Chapter 120 - [120] Blood Bargains and Hidden Blades

Drum Island,

Ross's temporary residence.

"Saint Marius? I don't recall ever having any dealings with you."

Ross sat next to the Den Den Mushi, his eyes filled with indifference.

He harbored no goodwill toward these fellow clansmen, especially since they were also members of the Knights of God.

Saint Shamrock was considered normal among this group, while the rest could all be described as abnormal in every sense of the word.

"Saint Ross, please don't say that. The Marcus family should thank you for your reminder. If it weren't for you, how could we have caught those disgusting rats of the Revolutionary Army so quickly?"

Marius stood beside the execution platform, which reeked of blood, his once elegant and aristocratic expression completely gone.

At this moment, his face and body were splattered with blood, making him look particularly ferocious and terrifying, like a demon from hell.

Sizzle!

Marius suddenly swung his long sword, and the head of a prisoner on the execution rack was instantly severed by the sharp blade. Hot blood splattered like a fountain, soaking his body once again.

However, he felt no disgust whatsoever. On the contrary, the blood made him exude an almost manic excitement, as if the blood was his best stimulant, with every drop stimulating his twisted nerves.

"Ah, the blood of the lowly, how wonderful."

Marius licked the blood off his face, his whole body trembling involuntarily.

"Saint Marius, get to the point."

Ross's voice remained unchanged, completely unaffected by the grotesque sounds coming from Marius.

Having seen so many perverts among his own kind, Ross always felt out of place. Compared to these perverts, he considered himself a truly good person.

"I caught a few small fry here. He said he was a member of the Jaygarcia family who was hiding in the Revolutionary Army."

Marius's eyes gleamed with excitement. If it were just about the Revolutionary Army, he wouldn't have contacted Ross at all.

But when the Jaygarcia family was involved, the situation changed.

Such a small matter was definitely not something the Five Elders could easily discuss directly. He also wanted to see just how capable this junior, praised by his father, really was.

"Do I need to explain to you?" Ross said calmly.

He had selected some ordinary people to join the Revolutionary Army in order to monitor Dragon's movements in real time.

However, these people were not of high status and could only know the general direction.

The reason Marius had been able to find the Revolutionary Army so quickly was because Zane had been guiding them through intelligence.

"Hahaha, you don't need to explain the undercover work in the Revolutionary Army to me. But shouldn't you explain the Chief Kurogar matter, Saint Ross?"

A crimson glint flashed in Marius's eyes as he slashed the headless corpse across the blade, leaving a palm-sized piece of flesh skewered on it.

He stuck out his tongue and licked a mouthful of flesh, his face filled with enjoyment.

The owner of the headless corpse was Chief Kurogar, whom he had mentioned, and the person who had previously passed on information about the Revolutionary Army to him.

"You've already killed someone, what explanation do I need to give you? Just make one yourself."

Ross scoffed, not wanting to pay any attention to the madman opposite him.

He had never personally contacted the madmen of the Knights of God, but he had connections in the higher-ups and knew a great deal about the members of the Knights of God.

Even among that group of lunatics, Marius was one of the craziest.

However, Marius was a madman with a brain. From the details, it could be seen that he had led the other party to find the Revolutionary Army and even dragged Chief Kurogar out, which was not surprising.

Chief Kurogar wasn't exactly a member of the Jaygarcia family; strictly speaking, he was just an ordinary employee of the World Government. And judging from his appearance, he had probably confessed everything before he died, so Ross wouldn't feel any pity for him.

"Gladly!"

Marius laughed heartily, bit off a piece of fresh flesh still dripping with blood from the knife, and swallowed it.

"Then I'll be frank. Don't even think about having the Marcus family clear the way for you. I'll help you wipe out the Revolutionary Army, and you give me the spoils you won from Figarland. How about that? Fair enough?"

"That's fair, but I'm afraid you won't be able to take down the Revolutionary Army." Ross chuckled. "The Revolutionary Army leader, Dragon, is Garp's son, and Kuzan, who has the strength of a Marine Admiral, is also in contact with Dragon. Don't end up getting yourself killed in the process."

If it were Saint Mars, Ross would believe he could wipe out Dragon and the Revolutionary Army.

But someone like Marius could only cause a little trouble for Dragon at most.

It might even be a form of protection for Dragon.

After all, he wouldn't allow anyone else to devour the prey that this madman, Marius, had his eye on.

"Haha, you don't need to worry about that. Just prepare the fruit, and I'll trade you Dragon's head for it." Marius laughed wildly again.

His gaze suddenly turned to the distance, where several CP members carried over a cage containing a blonde woman with long, wavy hair wearing a top hat. She looked disheveled, covered in wounds.

"Saint Ross, I've heard you like women from the lower realms. I've captured a captain of the Revolutionary Army here, consider it a gift from me."

Marius didn't care about the captured Revolutionary Army captain himself. He was a smart man, and this phone call served to tell Ross that if the Revolutionary Army wanted to cause trouble, they would have to pay a price—and to stop thinking about playing any tricks behind the scenes.

"I'm waiting for your gift. I'll send someone to contact you and relay the Revolutionary Army's whereabouts, but there's one thing I need to warn you: if you kill any of my men again, I'll kill ten of yours."

Ross didn't care about a Revolutionary Army captain. According to the current timeline, Ginny had probably only just joined the Revolutionary Army and couldn't possibly be a captain.

Except for Dragon and Ivankov, none of the current revolutionary soldiers would live past 20 years.

"Very well, as expected of the next leader of Jaygarcia, the one who was said to be destined to succeed the Five Elders as long as he remained immortal. I didn't go this time because the Celestial Dragon Hunt Commander wanted to promote Saint Shamrock. Next time at the Celestial Dragon Hunt, I'll play with you." Marius said with a sneer.

"Tell me all this after you survive Dragon."

After Ross finished speaking, he hung up the phone immediately.

According to the information he had obtained, Marius was only an A+ level, and his potential had basically been exhausted. He would decline from his peak in a few years.

He didn't even consider the waste that had less potential than Saint Shamrock, and it was highly likely that he wouldn't even be able to get past Dragon.

In Ross's estimation, Dragon was at least S- or even close to S in strength, and was definitely no weaker than Sakazuki.

However, Marius's identity was quite good; he was Saint Mars's biological son. If he were to accidentally die at the hands of Dragon, the Marcus family might spare no expense to wipe out the Revolutionary Army.

The reason why the World Government had allowed the Revolutionary Army to run rampant for so long was because the World Government was too arrogant and didn't think that Dragon had any chance of overthrowing it.

Even if Dragon overthrew several member states in the future, the Five Elders would not pay much attention unless a chosen one like the Nika Fruit appeared.

No, to be more precise, the Five Elders didn't even value the Nika Devil Fruit; it was the one on the throne who did.

In order to get Saint Mars to take action, Ross planned to eliminate Marius.

Continuing to induce Marius to kill more revolutionaries was to force Dragon to take action himself.

If Dragon still didn't dare to make a move, then Ross wouldn't mind doing him a small favor.
