Karyle Asher his fastidious boss, an alpha. 27 years old director responsible for a whole department in the pharmaceutical company and also a cousin to David Asher, Jace's friend and senior from university who hooked him up with this job. Anyway the man is diligent some might say workaholic and very neat keeps his private life private does business right. Not cocky , arrogant or a scumbag like some other rich kids. He's the type who was a top student in his school years, a cool incredibly handsome smart kid who lots of people probably simped for. Him included. He would have simped for that man if he studied with him. The man in all his success and might already has an omega he's dating and will probably marry. It was one of those blind dates set up by the families and he just went along with it and the relationship is not bad. A bit formal for his taste but oh well maybe that'd be him one day so he really couldn't comment about it. It was normal especially after the scandal where one of the daughters of a certain family ended up marrying her 'love' despite disapproval by her family only for the man to abuse, cheat on her, be caught in a hideous scandal and to make it worse he was a leach, dependent on her. The man could have been a househusband and no-one would have bat and eye. Anyway the divorce was ugly . The type of ugly where the man was left with only a hundred dollars as an insult and a charges from his scandal. It taught people to be even more careful of who they marry. But I digress.
Anyway Karyle fired employees as if changing clothes mostly because they tried to climb to his bed, did something stupid or used the back door to get the job and had no skill and so many other reasons and this is why he feared losing his job. He was fixed by David after the whole scandal and he didn't exactly do a degree in secretary work if there was any experience, it was when served as a secretary in councils at school and some projects so he was always on his best behaviour while around Karyle. Now he was drunk, been dressed appropriately and messy in front of him but to be fair he was off work so he can't be blamed
Karyle's POV
*Karyle had just come back from a date with Jackson ( the omega he had been dating) where he had broken up with him after Jackson tried to pull some shit with him. Jackson of course threw a tantrum but he just shut it down with a few words and left the restaurant. He looked around the street as he didn't particularly feel like going home. As he was walking he remembered that Jace lived nearby so he just checked his address on his work profile and just decided to pop by.
After ringing the doorbell, he waited for Jace to open and was a bit surprised by his appearance but just wondered to himself if he came at a bad time. He looked at him from head to toe, his hazy eyes as he had still not recognised him, his flushed face as sweat trinkled down his neck, his dishevelled hair and clothes. Clothes...oh... Hmm... He quickly shut down those thoughts as he looked at him. Fuck he was attractive. He almost felt a nosebleed coming in. Damn I could wrap my hands around that waist and hold that bakery he's carrying and he's wearing nothing beneath that shirt right I could just reach out and pinch those... no no Karyle think straight he's your junior. Lots of people doing it either way. No Ryle get your mind out of the gutter .
"Evening ,I hope I'm not interrupting something?" he greeted him and watched as Jace panicked and welcomed him as he tried to fix himself to look presentable. It was low-key funny and cute to watch. He looked around the unit . It was his first time here he could see Jace putting away his drinks and turning of the music and running off to his room. Tbh he really didn't mind his appearance .it was pleasing to his eyes and Jace was also spilling his pheromones everywhere unconsciously. Well he was at his residence and he was clearly drunk so he couldn't really say anything so he just sat down on the couch after removing his shoes and curiously glanced at the tablet to see the playlist Jace had been playing. He didn't know most of them but from the ones he recognised and the lyrics on the one that had been paused he could guess. Jace then came back dressed up and behaving as he did at work. His pheromones also assaulted his nose . They were actually pleasant. He inhaled a bit more he knew that unlike most alphas he found some alphas pheromones pleasant and in some rare instances to the point he wanted to top them . He was probably an enigma after all but he preferred to be regarded as a normal alpha. He should probably tell Jace to keep his pheromones in check otherwise ...
" Your pheromones... ," he said calmly. Jace understood what he meant and stopped releasing his pheromones and awkwardly apologised.
Karyle just looked at him thoughtfully and said "Apologies for dropping by without telling you. No need to be so formal either. We're off work. Relax. Can I get a drink?"
