Chapter 96 - [96] Vegapunk's Brutal End – Brains for the Taking

In front of Vegapunk, Ross dialed another Den Den Mushi.

"Who?"

A gruff male voice came from the other end of the Den Den Mushi.

"Vinsmoke Judge, right?"

Ross reached out and grabbed Stussy's hair, shoving her head into the sand. He didn't like people being disobedient while he was busy.

"That's right, who are you?"

Judge asked the same question in a deep voice, not many people knew his contact information.

"Jaygarcia Saint Ross, you should have heard of this name."

"What do you need me for?"

Upon hearing the name of this Celestial Dragon, a name so well-known that it could even make a baby cry, Judge became noticeably more respectful.

"Vegapunk is in my hands, how about we make a deal?"

"You're going to hand Vegapunk over to me?"

Judge's breathing became much more rapid. He was also a member of MADS back then and knew Vegapunk's abilities better than anyone else.

If he could control Vegapunk, it would be no exaggeration to say that his long-cherished plan could be realized immediately.

"Vegapunk betrayed the World Government, and I can give you a third of his brain. As for how to read the information within, that's your problem to solve," Ross said with a smile.

"I want his entire brain."

What a joke! Who knows if that third of it contains what he wants?

"You can't afford that price," Ross said calmly.

"The Vinsmoke family is willing to serve you!" Judge said without hesitation.

In essence, he had no conflict with the Celestial Dragons.

Judge's greatest dream was simply to restore the Vinsmoke family's dominion over the North Blue, not to make them the kings of the world.

Therefore, his idea has always been to demonstrate strength, conquer the North Blue with strength, and make the World Government wary and dare not do anything to Vinsmoke.

There's nothing wrong with being able to cooperate with the Celestial Dragons now.

What's the point of loyalty? Since the Celestial Dragons want him to do things, he can't refuse anyway, so he might as well be smarter and take the initiative.

"That's a good suggestion."

Ross spoke with a smile, showing no regard for the fact that Vegapunk was still alive.

If Vegapunk could manage something more right under his nose, he would actually be looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, Vegapunk didn't say a word after his deal with Vinsmoke was over.

"Your actions will ultimately lead the world to its demise."

Vegapunk only spoke after Ross hung up the Den Den Mushi.

"The Doctor is planning to spread his technology and throw the world into chaos, so what I'm doing is nothing, right?" Ross almost burst out laughing.

Compared to this group of people who are always trying to throw the world into chaos, he felt that he was at least somewhat human.

"Only with the development of science and technology can everyone's life be better, and the sacrifices made in the process will be worthwhile."

Vegapunk didn't think he could communicate with Ross about these things, so he simply closed his eyes and let Ross do whatever he wanted to him.

The reason Ross contacted Judge in front of him was simply to see what value he could extract from him.

He may publicize those technologies, but that doesn't mean he will give them to world governments.

If those technologies fall into the hands of world governments, it will only make the world worse.

Ross wasn't good at persuasion; otherwise, he wouldn't have suggested that Saint Saturn deal with Vegapunk.

With so many people in this world, it's better to wait for more like-minded people than to fight against some stubborn individuals.

Ha!!!

The Poseidon trident was raised, and its sharp blade swept across, easily slicing open Vegapunk's neck, his life force rapidly fading away.

[System]: S-rank kill achieved!

[System]: Strength +5 million

[System]: Special Reward: Brain-Brain Fruit (To be claimed)

Upon hearing the system's reward notification, a hint of surprise flashed in Ross's eyes.

He hadn't expected that despite Vegapunk's advanced technology, he would end up with the Brain-Brain Fruit.

This only shows that, according to the system's assessment, Vegapunk's most valuable possession at present is the Brain-Brain Fruit.

It has to be said that this is indeed a remarkably overpowered fruit, capable of achieving unlimited storage capacity, like a combination of a super hard drive and a super processor.

As long as an individual possesses a certain level of talent, they can easily lead the world in the field of technology.

"Kill me."

Stussy lay on the ground, staring blankly at the fallen Vegapunk.

She was a clone created by Vegapunk, and her only purpose from the beginning was to obey Vegapunk's orders.

Now that Vegapunk is dead, and she has no way to avenge him, she doesn't know what to do.

Moreover, as a member of CP0, she knew all too well what kind of people the Celestial Dragons were.

Saint Ross is not a paragon among the Celestial Dragons; he is more like a villain, even more wicked than the others.

"As expected, whether it's clones, cyborgs, or suicide soldiers, these deformed things are less meaningful than robots."

"Farewell, Clone One, Stussy!"

Ross pulled out his usual platinum pistol from his waist and pressed it against Stussy's head.

"Thanks!"

Stussy had no fear of death. From birth, she had decided that she was just a tool, and now that her master was dead, there was no need for her to continue existing.

"Bang!!!"

Gunshots rang out, and blood splattered.

Stussy collapsed to the ground, her mature and beautiful face smeared with blood, a hint of tranquility amidst the bloodshed.

Stussy, dead!

Ross picked up Vegapunk's corpse and walked step by step across the waves toward the ship.

The waves surged behind him, sweeping Stussy's body into the sea. The bloodstains on the beach were washed away, leaving not a trace.

"Preserve it against corrosion."

Once aboard the ship, Ross casually tossed Vegapunk's body aside, leaving Stella to carry out the rest of the work.

If we consider the roles within a pirate crew, he is the captain, Gion and Zephyr are swordsmen and martial arts experts, respectively, essentially the second and third in command on the ship, while Stella is his ship's doctor.

With her Devil Fruit powers alone, Stella surpasses 99% of ordinary doctors, not to mention that she is quite talented in the medical field.

"Yes, Master."

Stella quickly directed the ship's assistants to begin moving Vegapunk's body.

On the other side, Gion walked over with a mocking expression:

"I thought you would stay on the island for a while."

"With so many people worth playing with, why bother finding a clone?"

Ross shrugged. Although he could go after any pretty doll with a good figure, he didn't like emotionless dolls.

Stussy is that kind of doll; she has absolutely no interest in that area, and playing with her is completely uninteresting.

"No, based on what I know about you, you should have a better goal."

Having spent so much time with Ross, Gion's original personality has completely softened, and she even dares to tease Ross now.

"There is indeed a more tempting goal, but that is merely a drink to quench one's thirst, and it cannot compare to you, the eternal main course."

Ross left with a deep and meaningful look, then turned around gracefully and strode toward the cabin.

A charming and alluring smile appeared on Gion's lips. Thanks to Ross's meticulous "nurturing," her appearance, figure, and temperament became increasingly outstanding, captivating all who saw her.

She moved lightly, following closely behind Ross, and together they entered the ship's cabin.
