Kamishiro, the man who sat in, had a perpetual sleepy face. He had a dark-hair buzz cut that matched his dark eyes and his gloomy energy. His eyes were covered in dark eye bags, as if he hadn't slept in days.
When he entered, all Hebidoku clansmen looked at him with disdain. He ignored all of them and sat down, and asked, "Well, what do you want?"
His lazy and laid-back demeanor caused an uproar from the Hebidoku side.
"You bastard! The clan patriarch should've killed you!"
"Your entire clan has been defeated, yet you—!"
Before he could finish, Kamishiro cleaned his ears with his finger and said, "Why should I care?"
Taro, amused, looked at his status window.
[Name: Kamishiro Hebidoku

Strength: 103

Taro's eyes widened, not because of the stats, but because of the title.
"Threadless Puppeteer? How'd he manage that?" thought Taro.
While Taro was pondering about the man, Fuji raised an eyebrow and said, "I've never heard about Daihi having another kid…"
Kamishiro rolled his eyes, "Well, now you do."
Although amused, Fuji ignored the antics and began setting his demands for the Hebidoku clan.
The demands weren't harsh nor were they unambiguous to the Hebidoku clan. All they asked was to be under the Hosai clan, like the two clans before them, and many other small things like giving techniques.
Kamishiro glanced at Fuji and said, "I'll agree to whatever you just said, but give my brother back."
Nao on the side scoffed, "You aren't the one making decisions here."
Kamishiro shrugged, "Then so be it. We'll fight to the death." He stared at Nao and smiled, "But I'm sure that's not what you want. From the looks of it, you guys are trying to match the major powers in the Land of Wind."
He paused and scoffed at the now frowning Nao, "But… without our full cooperation, that'll be harder for you to accomplish." His smile vanished, replaced by a serious face, "It's the opposite. We have nothing to lose, but you do. Bring my brother to me and we'll submit."
Fuji nodded, "Is that the word of your entire clan?"
A ninja from the Hebidoku clan was about to speak, but then suddenly, he felt something crawling on his back. Then seconds later, blood gushed out of his chest, effectively killing him.
"Yes. That is the word of the clan."
Kamishiro stood up without speaking and left the building.
A few days passed and Kise along with Ketsu as prisoner made their way toward the main grounds of the Hebidoku clan.
The meeting continued and everyone entered from both sides. Sitting on the Hebidoku side was Ketsu and Kamishiro. While Kise, Nao, and Fuji sat from the Hosai side.
The meeting officially began, and this time, there were no more hiccups. The Hebidoku clan was now officially under the Hosai clan.
The Hosai clan will be delivering food for the Hebidoku clan, and will aid them if they are ever attacked. And once the buildings are done in the Hosai clan, the Hebidoku will move in alongside the other two clans.
In return, the Hebidoku clan will give 5% of their annual income to the Hosai clan, alongside all their ninjutsus. And just like the protection from attacks, if the Hosai clan were to ever get attacked, the Hebidoku clan will join as an ally of the Hosai clan.
As the meeting concluded, everyone made their leave.
Kise and Nao were walking outside, when they suddenly heard a voice.
"It was you, huh, Kise."
The two brothers looked around and saw Ketsu, along with his brother Kamishiro, standing behind them.
The one who spoke was Ketsu. He continued, "Nothing ever changes, always ruining the peace like the fox you are."
As Ketsu insulted, Nao was about to bicker, but was stopped by Kise.
Kise smiled, "Let's go. Why entertain a dog barking? They'll just get louder."
Taro, who was about to leave, saw the interaction and was intrigued. He had been in this world for months now, and he had yet to fully understand his oldest brother.
From the outside, he's calm and collected. He was sincere and never let his emotions get the better of him. All these actions showed that he wasn't a villain, but someone who Taro could ally with.
However, his sudden declaration of war was opposite to what he had shown from his previous personality.
Ketsu was about to mock more, but he noticed a presence behind him. The two brothers turned around and saw Taro, who had an amused smile.
Kamishiro raised an eyebrow and lazily asked, "Aren't you his little brother?"
Taro nodded and looked at Ketsu, who was about to burst out of anger from hearing Taro was Kise's little brother.
Before Ketsu could let out slurs, Taro asked, "What did you mean earlier, about my brother?"
Ketsu scoffed, "So, he hasn't told you, huh? Of course he hasn't. That evil bastard would never." He looked at the confused Taro and smiled wryly, "Your so-called brother is the reason why the Land of Wind is always in a warring state period."
Taro's eyes widened and asked, "What? What do you mean?"
Before Ketsu could explain any further, Kamishiro said, "It's true." With intrigue in his lazy eyes, he continued, "Your grandfather, Shukaku the Peacemaker, brought peace in the Land of Wind with an iron fist. Without his permission, no one could wage war under his peace. Not even by the order of the Daimyo."
Hearing his grandfather's name for the first time, Taro's jaw dropped at the familiar name.
Kamishiro continued, "Once Shukaku died, the peace was broken… And the very man who broke that peace was none other than your brother, Kise."
