When the palace guards woke up, they found themselves at the palace gates without knowing when they had gotten there.
So strange, they seemed to have seen a red shadow flicker past the gates earlier, then lost consciousness, like their souls were whisked away, their bodies completely out of control!
Heavens, what a powerful illusion technique!
Oh no, could there have been an assassin?
Could something have happened to Your Majesty?!
The beastman guards hurried to return, but a seasoned beastman stopped them, telling them cryptically to mind their own business—it was that Fox Emperor visiting Your Majesty.
Who in the palace isn't aware of that noble and aloof Fox Emperor and their relationship with Your Majesty?
Though the two are not formally married, everyone under heaven knows well, it's said that the Fox Emperor has kept no harem and not a single female lover beside them, all to remain true and pure for Your Majesty.
