Author's POV
After the dinner they started the journey in the car, it was slow and peaceful ride which both them enjoyed with their favourite song, but in the middle of the way it started raining heavily.
Jay: " Keifer, should we stop somewhere for some time?, it is raining heavily"
Keifer: " No Jay it's fine, I will go slowly unless you are scared then we can stop?"
Jay: " No, as long as there is no problem for you in driving"
Keifer: " Okay then"
He continued driving and they were almost near their house, but the car stopped suddenly,
Jay: " What happened Keif?"
Keifer: " I don't know Jay, wait let me go check, you stay inside"
Jay: "But it is raining"
Keifer: " We are almost here, I can go home and change, just a min, stay inside"
Jay nodded
Keifer went out to check the problem in his car but couldn't make it work so he went near Jay's window and said, " Jay, the car is not starting, I will go home and get the tools and umbrella for you" and went to his house
Keifer reached his house only to realise it was locked, he immediately called his dad
D: "What's up Keif?"
K: " Dad, Where are you guys?"
D: " We came to our farmhouse, why?"
K: " Because I am outside our house and Jay is also with me, and it is raining and my car stopped working nearby"
D: " Is everything alright?"
K: " Yeah , Jay is in the car, we just came to surprise you both"
D : "Sorry Keif, we didn't know"
K: " Its okay Dad"
D: " Keifer do you have the keys?, also there is umbrella in the outside stand if you need"
K: "Yeah, I have the extra keys in my car, Thank god, okay bye I will call you tomorrow "
Keifer took the umbrella and left where their car has been parked, he went to the car to realise that Jay wasn't inside, panicked filled in his chest and he was searching for her when someone tapped from his behind.
He turned around only to realise it was Jay, he instantly hugged as if his life had returned.
Keifer: " Jay, why did you get out of the car, I told you stay inside" he asked in a worried tone while tightening the hug
Jay: " I know, I am sorry Keif" she slowly pulled away but while still looking into his eyes.
Keifer: " You are okay right?"
Jay: " Yes"
Keifer : " Okay, come let's go, we have to walk from here but it's near only, we can get the car tomorrow"saying that held her hand and turned to leave, but Jay stopped him by holding his hands, he turned and looked at her and she started speaking
Jay: "Keifer , will you dance with me?"
He gave a confused look and said, " Jay, it's raining, you will get sick"
Jay: " Keifer, what I am going to say might sound stupid but is it not, not atleast to me, When I was little, I had this dream about dancing in the rain with my Prince Charming, but eventually when I grow the idea left, no just that idea the idea of love itself left my heart just by my parents, I never thought I will find someone who will love me like you do, now I have this stupid wish that I want to fulfill and make thousand of more stupid wishes and fulfill each one of them with you" she finished looking into his eyes
Keifer looked into her eyes and held his hand out and asked, " Jasper Jean will you dance with me in the rain"
He couldn't see because of the rain but Jay was having happy tears in her eyes, because she finally found someone who is willing fulfill all her wishes, without calling them stupid or silly.
She put her hands on his, and his other arm went to her waist, while hers rested on his shoulders. He slowly swayed them both, in the rain, even though there wasn't any music, it didn't matter because they were dancing to the rhythm of love.
And somewhere in between the dance, Jay realised one thing, she has found someone who not only keeps her safe but also bring out her inner child, which she didn't knew existed.
He slowly Twirled her around, she returned back in his arms and rested her face in his chest, he pressed a long kiss on her head, while staying in each others arms.
