Chapter 157 - [158] Ominis and the Sealed Secrets

Anne Saru's hotel, named "Fiderot," stood distinct from the surrounding buildings and had a more English style.

Anne led Vizette and the others into the hotel, where they were greeted by a warm, soft yellow light.

The decor here was also distinctly English, with several magical oil paintings hanging on the walls depicting English countryside scenes and people working in the fields.

Upon entering the hotel lobby, one found a large fireplace surrounded by several armchairs, and a set of mahogany tables and chairs near the window.

For some reason, Vizette seemed able to sense a bit of Hogwarts in it.

The same held true for the guest rooms at the Fiderot Hotel, which had a living room style similar to the Great Hall at Hogwarts, and also featured a small fireplace.

The guest room was furnished with a four-poster brass bed, draped with green and silver-trimmed curtains, and complete with a bookcase and desk.

If the curtains had been replaced with blue ones and embroidered with eagle patterns, it would have been a carbon copy of the Ravenclaw dormitory.

Xenophilius was very satisfied with the room and patted the guide on the shoulder, saying, "Great! It must have been quite an achievement to have the hotel decorated like this."

The guide puffed out his chest and said, "Next time you travel to Northern Europe, be sure to look for 'Viking House'! We'll make you feel right at home!"

"You all take a rest first, I'll go and inform Mr. Ominis. We can begin our journey around lunchtime."

Xenophilius replied with a smile, "Of course!"

After leaving the room, the guide scratched his head, his tone tinged with confusion, "How did it become this style... Last time I came here, it was still the traditional Swedish style!"

...

After seeing off the dedicated guide, Xenophilius rubbed his hands together and said impatiently, "Once Mr. Ominis arrives, we can go find the Crumple-Horned Snorkack!"

"Daddy, that's great! We can finally see the Crumple-Horned Snorkack!" Luna was also very excited, and she took Xenophilius's hand and started dancing in the guest room.

Vizette sat at the table to the side, a smile on his face, but a hint of concern in his eyes.

The old woman I saw on the lake was actually the hotel owner.

The hotel's decor was also very similar to Hogwarts, and these coincidences combined made it seem rather deliberate.

He looked at the wall, where a small notice board hung, bearing a very vague arrest warrant from the Swedish Ministry of Magic.

The wanted poster featured an animated image depicting a cloud of black mist rising into the sky and destroying surrounding buildings.

Below was an additional line: Anyone who discovers traces of the Obscurial, provided the information is verified, can receive 100 Galleons. The information form is below...

"It looks quite tempting." Xenophilius pulled out a chair and sat down. "But don't worry, it's only a hundred Galleons. We won't sell you out."

Luna pulled out a chair and sat down opposite Vizette. "Was it because of what happened while rowing? It doesn't seem to be the interference from the Wrackspurt."

"You've swatted away all the Wrackspurts," Vizette said with a slight smile.

Luna was always so perceptive that she could read his mind.

Looking at Luna's concerned expression, he let out a soft breath and said, "I saw a figure on the lake; it was the owner of this hotel, Anne Saru."

"She was holding a bouquet of white lilies, probably mourning something... and her face looked slightly sad. But in the blink of an eye, she disappeared. I thought I was seeing things."

"Is that so?" Xenophilius stroked his chin. "It's alright! We'll go find the Crumple-Horned Snorkack this afternoon, and I'll ask about it for you when we get back for dinner."

Vizette frowned slightly. "Mr. Lovegood, isn't this a bit too abrupt?"

"I'm the editor-in-chief of The Quibbler," Xenophilius waved his hand. "This place has a long history, and we're sure to find some good material here."

"Of course I'll seize the opportunity to see if I can get any useful anecdotes to publish in the magazine. Since I'm already here, I should at least make sure the Galleon I spent was worthwhile, shouldn't I?"

Vizette nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Lovegood."

-------------------------------------

Putting aside any concerns about Anne Saru, staying in this wizard village was indeed a pleasant experience.

After lunch, before Ominis arrived, Vizette and Luna went outside the hotel and strolled along the surrounding cobblestone paths to digest their food.

It was only then that Vizette discovered that there were also wanted posters from the Swedish Ministry of Magic in the village, but he hadn't noticed them because of the clown man he had encountered earlier.

Luna was very excited the whole way, occasionally raising her hand to touch the light spot, then watching the light spot pass through her palm, float lightly to the ground and disappear.

It had to be said that both the people and the scenery had a dreamlike quality.

As an ancient wizard village, it also possessed countless ancient magical powers.

During his walk to digest his food, Vizette slowly illuminated the map in his mind, collecting the ancient magical power contained within it.

Having arrived in a new place and collected a considerable amount of ancient magical power, he naturally wanted to unlock new ancient magic.

He half-closed his eyes and channeled ancient magical power into "The Wizard's Practical Guide".

Countless silver-blue rays of light continuously flowed into it, and Vizette keenly noticed something: the pages were turning extremely violently this time, as if powerful ancient magic was about to emerge.

However, after The Wizarding Guide to Combat absorbed all the ancient magical power, it still did not reveal any new content, which caught Vizette somewhat off guard.

He closed his eyes, recalling his past experiences, "It seems this is the first time... I've encountered pages that require so much ancient magical power."

"No! We also have to include that experience at the beginning of the semester... The ancient magical power of the entire Diagon Alley was used to open the Magia Revelio."

Luna reached out and placed her hand on the back of Vizette's hand, gently shaking it as she said, "We should go back now. I see Dad waving at us."

Vizette's consciousness returned to reality, and he looked in the direction of the Fiderot Hotel.

Beside Xenophilius stood an old man dressed in a green-trimmed robe.

Unlike ordinary people, the old man had a pair of unusual gray-blue eyes that seemed completely unfocused, giving him a somewhat lifeless and chaotic look.

The old man had a fair complexion, and although wrinkles marked him with the passage of time, they did not diminish the noble air that emanated from his bones.

He waved his wand gently, bowed slightly to the three of them, and said in a gentle tone, "Hello, you can call me Ominis. I'm the one who provided the information about the Crumple-Horned Snorkack."

Vizette and Luna exchanged a glance, then simultaneously turned to look at Xenophilius, their eyes filled with questions.

Xenophilius shared the same confusion, touched his nose, coughed lightly, and asked, "You mentioned before that you obtained its horn... Would you mind showing it to us?"

"Of course, no problem!" Ominis smiled slightly and turned to call out towards the Fiderot Inn, "Annie, please give me the horn of the Crumple-Horned Snorkack."
