Chapter 233 - A Morning Threat and An Icy Ultimatum

Time passed unnoticed. Two days later, the morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the thick curtains inside the room. On a giant bed large enough to accommodate ten people, the five teenagers slowly began to wake up from their deep sleep.

The three fiancés of Kazien and Felix stretched their muscles. The positions were quite messy but filled with warmth.

"After sleeping with us on this bed for two nights, did you feel comfortable sleeping on top of his body like that?" Alvin asked while rubbing his eyes, looking at Felix's face, who had just woken up with his head still resting comfortably on Kazien's chest.

"Very comfortable!" Felix admitted bluntly without any hint of awkwardness, while tidying his messy blue hair. "I felt so peaceful that I could sleep soundly. No wonder the three of you are always so content sleeping while hugging or even on top of Kazien's body every night."

Hearing that overly honest praise, Arken, who was sitting on the other side of the bed, looked at Felix with a slightly furrowed brow.

"Do you really not have any hidden desire to become one of his fiancés too after experiencing this comfort?" Arken asked suddenly, his suspicious nature still lingering slightly even though Felix had sworn in the bathroom two days ago.

"No!" Felix answered firmly, immediately refuting the assumption. "I told you, didn't I? I was just curious about how it felt to sleep with the person I already consider my own brother. No other intention."

"That's the natural charm of our future husband that no one can resist!" Allen chimed in, responding to Felix's answer with a proud tone. The purple-haired youth then turned toward Felix with an unreadable gaze. "It's a good thing you truly have no intention of becoming his fiancé. Otherwise..."

Allen suddenly stopped talking, leaving the sentence hanging in the air. Instantly, the atmosphere in the bedroom, which had been warm and relaxed, turned very tense. An invisible cold chill seemed to creep up from the floor, making Felix shiver.

"O-Otherwise what?" Felix asked, his courage shrinking a bit as he faced the cut-off sentence and the intimidating aura faintly radiating from Allen's body. "Just finish what you were saying, Allen."

"Otherwise..." Allen continued, his eyes staring straight through Felix's with a lethal gaze. "You would have become an ice statue frozen by my magic since yesterday, regardless of whether you are a prince of the Garveon Kingdom or not!"

"W-What did you say?" Felix exclaimed, utterly shocked, his eyes wide in disbelief. He reflexively moved his body slightly away. He never expected that the threat in the bathroom back then wasn't just a bluff, and that Allen truly intended to kill him if he crossed the line. "Are you crazy?!"

"I'm not crazy!" Allen countered with a cold tone and a blank expression, as if freezing a prince was a perfectly normal thing for him. "I just really dislike hypocrites. People who say no with their mouths, but in their hearts, they want what is mine! You swore in the name of the Goddess, and I am holding you to that oath. If you break it, I will be the one to punish you before the Goddess does."

"I truly don't want your fiancé as my husband!" Felix argued frantically and quickly, denying all those terrible accusations to save himself from Allen's jealousy. "Listen, I do love him, I do care for him, I do feel very comfortable being near him, but it's all only to the extent of affection for a brother, truly nothing more than that!"

Hearing the string of defenses, Allen tilted his head slightly. His gaze was still sharp and intimidating.

"If you truly don't want to make him your husband, then why do you act as if he were your own fiancé?" Allen asked, his voice wasn't shouting, but in every word that came out of his mouth was a strong pressure demanding absolute honesty.

Attacked by that very trapping logic, Felix's mind went blank.

"I don't know either!" Felix answered almost without a pause, voicing his own confusion about his instincts when he was near Kazien. "Even though all this time I felt like I was just acting normal, like a childhood friend!"

Hearing the honest and innocent answer that came from Felix's mouth, Allen slowly turned his gaze away from the prince. Now, his pair of purple eyes, which usually radiated calmness, stared directly into Kazien's sapphire blue ones. The gaze was so sharp it felt as if it could peel away the very soul of the silvery-white-haired youth.

Instinctively, Kazien, who had been silently listening to their debate, suddenly felt an unnatural chill creeping up his spine. The hair on his neck stood on end, and cold sweat the size of corn kernels began to form on his temples, even though he had just woken up.

"It is enough that Prince Felix is the only person outside of your family who has ever sat face-to-face on your lap or slept comfortably on your body like this!" Allen asserted, his voice sounding very low and slow, delivering an absolute ultimatum that could not be contested. "I will never forgive you if this happens again when we begin our adventure to explore this world! If a stranger dares to cling to you, you must reject them!"

Under the pressure of the highly intimidating aura from his most rational fiancé, Kazien swallowed hard.

"Y-Yes, I understand. I will never do it again with anyone else." Kazien said quickly, immediately admitting fault and giving in for the sake of his own life, as well as the lives of those who might cross his path in the future.

"If you break it, do not blame me if the next day there is someone frozen into a block of ice by my magic, right before your very eyes!" Allen threatened again, leaving no room for Kazien to make excuses.

This time, Allen was truly serious with every syllable that left his lips. His gaze didn't blink as he watched his fiancé's face, proving that his level of possessiveness was indeed far more lethal than Arken's explosive anger.

"O-Okay... I promise, Allen." Kazien replied in a voice that trembled slightly, not daring to argue at all.

After receiving assurance from his future husband, Allen slowly took a long breath to calm his emotions. He then turned back, looking at Felix, who had been frozen in place.

"I do not mind if that person is you, Felix." Allen said, his tone now slightly softer though still firm. "Since you are our fiancé's first friend from childhood, and you have also sworn an oath in the name of the Goddess, I will allow you to be affectionate with him whenever you wish. But remember your limits! Do not let yourself truly fall in love with him!"

Hearing that he was given a special exception by the most dangerous gatekeeper, Felix exhaled a sigh of relief that he had unconsciously been holding.

"Thank you, Allen!" Felix replied with a sincere smile returning to his face. "Rest assured, I can guarantee my words. I truly have no desire to have Kazien as my husband."

Allen nodded slowly, his expression returning to its usual calm and dignified state. "I hold you to your words. I hope you do not disappoint the three of us."

Amidst the newly settled atmosphere, Alvin, who had been sitting on the edge of the bed, finally clapped his hands once to draw everyone's attention.

"Now, since this misunderstanding is over, let's go bathe together and get ready for the tournament!" Alvin invited suddenly, smiling sweetly to melt the remaining tension in the air. "Today is the first day of matches. We shouldn't be late and get disqualified by the committee just because we overslept."

Following the instruction from Kazien's first fiancé, they all agreed. The five teenagers rose from the king size bed and walked together toward the pavilion bathroom to clean themselves and prepare for the long day ahead.
