Arlene's POV
I fumble with the parking meter while Warner stands just behind me, clearly fighting back laughter. When I finish feeding it quarters, he extends his hand toward mine. The twins had stashed two quarters in the coin holder I keep in the glove compartment for their arcade trips near the house. I need to replenish the supply since they've already burned through them after just two visits.
"Since I have you captive here, I was hoping you could help me with the band's color preferences. I know black is the staple, but I want to add something unique for each member."
"Sure, I can do that," he agrees readily. "What exactly are we talking about?"
"Just accent colors so I know how to make their outfits pop."
"Can I ask what you're designing exactly?"
"Haven't you talked to Celeste lately?" I ask, nodding toward a charming bakery ahead. He pulls the glass door open, gesturing for me to enter first.
"My manager Celeste?"
"That's the one," I laugh.
