Chapter 34: Meeting with Fernandez
Jay's POV
Okay... I survived the confusion of the Braseltons... That's already a win... Oh but for god's sake my day could still be ruined more... Keifer... Keifer Watson... He kissed my neck... KISSED MY NECK... WHAT DOES THIS ASSHOLE THINK OF HIMSELF THAT HE CAN DO THAT? I am still hung up on that...
But... What I have to face in 30 minuites... Now that will be torture... Kuya Angelo... My older cousin... He does NOT know that I became CEO of Mariano Enterprises and I am scared of his reaction... But Fer Corp needs the contract so I have to bear with it...
As I was thinking Alex came into my office with a wierd look... Nervousness and something I couldn't name... Guilt?
Alex: boss...
Jay: yes? -I asked suspiciously-
Alex: sooo... I have some news...
Jay: what happened?
Alex: soo... There are...
Jay: ARE?
Alex: yes... Are... That's the news... That I forgot to mention... Not only the CEO of Fer Corp is coming but the heir of the company is coming too...
Jay: I want names... Now...
Alex: got it...
He said as he typed something on the tablet he was holding.
Alex: CEO Michael Angelo Fernandez...
Jay: and?
Alex: and... Heir, Michael Aries Fernandez...
Jay: okay...-means I'm absolutely doomed-
Jay: you can go... Prepare the contract...
Alex: yes boss
He said as he went out... Yeah... I'm absolutely doomed... Dead... Bury me... Remember me...
But I have to get through this... I hope Keifer does not ruin this meeting too...
I still have around 15 minuites before the meeting with Kuya and Aries, so I went though some things on my laptop amd prepared myself mentally... Then Alex came in and ruined my peace...
Alex: boss
Jay: what now?
Alex: they came 5 minuites early...
Jay: lead them to the meeting room and give them the papers with the contract.
Alex: got it boss
And Alex went out. I grabbed my laptop, some papers reguarding Fer Corp and went to the beeting room. I stopped right in front of the room, took a deep breath and walked in on Aries and Kuya Angelo sitting silently, reading through the papers.
They both looked up as Alex was still waiting in the corner.
Aries: Jay?
Kuya Angelo looked so confused
Jay: goid morning...
Alex: It's 2 o'clock boss...
Jay: -sighs- then good afternoon...
Aries and Angelo: good afternoon?
Jay: okay... Should we start?
Angelo: I have a question....
Jay: yes Mr. Fernandez?
Aries: you did not...
Angelo: she did.... Jay... Or Ms. Mariano?
Jay: Jay....
Angelo: okay... Then can you call me how you always called me Jay?
Jay: okay Kuya
Aries: finally...
Jay: what did you say Mr. Fernandez?
Angelo: I didn't say anything...
Jay: the other one...
Aries: seriously? Don't call me that...
Jay: why?
Aries: cuz you are my sister... Duh...
Alex: boss?
Jay: what Alex?!
Alex: can you explain what is happening?
Jay: no... You know what? Get out of the room...
With that Alex left.
Aries: who is the guy?
Jay: Alex Williams... My assistant...
Aries: why did you hire an assistant?
Jay: cut I can't handle my schedule with so many meetings...
Aries: okay... Fair...
Aries said and with that we started the meeting... It went suprisingly well.. they payed attention, asked questions, we discussed the partnership, and they still didn't belive that I was the CEO.... but after like 10 minuites of explaining they both understood... We looked over strategies, numbers, possible problems and conflicts
Angelo: so... Contract finalised?
Jay: yep... We only have to sign the papers
Aries: Am I signing too?
Jay: yes
I said ad everyone signed every copy they had to
Jay: Kuya, Aries?
Aries: yes?
Jay: what do you two think about lunch?
Angelo: what do you mean?
Jay: we should go out for lunch and catch up... There is a nice place around 5 minuites away. I'm paying...
Aries: you sure about that?
Angelo: Jay... It's appropriate for men to pay not for women...
Jay: so many people said that a woman can't be a CEO... and still here we are...
Angelo: fine...
