The first month was hard. The blindness made it hard to move. If he moved around too much, he would bump into things or fall. Being in the dark made him nervous. He questioned every choice he made. But he was a cultivator. He could not be afraid. He had to appear strong and in control. Otherwise, they would step on him. He needed confidence to act, especially in a situation like this. He couldn't let himself be crushed. This was especially true after he gained the power he had wanted for so long. Even though he couldn't see, he wanted to savor the feeling. He trained every day.
But Mais was clearly not good enough. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't succeed. A month after his birthday and three months after his birthday, he was still in the first stage. Kasuur was rapidly growing in power, even in the Origin Energy realm.
He wanted him to be strong. So Mais decided to teach him a technique at the peak of the Core Realm. This was one of the things that proved in the past that he was a genius at learning. He hadn't yet entered the Core Realm. Even before he entered the Beginner Realm, he had achieved this level of technique before Lagos, the genius who had unparalleled power in the Core Realm. His comprehension abilities were far beyond his cultivation.
Mais realized it right away. Kasuur may not have understood it as well as Lagos. But he didn't have to be that good. Lagos was a special talent. He had a grasp that was just as good as his older brothers' grasp, which was the first in the empire. The only person he couldn't compete with in terms of understanding the techniques was his 3rd Prince, who was from the same generation as him. Mais himself.
Since Kasuur became an origin master, he has done Tao meditations with Mais. Kasuur didn't think this training was necessary, but he had to follow Mais's instructions exactly because Mais was the master.
Immortal White sometimes participated. No matter how much Mais tried to teach the little cat, she showed no sign of improving. Maybe it was a disadvantage in her mutation. She was improving with her death as he was improving with the Tao, but Mais couldn't do that to her.
He couldn't make her face death.
So he asked her to learn the Tao with him. She was already in the Sage Realm. She had already entered the Tao. She could go further. She had to go further.
Kasuur learned to meditate deeply. During this time, and even in the future, Mais became a master for Kasuur. He taught him everything he knew. He helped him. He gave him what he needed.
Did it hurt his pride to be taught by a blind boy who was younger than him? No, because that blind boy made the difference between them clear. Kasuur lost the meaning of pride in his presence. Mais seemed to be unafraid, while Kasuur seemed to be scared of everything. Had he been waiting years for his friends to go into the forest so they could all go on adventures together? That's silly! It was fear!
You might think that a small child wouldn't show these emotions. You might think he would just follow his instincts and feel jealous. Kasuur was a peasant, but he understood the difference between himself and animals better than anyone. He didn't let negative emotions control him. He didn't grow up with these feelings. No matter how many times he killed someone, he didn't mean to do it. He wanted revenge, but he didn't want to do it.
Mais' wealth and wisdom did not make him jealous for the same reason.
Eventually, Kasuur will learn about jealousy and meet people. In that case, I am not sure if his present feelings will survive.
Mais treated him like a friend. No one knows if Kasuur will really forget these feelings one day.
Kasuur trained himself. Every evening, no matter what the weather was like, he swung his sword. He put a lot of effort into learning and practicing that technique. Could he make excuses? Many times. Mais didn't go out on rainy days. When he first realized this, it bothered him. For a while, he couldn't do his best, and he even wanted to give up. Mais was blind, and life was harder for him. But for a moment, he thought he was the one who always had to work harder.
It was stupid. He knew it.
On one of those days when he kept swinging that white sword in the rain, he saw Mais coming out. He went out into the rain. He looked pathetic with that scar on his face and his gray eyes. His jet black hair got wet with the rain. It stuck to his face. Kasuur stopped swinging his sword and watched him. Breathing heavily, he brushed the hair from his forehead. He scratched his belly. No matter what he did, this belly wouldn't go away. Still, he didn't care. He looked at Mais with tired eyes. The boy was wearing something he had never seen before.
A red robe. It was shiny. Even on this gray, rainy day, it made your eyes hurt. It makes everything else seem less important. It seemed full of nobility. When Mais put it on, it stood up straight for a moment and looked like a holy man. He was like a judge from heaven. It was just what was meant to be. But for a moment, this bright red robe, with all the historical symbols on it, got dirty. It got dirty. It's dirty. Mais had thrown himself into the mud. Raindrops fell on him.
"Hey, what are you doing?!"
Kasuur shouted. But Mais didn't react. He didn't even move. Kasuur had a thought about something he hadn't thought about in a long time. The reason. Mais didn't go out in the rain for a reason. He stayed in that warm hut for a reason. He felt ashamed when he thought about it.
Mais hadn't heard him when he had shouted in the rain just now, had he? Then he couldn't hear anything except the rain?
What happens when you put headphones on someone who is blind?
Mais was lost in the rain. There were drops on both sides. He didn't go outside. Because it was endless darkness outside.
After Mais threw himself into the mud, Kasuur realized that something was different about him. It took him a few minutes to understand what it was.
A few minutes later, Mais reached the third stage of the Origin Energy Realm.
He saw the Earth Tao's trace.
Months went by. Kasuur improved his fighting skills under Mais' direction. Kasuur knew that learning the technique was more important than speed. He wrestled with the grizzly bears every day. When Mais had a problem, he would use his staff to hit the animal's weak points and overpower it. Kasuur never understood how he did it. How could a blind boy see the weak points of these wild animals?
Mais devoted himself to alchemy in those days. He stopped growing except for daily Tao meditations. He realized that he couldn't move forward. It made the most sense to let him figure it out and focus on alchemy.
He was blind. That made things difficult for him, but some things you don't need to see to understand. This is especially true in alchemy. Seeing was a terrible way to know when things were going wrong. Most of these mistakes happened at the apprentice level. Mais had already passed that level.
He sniffed and began to follow his own alchemical path. Six months after his birthday, he discovered the Tao of Alchemy. But he couldn't comprehend it.
They were quite safe with a Sage Beast. The nine months went by very quickly. Mais was 9 and Kasuur was 11. It was snowing. But there wasn't much snow around the hut. That was because there was a boy with green hair and a white sword. He weighed 110 kilos.
Yes, that damn 11-year-old weighed exactly 110 kilos. He was swelling up in a scary way.
Every time he swung his sword, waves of origin energy spread out around him like waves of calm water and disappeared without harming any living creature. Kasuur had mastered the technique. He had total control. He could even fight people who were stronger than him. But it had taken a lot of effort.
Mais, on the other hand, had done almost nothing. Even so, he could still spank Kasuur every morning.
Kasuur was never patient or quiet. Mais had learned to be quiet and patient, which was different from him. For a blind man, waiting in the shadows was the only way to fight his opponent on equal terms.
And Kasuur would never be able to beat him if the two fought on equal terms.
It had been nine months. On that day, they heard a scream from inside the forest. This changed their daily lives.
