Hector frowned, sensing how cold her hand was.
He sighed and rubbed Luna's head, trying to ease her discomfort.
Gently, he helped her sit against the rock.
Looking at her pale face, he smirked.
"Guess your mana's draining pretty fast?"
Luna smiled weakly and nodded.
He rubbed her head again, then took her sword.
"Your sword will be stained with the blood of that perverted fanatic."
About five minutes later, Hector hid behind the rock, watching the fight between Jack and the hideous monster.
Even though the battle clearly favored the monster, for some reason Jack, empowered by demonic energy, was still holding his ground.
Despite his battered body, Jack kept fighting back. His body broke again and again, only to recover moments later thanks to demonic mana.
Hector wondered who the real immortal monster was here.
But he knew the truth… the truth behind Jack's immortality.
It was nothing more than a curse—one shared by anyone holding a high position in the demon cult.
Actually, those in higher positions actually carried more of the Demon's curses.
However, he only knew two of the curses.
"YOU FUCKER! ONCE I KILL THIS DAMNED MONSTER, YOU'RE NEXT!"

A devastating punch from the hideous monster smashed into Jack's face, cracking most of his skull.
Less than half a second later, the monster twisted gravity around Jack and dragged him in.

Jack's body was shattered, and he felt his organs inside break into pieces countless times.
An endless torture inflicted by the hideous monster.
However, as time passed, the monster began to show signs of slowing down and weakening. Sure enough, Luna didn't have enough mana to maintain her summon. After all, she only had two mana cores.
Meanwhile, her opponent was a perverted fanatic with 5 mana cores and demonic power.
"YOU BASTARD!" Jack roared in rage and unleashed a flurry of punches at the monster. He'd caught the chance instantly, noticing its sluggish movements.
Naturally, the monster took damage, more or less.
But the moment it tried to activate its recovery ability, it became even slower than before.
It had burned too much mana already.
"Now, you die!" Jack laughed.
Then gravity wrapped around him again, dragging him toward the monster at high speed. He only smirked. After that strike, the hideous monster wouldn't stand a chance anymore.
Just endure this one hit.

This time, the monster didn't attack. Instead, it pulled him into a tight embrace.
"What the fuck! Let me go, you hideous monster!" Jack screamed, thrashing wildly to break free.
But in the next instant, a deathly cold pierced through his chest—from the monster's chest.
He trembled as he grabbed the sword and slowly looked up.
His face twisted with rage when he saw the familiar face.
"Again! You cowardly… always attacking from the shadows."
Standing behind the hideous monster, Hector twisted his sword mercilessly, driving it even deeper through both of them.
'"You have no right to say things like that to me when you're using the power of demons."'
Jack smirked, his voice filled with mockery.
'"You think you can kill me? I'm immortal."'
Hector giggled.
'"Don't try to trick me. That ridiculous regeneration of yours—it's just the power of a curse. And of course, a curse always comes with a heavy price."'
For the first time in his life, Jack showed a hint of panic. Still, he tried to hide his worry and forced a chuckle.
'"So tell me then, what is it?"'
Hector lifted his eyelids slightly, mocking him.
'"Lifespan."'
Silence.
'"I wonder how long you've been using that curse. I bet you don't have many lifespans left."'
'"YOU LITTLE SHIT!"' Jack screamed in rage and desperation, struggling to escape his situation.
Hector, of course, didn't allow that to happen.
With a simple movement, Hector channeled his mana into his sword and destroyed Jack's organs. Then he swung it downward, splitting both the monster and Jack in half.
But he didn't stop. He kept slashing Jack again and again, until he could no longer regenerate.
