She's returned. Wina Harley waits just beyond our pack's territorial line, completely alone. I can't rationalize this sensation, but her presence calls to me with startling clarity. It's similar to how I sense Warner's approach, that familiar pull that tells me his distance and intentions. Unlike Warner's usual stealth, she makes no attempt to hide. Her energy reaches out like an invitation, devoid of any threatening intent. The persistent unease I feel whenever Alpha Danvers crosses my mind warns me against repeating past mistakes.
The men are dealing with the intruder they captured earlier, while the betas engage in heated arguments about their security failure. If protecting this territory truly matters to them, why create such obvious vulnerabilities three times daily? The logic escapes me completely.
Their incompetence continues to astound me because Wina has arrived and likely relaxes in the forest without concern for their patrol schedules.
