So! First things first, I am now at Helgen. I don't know when the start of canon happened, but I know it is the year 201 of the 4th Era. King Torygg is already dead, murdered by Ulfric Stormcloak.
That means Alduin will soon awaken and arrive here. I need to get out of here before the World Eater arrives at Helgen.
I get off my bed and leave my room. However, as I leave the room, I stop as I hear a conversation between father and son. They are Torolf and Haming. They are the father and son that the Dragonborn can hear when they reach Helgen.
"Pa!"
"Hmmm? What is it?"
"Something is happening! There is a thief or something. He is riding in a wagon with some imperial guards. Can we… just, you know… take a look? Please? Look at the soldiers."
"Really? Sure. We can look at them. However, don't get too far away from me. I don't want you to bother them."
I watch as the father and son duo leave the inn, leaving me with the innkeeper alone in this building. I look at her and say.
"What is happening, Matlara? What are they talking about? Thief? Imperial Soldiers? What are they doing here?"
Matlara, the Innkeeper and owner of the Resting Pilgrim of Helgen, wife of Torolf, and mother of Haming. I frown a little as I remember something. It is the name of an inn that should not exist. It is an inn that only exists in the Alternate Perspective mod.
If this mod exists, what else exists in this world? Does Alduin take the form of Thomas the Tank Engine? Does that mean the physics of this world is the same as the one in the game? Urgh. I need to investigate it.
"I don't know, Sigurd. I hear from one of the guards that there will be important events happening here at Helgen. I don't know what kind of event they are talking about and what a thief does with anything."
"Right. Do you want to join them? Or can I have some food?"
"Here. I already prepared breakfast for you, Sigurd. You are the only one left here, after all. You can eat here or join us."
"I think I will join you."
I take the tray with a bowl of Horker Stew, a piece of bread, and hot spiced wine. It is rather simple, but it looks very filling and delicious. That is most of the food in Skyrim. It is warm, filling, and simple.
I take the tray and follow her outside. I sit on the chair and put the tray on the table just in time to see a familiar convoy passing by. I can see Ulfric Stormcloak sitting at the back of the carriage with a Khajiit on the other side of the carriage.
Is the Dragonborn a Khajiit? Now that I think about it, the mod makes the Dragonborn into a Khajiit, right?
I watch the cannon happening live, and I wince a little when I hear Alduin's roar in the distance. I devour the food in front of me and prepare to run away. Should I help Torolf and Matlara? I will try. Maybe I will get good tickets out of it.
I continue to watch and immediately move when I see Alduin start to fly down to the tower. I drag the two of them away and hide inside the inn just in time as I hear Alduin roar. The sound of thunder can be heard, and I can hear panicked shouts from the outside.
"What in the name of oblivion is that?!"
"Dragon."
Torolf looks at me in shock and fear.
"D-Dragon?! They should be extinct!"
"It looks like that is not the case. We need to get out of here. Come on! We need to use the back door!"
Instead of saying more words, I drag them through the inn and grab Haming along the way. We go through the back door and go north.
"Come on! Watch for those flaming rocks!"
I roar as I navigate through the chaos. All the soldiers were firing their arrows at the massive dragon flying above us to no avail. The game does not do Alduin justice. That thing is massive. It is at least 100 meters long and 10 meters tall. Don't get me started with the wingspan. I think it is at least double the length of its body.
"Watch out!"
I shout and use all my strength to pick the small girl away from the falling rocks. I grunt a little as I can feel hot stones pierce my body, but I hold myself. I return the small girl to her parents, and we continue north.
We reach the gate, and I immediately roar.
"Hide in the forest! The trees will hide us from the dragon!"
I stay behind while the others run for the forest just outside Helgen and help the others escape. Surprisingly, the last person to use this gate is General Talius, who follows the others to hide in the forest.
After a few more minutes of helping, I join the others, and they guide me to a small cave not too far away from Helgen. We wait as we hear Alduin roaring and massive rocks hitting the ground. I am alongside the Imperial Guards, making sure Alduin does not notice us.
"Down!"
I quickly inform the others, and we assume a prone position. I watch as Alduin flies north and ignores all of us. After a few minutes, the sound of a meteor falling to the ground stops, and we wait for a few minutes before I nod.
"We are safe, for now."
After I said that, the people released a sigh of relief. Some of them start to bawl, and some even pass out from the shock they are holding. Even the soldiers were affected at the sight of Alduin. I look down and see my hand shaking, my skin pale as a corpse.
The only reason I am not panicking is my skill as a Ninja. It makes me stay calm and collected in stressful situations.
However, as the danger passes, I can feel my body start to feel the stress that I've been holding up. My hands are shaking, and my body starts to feel weak. The only reason I can still stand is the floating hologram in front of me.
