Maelina leaned against her horse nearby, arms folded, watching the whole thing with mild amusement.
"You're handling this very well," she said to Zarek.
He didn't respond.
Inside the shade, Eliora changed quickly, grateful for the privacy.
When she finished, she stepped toward the edge.
"I'm done."
The shade lowered instantly at Zarek's silent command.
His eyes moved to her at once, scanning her face first, then the rest of her body, making sure she was alright.
"Better?" he asked.
She nodded softly. "Yes."
His hands came around her waist. Then he murmured near her ear, "Tell me next time the moment you feel unwell."
She leaned back into him, tired but comforted.
"I will."
"You can't ride." He said
"I can," she said quickly. "It's not like I'm injured."
He shook his head. "You're bleeding."
"I know, but I can still sit on a horse, Zar. It's not.."
"We'll wait." He cut in.
She stilled. "Wait?"
"Yes, we'll wait. At least until it's over." He replied.
