Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 Ilmi X Battle

Illumi stared at the other person.

He had come here tonight on his father's orders.

Originally, he could have chosen to come during the day, meeting Kevin in a peaceful manner.

This was probably what the elders in the family wanted to see.

However, after seeing the scene of Kevin and Killua's "intimate" exchange, an inexplicable irritation welled up in his heart.

Thus, he ultimately chose to infiltrate at night, a seemingly ill-intentioned way of meeting.

He had observed Kevin before; although this was done incidentally while keeping an eye on Killua, he was very confident in his observational skills.

In his opinion, while Kevin's physical fitness was not weak, there was still a considerable gap compared to the bodies trained by the Zoldyck Family from a young age.

If Kevin had not mastered Nen Ability, he probably couldn't even beat Killua.

Since Kevin had always been active below the two-hundredth floor, his Nen usually only maintained the most basic [En] state.

Although he mimicked an ordinary person, with careful observation, one could still notice that the Nen had not dissipated.

Unless one engaged in face-to-face combat with Kevin, like Kite once did, it would be easy to be fooled by his basic Nen maintenance state.

Illumi truly hadn't expected it.

As soon as his [En] enveloped Kevin, the other party immediately became alert.

It wasn't uncommon for someone to detect [En] when it was probing their Nen, but the problem was that Kevin was in a deep sleep at the time.

Typically, only those who had undergone specialized alertness training could maintain such a keen reaction while sound asleep.

This was inconsistent with his previous observations.

And the subsequent battle was even more beyond his expectations.

The explosive and aggressive Nen Ability Kevin displayed was severely inconsistent with the impression he gave externally.

Just as Illumi was silently contemplating.

Kevin's Nen suddenly erupted again, and a bottle of potion even appeared in his hand, as if he was about to pour it into his mouth.

Seeing the Nen inexplicably erupting again, Illumi made a decisive move.

"I surrender," his voice was calm without a ripple, and he slowly raised both hands.

Kevin was slightly stunned, the potion went down, and his Nen burst forth, rushing towards Illumi at an even faster speed.

A large amount of Nen poured into his right fist, making the attack even more lethal.

"Only when you fall will I admit that's a surrender."

So fast.

Even faster than before.

Illumi, who had originally tried to dodge, instantly realized it was too late.

What kind of technique is this?

A sudden burst of extra Nen exceeding the apparent Nen, a Nen Ability?

Or deliberate concealment?

Helpless, he could only gather his Nen on his arms and forcibly endure the heavy punch.

Accompanied by a powerful impact sound, Illumi flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily against a supporting pillar of a shop.

After being sent flying a meter or two, Illumi did not stay in place but quickly climbed out of the rubble, then leaped fiercely onto a utility pole.

During the jump, he flung out several Nen needles.

These Nen needles successfully prevented Kevin's subsequent attacks; Kevin had no choice but to stand still and gather Nen to swat these attacks away.

This was no joke; once hit by these Nen needles, he could very likely be controlled, and the hard-won advantage would instantly vanish.

Illumi stood on the utility pole, his back to the moon, looking down at his left arm, which was already bent and swollen.

It was fractured, but he remained expressionless.

However, he did not intend to continue this fruitless battle.

That would be too much of a loss.

So, he directly said, "I am Killua's older brother."

At this, Kevin truly stopped, standing in place, maintaining a vigilant posture as he looked at the other party and the extremely malicious Nen needle in the other party's hand.

The techniques and feeling the other party displayed in the previous battle indeed bore some resemblance to Killua.

It was just that their appearances didn't seem to have any similarities, not even their hair color.

"Since you are Killua's elder brother, then why..."

Illumi replied with his emotionless voice, "To warn you not to teach Killua Nen Ability; this is a warning from the Zoldyck Family."

After speaking, he put away the extremely malicious Nen needle in his hand.

Hearing this, Kevin somewhat believed him.

"Since it's a request from Killua's family, I naturally won't offend without reason," Kevin agreed; in fact, he never had the intention of teaching Killua Nen Ability.

Even if Killua seemed to have the intention of learning by indirect means.

But he was too young, only 6 years old.

Since the misunderstanding had been resolved, there was naturally no need to continue the battle; Kevin was not someone who was keen on fighting.

Maintaining vigilance, he increased the distance even further.

However, he still said, "I hope you change your habit of loitering near other people's windows at night in the future. I have a lot of free time during the day, and normal visits are welcome."

Kevin's words were a polite warning to the other party, and then he pulled out a bottle of potion from his waist pouch and threw it over.

With a simple judgment, Illumi used two Nen needles to clamp the potion, staring at Kevin with calm eyes.

"Consider it compensation for your medical expenses."

Illumi's hand, holding the potion, tightened slightly; he rarely experienced emotional fluctuations towards anyone other than his targets.

And this time, it was clearly negative.

However, the emotional fluctuation did not affect his actions; he pulled out a card and flicked it over.

Kevin casually picked up a nearby stone to block it, looking at the number on the card stuck in the stone.

Before he could ask, Illumi said, "If you have an assassination order, call this number."

In Illumi's view, hobbies were hobbies, and work was work.

The other party seemed like a potential client.

"Tsk, what kind of situation is this?" Kevin couldn't help but mutter. He had just finished a fight, and the other party was asking him to patronize his business.

What normal person would need assassination services?

After leaving this message, Illumi left, quickly disappearing without a trace.

What a pity, he didn't drink the potion on the spot.

He still wanted to see what the side effects were.

Kevin did not throw away the business card but quietly put it away; after all, no one could say if he would need it in the future.

This battle ended very quickly.

When the surrounding residents were awakened by the sounds of destruction from the battle and rushed over, they only saw a large crater on the ground and a dent in the load-bearing pillar of the nearby shop.

...

The next day.

In a rented dojo.

Killua was frantically attacking Kevin in front of him, while Kevin merely defended, occasionally dodging.

Whenever Killua revealed too large a weakness, Kevin would strike a palm, sending Killua flying.

"Try a different attack method; I've already learned this one," Kevin said.

Killua, who was sent flying, lay on the ground, panting heavily, seemingly with no intention of continuing the attack.

"It seems you're tired, so take a break."

As soon as Kevin sat down, Killua quickly moved closer and sat beside him.

Killua's eyes widened, looking at Kevin pitifully.

"What do you want to do?"

"Hehe, it's that aura you used before, what was that?" Killua asked with a giggle.

As expected, it came, Kevin was a little helpless.

"Didn't you say your brother knows it too? Why don't you ask him?"

"Ha!? That kind of guy, I don't want to ask him."

Killua's face openly showed disgust, and he waved his hand.

"That kind of guy"? It seemed Killua and his elder brother didn't have a good relationship.

However, Kevin thought that Illumi seemed to care quite a bit about Killua.

"Since someone in your family knows it, but you're unwilling to ask him, then I naturally can't tell you either."

"Tsk, how boring."

Killua seemed to have been mentally prepared; after hearing Kevin's answer, he said with an unhappy expression. But he didn't continue to pester and question.

"I'm tired, let's stop here for today." After saying that, Killua walked away huffily.

Kevin didn't care about this at all, smiling as he watched Killua leave.

He knew that Killua would definitely come again tomorrow.

In fact, Killua never expected to get the answer directly from Kevin from the beginning; he hoped to observe and secretly learn during combat, just like Kevin learned his techniques before.
