Alice's POV
My new consulting firm had been open for three weeks when I got the call that would change everything, and I was sitting in my home office nursing my morning sickness when my phone rang with an unknown number.
"Alice Hale speaking," I answered trying not to sound like I'd just been throwing up.
"Mrs Hale, my name is Dominic Reed," a deep voice said. "I'm the CEO of Reed Technologies, and I'd like to discuss a potential partnership with your firm."
Reed Technologies was one of the biggest tech companies in the country and getting them as a client would put my firm on the map. I sat up straighter and grabbed my notebook.
"I'd be happy to discuss that Mr Reed," I said. "When would you like to meet?"
"Are you free for lunch today?" he asked. "I'm in the city for meetings and I'd prefer to handle this quickly."
