Chapter 142 - The Topic of Pregnancy (1)

The emotional atmosphere in the living room slowly shifted into a serious discussion about the future.

Elisa, who now felt a renewed sense of responsibility, recalled the strategy Kazien had previously discussed regarding the need to conceal her nephew's true identity, which was far too conspicuous.

"Kazien, Alvin..." called Elisa, breaking the romantic silence following the sudden engagement. "Hand over your adventurer license cards to me now."

Kazien and Alvin looked at each other for a moment, then reached into their dimensional storage.

"What for, Aunt?" asked Kazien while handing over his adventurer license card.

"Tomorrow, Allen and I will head to the adventurer guild in Lazavis to arrange for those duplicate license cards." explained Elisa firmly. "In accordance with your request, I will help you conceal your true identity."

Allen's eyes lit up upon hearing his name mentioned. "Wait, Mother. Does that mean I will also be registered to become an adventurer like the two of them?"

Elisa smiled at her son. "Correct! I will take care of everything tomorrow! You guys just need to sit back and receive the results."

Kazien handed over his card, but inside his head, the gears of strategy began to turn rapidly. He looked at Allen, who seemed enthusiastic.

If Allen officially becomes an adventurer, that means Alvin and I must be able to manage our time very carefully. Allen definitely has to do beginner missions from the guild so he can rank up.

Amidst Kazien's reverie, Duke Elgard turned his attention to the youngest member who had just joined his extended family.

"Arken?" called the Duke warmly.

"Yes, Father?" answered Arken softly.

"The night is late. Choose your own bedroom. There are still many empty rooms in this mansion that you can use."

Arken fidgeted with the hem of his shirt, looking hesitant. "Um... Father, Mother... may I ask something?"

Duke Elgard and Duchess Larina smiled. "Yes, just ask, Arken."

Arken took a deep breath. "May I... may I live in the capital with Brother Kazien? I also want to be an academy student alongside them."...

The innocent request made his two adoptive parents look at each other.

"I don't think that will be a problem. I will immediately take care of the registration documents, as well as the official adoption papers so your status as part of the Altavis family is legal in the eyes of the Garveon kingdom law," answered Duke Elgard wisely.

Hearing his adoptive father's answer, Arken's face brightened instantly. "Thank you, Father! Thank you, Mother!"

Duke Elgard and Duchess Larina responded to his gratitude with warm smiles.

However, Arken wasn't finished. He looked at his aunt, Elisa.

"Aunt Elisa, may I also be registered to become an adventurer? I also want to be an adventurer just like Brother Kazien and Brother Alvin!" requested Arken hopefully.

Elisa chuckled softly. "Of course, Arken! In that case, tomorrow morning you come with us to the guild."

Arken's happiness soared even higher. "Yes, Aunt Elisa! Thank you so much!"

Amidst that euphoria, suddenly Ritalia, who was still sitting on Kazien's lap, looked up with a pleading gaze.

"Brother Kazien, may I sleep with you tonight?" she whispered in a spoiled tone.

Kazien didn't answer with words. He closed his eyes, recalling the memory of the 'SuiReflection' magic he had just learned from Arken.

The air vibrated. Light refracted around Kazien.

In the blink of an eye, three new figures of Kazien appeared from thin air. Now, there were four Kaziens standing in the living room.

Everyone in the room jumped in surprise, seeing the number of Kaziens before them.

"By splitting myself like this, I can sleep with you without abandoning my other obligations," said Kazien while smiling at Ritalia.

Ritalia squealed with delight. "You will sleep in my room! I'm already sleepy! Let's go to the room now!"

Ritalia immediately grabbed Kazien's hand and dragged him away up the stairs.

After Ritalia disappeared, Duke Elgard asked in amazement. "Kazien, since when can you create clones that realistic?"

"Since Arken taught this magic to me this afternoon, Father. With me splitting myself like this, I can be fair to Alvin and Allen."

Duke Elgard nodded in understanding, but then his gaze turned serious. He glanced at Allen, then back to his son.

"Speaking of Alvin and Allen, in the future, Alvin can turn into a woman and get pregnant. My question is, can Allen also bear your offspring like Alvin?"

Hearing that question, Kazien choked instantly. His face turned to horror.

"I hope not!" exclaimed Kazien quickly, his tone full of rejection. "Alvin can turn into a woman and get pregnant purely because of the special power and blessing from Goddess Nirfelia. She granted it so that the High Elf race remaining in Alvin does not go extinct. Whereas humans? There are still so many humans in this world! So Goddess Nirfelia has no reason to change Allen's body too!"

Kazien let out a rough sigh. "And if in the future Allen somehow can get pregnant like Alvin... I will file a strong protest to Goddess Nirfelia!" exclaimed Kazien firmly, full of refusal.

Duke Elgard frowned. "But, isn't it better if your offspring who has a face like Allen exists in this world? At least, my sister Elisa's lineage wouldn't end at Allen only."

Kazien fell silent. He was trapped in a dilemma. However, he suddenly got an idea to turn the tables.

"Speaking of Aunt Elisa's lineage, why doesn't she just get married again? Isn't that way she can have new offspring who possess a beautiful face like hers and are cute like Allen?"

Elisa's face flushed deep red. "Kazien, I am already forty-three years old! It is quite impossible for me to marry again!"

Kazien was even more cornered. He was confused about what to say. On one side, he didn't want to see Alvin and Allen become women simultaneously. On the other side, he didn't want to disappoint his father.

"Wait a minute!" exclaimed Elisa suddenly, snapping back to their topic of conversation. "What does this mean about Goddess Nirfelia? Do you all have a relationship with the Goddess?"

"Only Kazien has met Goddess Nirfelia in person. We have never met Her directly at all," answered Duke Elgard.

They stared at Kazien with disbelief.

"Kazien, does... does your immortality also come from the Goddess?" asked Allen in amazement.

Kazien nodded firmly. "You are right! It is She who granted me this immortality."

However, behind his firm feeling about his relationship with the Goddess, a feeling of dilemma still swirled in Kazien's mind.

Honestly, I don't want to see Allen turn into a woman and give birth to a child too. I don't know what will happen if our child later calls Allen, who is a man in his daily life, 'Mother'.

Kazien sighed. I hope, someday I will find the answer.

Alvin and Allen could feel Kazien's wave of turmoil clearly. Both of them looked at each other, then smiled sympathetically seeing their future husband who looked frustrated with the topic of pregnancy.
