Bryan's POV
I stared at Agent Morrison like he'd just told me the sky was falling because there was no way Diana could post bail for Marcus when he'd killed two guards during his escape.
"How is that even possible?" I demanded standing up so fast my chair fell over. "He murdered federal officers, judges don't grant bail for that."
"Apparently this judge did," Morrison said and he looked furious about it too. "Diana's lawyers argued that Marcus has terminal cancer and poses no flight risk because he's too sick to run, they had doctors testify that he has less than six months to live."
"That's bullshit," Antonio said from where he was standing by the door. "Marcus doesn't have cancer, I've seen his medical records and there's nothing about cancer anywhere."
