TL Note: Merry Christmas! Here is 5 chapters!

"Brother Bosacius! You can do it—hold on!"
Bonanus knelt beside Bosacius. Without realizing it, a thin sheen of cold sweat had formed on her forehead—she had no idea whether any of this would actually work.
Bosacius's injuries were far beyond what ordinary medicine could heal. What if the so-called advanced healing pill provided by the system turned out to be useless?
With that thought, Bonanus activated her adeptal arts. Her techniques possessed healing properties, effective for both external and internal injuries.
The reason Bonanus could use adeptal arts so fluently without any learning was simple: these techniques already existed in her memories. She was merely following what she remembered, and since this body had originally mastered them, controlling the power came easily.
Her healing adeptal art was beautiful to behold. Pale-blue energy, fluid-like in appearance, wrapped itself around Bosacius's entire body. If one looked closely, it even seemed as though warmth radiated from within that liquid light—mysterious and wondrous.
Perhaps feeling that the effects of the advanced healing pill combined with manual adeptal healing were still insufficient, Bonanus suddenly recalled another method and murmured to herself:
"Oh, right! If I have the Water-Moon Ring absorb the karmic debt from Big Brother's body, that should definitely help his recovery!"
Acting on the thought, she called out to the Water-Moon Ring around her ankle in her mind.
Responding to her call, the ring emitted a faint blue glow. The dark aura surrounding Bosacius began to be slowly drawn into the ring.
Thick black miasma seeped out from Bosacius's body, drifting little by little toward Bonanus and being absorbed into her.
Karmic Debt Absorption Progress: 363 / 50,000
"This will definitely work," Bonanus thought to herself. She used every healing method she could think of on her eldest brother.
The system had said she would soon fall into slumber. Before that happened, she had to handle everything on Big Brother's side as thoroughly as possible.
"So warm…" Bosacius's voice was faint, but noticeably steadier. His expression relaxed as he spoke, the pain clearly far less severe than before.
The headache was gradually fading, the pain throughout his body easing. He could even feel the karmic debt eroding his mind, slowly diminishing.
He knew—it was Bonanus helping him. She was not only healing his body, but also drawing out his karmic debt.
That was absolutely unacceptable. He would never allow Bonanus, whom he regarded as family, to bear such a burden for his sake.
The fact that Bonanus had survived and come here was already beyond his expectations. He could not let his sister shoulder even more karmic debt for him.
Yet no words of refusal would come. Perhaps due to the medicine's effects, overwhelming drowsiness washed over him. All he wanted now was to sleep.
His body felt limp; even moving a finger was difficult. Strength drained away completely—he could barely move his tongue.
Sensing Bosacius's breathing gradually stabilizing, Bonanus let out a long breath of relief.
That beginner's advanced healing pill from the system was actually quite effective. Even though the side effect was centuries of slumber, at least it saved Big Brother.
She could feel that Bosacius's injuries—both internal and external—were steadily improving. With her drawing out his karmic debt as well, she believed that when he awakened, he would return to his peak condition.
[The host is overthinking it. Karmic debt cannot be absorbed in a day or two.]
The system suddenly chimed in, startling Bonanus—but she promptly ignored the rookie system.
Just as Bonanus relaxed over Bosacius's revival, Boyang beside them could no longer remain calm.
Boyang could clearly see the yaksha markings on the female yaksha before him, and he could also see her extracting karmic debt from her "yaksha brother."
Good heavens—that was karmic debt! What was karmic debt? It was something even the Geo Archon could not resolve. Excessive karmic debt would cause one to lose reason and become a monster driven solely by slaughter.
And yet this female yaksha dared to absorb it for her companion—she was insane! Did the adepti even possess a secret art for absorbing karmic debt?
Though he had no idea how she was doing it, Boyang had no time to dwell on the matter. At most, it was simply an adeptal art he had never seen before.
"Miss Yaksha, absorbing this yaksha brother's karmic debt like this will only harm you."
Boyang finally spoke up. He could clearly see the brother's injuries recovering at an astonishing speed, and even the pale purple hue of his skin was regaining some color.
If, after all this effort to save Bosacius, this female yaksha were to go mad from karmic debt, everything would be lost.
Bonanus understood Boyang's concern. Absorbing another yaksha's karmic debt was a reckless act.
"You don't need to worry. This amount of karmic debt can't do anything to me."
She smiled reassuringly at Boyang. To most people, karmic debt was terrifying—but to her, it was nothing more than stacks of currency.
"I don't know how you came to be here, but what you're doing is far too reckless," Boyang exhaled deeply, though he did not try to stop her further.
Whether her words were true or not, he chose not to question her. In the darkness of the Chasm, having one more companion was a blessing.
"May I ask how I should address you, sir?" Bonanus changed the subject, smiling as she continued absorbing Bosacius's karmic debt.
Boyang sighed softly. Such an obvious change of topic—how could he not notice? Still, given the circumstances, it would have been awkward to press the matter.
"My name is Boyang. I am a ritualist of Liyue. My younger brother Rongzhao and I were dispatched by order of the Qixing, carrying the Tawei Gnosis Compass to the Chasm, to support the Millelith."
He went on to explain who he was and why they had come to this dreadful place.
"However, the beasts here were terrifying. Our forces suffered heavy casualties. If not for this unnamed yaksha's intervention, even my brother and I would have perished on the spot."
Boyang frowned deeply as he spoke. For mortals, demonic beasts were truly horrifying—the Millelith had suffered devastating losses.
Bonanus nodded. She more or less understood what Boyang had been through.
During the war against the Khaenri'ah monsters' invasion, Boyang and the Electro Yaksha Bosacius had worked together to seal the beasts beneath the underground palace of the Chasm, eventually dying there.
"You've truly been through a lot…"
"Haha, it's nothing. In times of chaos like these, this is all I can do."
Boyang scratched his head bashfully. Though he was already middle-aged, with a wife and daughter, facing such a cute female yaksha still made him a little shy.
Bonanus nodded lightly. Back when she played the game in her previous life, she had read the notes Boyang left behind in the Chasm.
He was a pitiful man…
With that thought, she glanced at the Water-Moon Ring's absorption progress.
Karmic Debt Absorption Progress: 20,061 / 50,000
The number surprised her. Was the ring really absorbing karmic debt that quickly? What a practical tool.
Still, that fifty-thousand absorption cap was uncomfortable to look at. Was there a way to increase it?
Quietly, Bonanus called out to the system in her mind.
[System, can I raise the fifty-thousand cap just a little?]
[Answering the host: At the current stage, increasing the cap requires fifty thousand karmic debt. Each upgrade increases the maximum by ten thousand.]
Bonanus: ...
She was already poor enough—did it really have to make things this difficult?
Upgrading the karmic debt cap was clearly impossible for her right now. She would think about something else.
[Then… can I send this Uncle Boyang up to the surface?]
If possible, Bonanus wanted to help some of the tragic side characters she remembered from the game. Boyang was one of them.
(Author's Note: This does not mean the female lead is unrealistically saintly. She simply has a fondness for certain NPCs she encountered in the game.)
