. As for the Marines, they are currently sleeping; maybe they'll wake up after 7 hours," Raeven said.

"You are, Dracule Raeven. Tsuru already warned us about you. It looks like our intelligence about you is all wrong," Sengoku said.

"What are you aiming for?" Sengoku asked.

"Old man, are you right in the head? Your marines chased us, so when we waited for you guys, you thought we were scheming something?"

"In the first place, your marines are the ones who attacked us first, and we didn't kill anyone at all. My brother is just challenging your marines, so don't tell me that ambition theory of yours. You branded us as pirates, and then you ask what we are aiming for when we attack you guys. There is something wrong with your head, old man," Raeven said.

"What a rude brat," a female voice said on the call.

"If you continue challenging the Marines like this, we'll chase you everywhere you go," the female voice said again.

"Then come and chase us, old lady. Can your intelligence department even track us? Wahahahaha. If maybe someday you track us down, I'll give you a 50-beri reward, old lady," Raeven said, and then he ended the call.

Sakazuki on the ground is silent; he never saw someone call Tsuru an old lady. He is 100% sure that Tsuru is really angry right now; mocking her department and her age, even Sakazuki won't do that.

"That old aunty Tsuru should be boiling mad right now. Wahahahaha, there is a high chance she herself will chase us here in the North Blue," Raeven said, then he placed the den den mushi on Sakazuki's chest, and then he lay down again.

Marineford

Sengoku's office

The table is currently wrecked. Sengoku is just sighing as he looks at the table and the papers around the room. He stands up and calls someone to fix his office.

A few hours later, inside the meeting room of the Marines, two wanted posters are being shown on the image projector, den den mushi.

"Sakazuki and Borsalino, those two are not simple marine captains, and they lost to these two kids?" A marine vice admiral said.

"Sakazuki and the 400 crewmen with him are instantly subdued the moment they get near the target; all of them are knocked out by a burst of Conqueror's Haki," the information personnel reported.

"So this kid Mihawk already grew that strong? What about Borsalino?" A marine asked.

"Mihawk is a confirmed user of Conqueror's Haki, but he is not the one who overwhelmed Sakazuki and the others; it was his brother, Dracule Raeven, that used Conqueror's Haki to knock the crew out and pinned Sakazuki to the ground," Tsuru said as she walked inside.

"What? Our intel about this kid's strength is really too little, so he can use Conqueror's Haki that well now?"

"Exactly, Borsalino and Sakazuki themselves said that Borsalino isn't knocked out because he fought Mihawk in a swordsmanship duel," Tsuru said.

"Fortunately the enemy didn't kill them all. Borsalino said that Raeven let them all go; he suffered some cuts, but in the end he won the duel. He said that he only won because the kid Mihawk is still young."

"The only thing we can do now is to raise their bounty," Tsuru said.

After that a quick meeting happened, and they agreed to raise the bounty of the Dracule brother to 420 million for Raeven and 400 million for Mihawk. Also, Tsuru asked every base of Marines in the whole North Blue to see

They searched for the vehicle that the brothers are using to travel; they thought that they were using a submarine, and they wanted to see if they were really using a submarine.
