"We hit the jackpot this round, Ilisia, Ohara, Toroa, and Las Camp. 4 eternal poses are a very good start." Raeven took the eternal poses and placed them inside his bag, then he started to look around the place where he found 67 million beli of cash and another log pose.
When he came out of the deck, he found Mihawk holding a giant sword that looked like a cross, which made his eyes wide.
"Brother, look at this sword I found in their treasury. Also, they have a lot of gold and jewelry too. As for food and water, they have none," Mihawk said as he lifted up the sword with great difficulty.
"Guess our luck is pretty good, and the West Blue are welcoming us brothers. The sword I was talking about before is practically that one you are holding, one of the 12 Saijo O Wazamono, the great sword of yours," Raeven said with a smile.
"Starting today, you will use that sword," he added.
"But it's really heavy, and I'm struggling to lift it up. How can I use this properly?" Mihawk said as he placed Yoru on the deck of the ship.
"Then you should do some strengthening training. How can you be worthy of the strongest swordsman title if you're too weak to lift a sword?" Raeven said as he picked up the treasures and jumped off the ship. Mihawk followed him shortly while carrying Yoru.
"After we burn these trash with their ship, let's head in to the island." Raeven placed the treasures on a massive chest onboard Strife, and then he took 5 stacks of beli and pocketed it.
The two brothers started to clean up the place. Raeven threw the bodies of the pirates on their ship, and Mihawk is copying him perfectly. The brothers didn't care if the bodies got smashed on the ship or not. Using a bunch of clothes and wood to start a fire, Raeven and Mihawk burned them.
"In your next life try to be nicer," Raeven said as they left the burning ship.
After walking for an hour, the brothers finally saw a small village. The village had a pub, a small bakery, and a meat shop.
"Welcome to Grass Village. It's rare someone visits our small village. Are you two merchants?" A middle-aged man holding farm equipment greeted them.
"Oh hello, we're not merchants; my little brother and I here are exploring the sea to learn some swordsmanship. Is there any dojo on the island?" Raeven asked. After all, in their group of two, he is the one who always engages in these kinds of things; Mihawk rarely says anything—he's a shy kid.
"Oh! Welcome then, travelers. Sadly, our village didn't have that sword dojo you are looking for; maybe you should try and look at the other towns," the farmer said.
"Excuse me, mister, but we are new here on the west blue. What place or kingdom are we at now?" Raeven asked.
"So you two are from the other seas? That's very rare, and you don't look like pirates at all. This is Jambalaya Island, where our Jambalaya Kingdom is," the farmer answered. Before the brothers left, they handed a lot of sea king meat to the farmer for his help.
"Brother, do you have information on this island?" Mihawk asked. After all, his brother knows a lot of things; he'll be surprised if he didn't know something.
"Jambalaya Kingdom is a member of the world government. Right now I don't know who is their king, but based on my information, their military strength is quite good," Raeven answered.
"This will be a good start for you; let's go ahead to the other villages," Raeven added.
After that, the two of them started travelling through land, and before evening, they reached another place; it's a medium-sized town named Youngs Town. The brothers rented a room for the night; Raeven even rented out a stove to cook their dinner.
"This town is peaceful, but I can see the citizens are struggling a bit," Mihawk said as he ate.
"Every year a kingdom allied with the world government will give a protection fee called Heavenly Tribute; without it, your kingdom will lose your membership, pirates and other kingdoms will attack your land, and the Marines won't help you at all," Raevan said.
"Aren't the Marines the embodiment of justice? Why won't they help civilians and struggling kingdoms?" Mihawk asked.
"You saw it yourself at North Blue; non-affiliated kingdoms and islands there are infested with pirates and underworld groups. The marines are just dogs of the world government; without the funding of the world government, the marines will be crippled," Raeven said.
"That's why I'm staying low-key. It's not yet time for us to start attracting attention. You're already doing something high-profile enough; we can't risk anything further. Fortunately, the world government is currently busy dealing with Rocks and Roger, so we can move like this," he added.
"Don't worry, brother, I won't attract that much attention," Mihawk said.
"You won't yet; this is just the four blues after all. As long as we don't meet those stubborn old fools, then we are safe," Raeven said as he continued eating. After that, the four of them called it a night. Tomorrow Mihawk will start his new training with his new sword.
Year 1486, March 9th
Jambalaya Kingdom
It's been months since the Dracule brothers landed on this island, and Mihawk just finished clearing up all the dojos this kingdom has.
It took too long because of his new sword, Yoru, which he struggled to use in the first four months, but with the right training and eating a lot, he finally managed to use Yoru as a sword, and now almost a year has passed, and Mihawk can finally use it properly; he can even carry it now using a single hand.
"Congratulations, clearing this island while using a new sword. Your talent in swordsmanship is really monstrous; it looks like if I get into trouble in the future, I'll call you to save me," Raeven said as he looked at Mihawk, who was already 2 feet tall.
"Of course, I'll slice anyone who tries to hurt you, brother, but I doubt it'll happen; I can't even win against you," Mihawk said, and Raeven just laughed.
"In terms of swordsmanship I can't compare to you, but my strength and combat skills are very high. You're lucky that you have me, your big brother, to spar with you every day," Raeven added, then he handed a wide-brimmed black hat adorned with a large plume to Mihawk.
"Happy birthday, little brother; this is my gift to you," he said, and then he looked at Mihawk as he placed it on his head, and he smiled.
"System Sign In"
*DING* [Congratulations for surviving for 5 years, host; your reward is talent: god-level cooking skill.]
Raeven became speechless, and he blacked out for a few seconds; then after, he laughed.
"Mihawk, it's our birthday today, and I will show you the cooking skill I just learned," Raeven said as he laughed again.
[God-Level Cooking Skill: Your cooking skills are unmatched, and anyone who eats your food will always feel satisfied and happy. As a god-level cook, you have the knowledge of proper nutrition and proper diet; even a devil fruit will taste good if you cook it.]
After reading that, Raeven is tempted to try and cook a devil fruit just to see if it really will taste delicious, but in the end he didn't do it. Maybe in the future; after all, the world is sinking, and he didn't want to be a landlubber.
"I want that thing you made before, brother," Mihawk said as he excitedly chopped some wood for cooking using your
"Don't worry, tonight we'll eat like kings," Raeven said.
As usual, the two of them started to do their job. Mihawk is in charge of preparing the ingredients, while Raeven prepares the stove. Right now Raeven upgraded his makeshift stove; he got a reinforced steel one now, which was a custom-made stove from the blacksmith of Jambalaya Kingdom.
Raeven prepared 40 slices of sea king steaks, sea king soup, 20 skewers of sea king BBQ, and a plate of smoked flying tunas.
Mihawk's eye widens as he tastes the food, then he starts to eat more; in just a few minutes everything is eaten clean.
"This is the tastiest food I have ever eaten in my entire life," he said as he sat comfortably on his chair while patting his belly.
"Whahahaha, of course I'm the best chef alive. Rest well; tomorrow I'll teach you a technique that every strong man on the sea has," Raeven said as he pointed at Mihawk with a black finger.
"Can I really start learning that Haki thing you said, brother?" Mihawk became excited as he heard it. Raeven only discovered it 4 months ago when he remembered the qualification for training Armament Haki is physical strength, so when he tried it, he succeeded on his first try. After all, he got the physique of rocks.
"With your current physical strength you can start training it. Also, we will practice Observation Haki together, so rest up well; tomorrow we'll start training," Raeven said.
Grand Line, Marineford
"Sir, a report came in from Jambalaya Kingdom in West Blue," a marine officer said, and he placed a paper on the desk.
"A 5-year-old kid openly challenging every dojo in the kingdom? And he finished challenging them all after just a year, and he wields one of the 12 Supreme Grade Blades, the sword Yoru," Admiral Steel Bone Kong said while looking at the report.
"Dracule Mihawk and this elder brother of his, Dracule Raeven, I want you to find their backgrounds. If they're clean, I want them in the Marines; a talent like this should be ours," he said. The officer saluted and headed out.
"The sea is currently peaceful, but I can feel something bad is going to happen soon," he said as he sighed, then he lit up a cigar.
"This paperwork is killing me."
