Chapter 88 - [88] Midnight Magic and Heartfelt Exchanges

"Let's go in and take a look! We just happen to be looking for a clothing store." Vizette noticed that Luna's gaze lingered on one spot for a long time.

It was a unique clothing store; there were no decorative ribbons or lights in the window, but a deer head wreath hung at the entrance.

The furry deer head kept snorting, but it didn't attract the attention of the passersby—this was a clothing store run by a wizard, called Mrs. Felton's Clothing Store.

Upon entering the shop, there was an old woman wearing a wizard's hat at an angle.

Her tone was gentle, "What a rare treat... Children, would you like to get some new clothes?"

"Yes, Mrs. Felton." Vizette nodded, then looked at Luna and said softly, "Go ahead and try! I'll be right here."

"Mmm!" Luna responded, flitting back and forth in the store like a happy butterfly.

The old woman followed behind, slowly and methodically explaining the garment's construction and the importance of the materials used, displaying a style reminiscent of Ollivander...

In one afternoon, Vizette also took Luna to a department store and bought everything they had planned to buy that day.

The commercial street was even more beautiful at night, with colorful lights hanging from the shops, creating a dazzling display that complemented the elaborately decorated Christmas trees under the eaves.

Luna wore a velvet robe with a snowflake pattern, the hem of which was adorned with feathers and bells;

Although she was carrying large and small bags, it did not affect her agility;

Strolling in the dappled light cast by the colorful lanterns, one felt like an elf descended to earth.

...

On the eve of Christmas, just as Vizette and his family were having dinner, a heavy snowfall finally began.

Even though there was only a thin layer of snow, Luna was overjoyed.

Together with Vizette, she took out a shovel and gathered the snow around the garden, sculpting three snowmen in the shape of owls.

Xenophilius retreated to the second floor to continue his "hidden plan," striving to finish the first edition of the storybook before the midnight bells rang.

After finishing sculpting the snowman and returning to the living room, Luna quietly covered her mouth and yawned.

"Go back to your room and sleep," Vizette said softly. "It's very late."

During this time, Vizette used the Leaky Cauldron as a transit point, traveling around London with Luna.

Besides sightseeing, Vizette also stopped in various places to prepare Christmas gifts for loved ones.

It wasn't until this afternoon that he was able to prepare the gift and deliver it successfully.

Luna was a great help, so it was normal to feel tired now.

She had a peculiar persistence tonight, insisting that she was "not sleepy at all," and picked up a book called "The Quibbler" and curled up on the sofa to read it.

Vizette smiled slightly, said nothing more, took out his wand and notebook, and sat down on one side of the sofa.

The living room was silent except for the sound of the two turning pages of a book and Luna quietly covering her mouth to yawn.

After an unknown amount of time, Vizette felt a weight on his arm. Luna's head was resting on his arm, and she was sleeping soundly.

Vizette smiled slightly; she had just said she wouldn't sleep, but now she was drifting off to sleep.

He carefully picked up the wand, touched the tip to the cushion, and subconsciously whispered, "Transformation..."

The pillow in Luna's arms suddenly stretched out and turned into a warm orange blanket.

"Hmm?" Vizette realized something.

The chanting just now wasn't very loud, and it seemed like he was progressing toward silent spellcasting.

Although he was very skilled at using the spell "Change with Method," he was still delighted to achieve such an effect.

Most importantly, his chanting didn't disturb Luna.

Luna remained asleep, curled up like a cat, clutching "The Quibbler" in her arms, her body rising and falling gently and rhythmically.

Vizette stopped flipping through his notes and closed his eyes to rest...

Coo-coo! Coo-coo!

The clock struck twelve.

Vizette suddenly opened his eyes, and his gaze met Luna's.

Before Luna could even rub her eyes, she leaped up like a nimble hare and rushed into the room.

Vizette rubbed his sore neck and arms, and for some reason, felt a strange emptiness in his heart.

However, he didn't hesitate and instead took a gift box out of his pocket.

This was a Christmas gift for Luna.

Luna returned quickly, carrying a gift box decorated with many flowers from the garden.

Inside the gift box was a crystal-clear potion bottle filled with a clear, golden liquid that glowed faintly, making it hard for Vizette to look away.

Inside the vial was a Dirigible plum, which appeared to have crystallized, resembling a magnificent orange-red gem.

"This is a potion my mother taught me." Luna tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Collect the first drop of dew you encounter each morning and give it as a gift on important days; it will bring you good luck."

Vizette held the vial in his hand; the vial radiated a warm heat, like eating a perfectly warm soft-boiled egg in the morning.

Is this why Luna collects dew in the morning?

A warm feeling washed over him.

Through this potion, he felt as if he could travel back in time and see Luna getting up early every day to carefully collect dew.

"When you get up in the morning, wear an extra jacket so you don't catch a cold."

"Good!"

Luna's cheeks turned so red that she had to open the window to let in some fresh air.

After the snowfall, there wasn't a single cloud in the night sky, and the bright moonlight shone down on her, casting a pearly white mist.

Vizette walked to the window, handed over his gift, and whispered, "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" Luna's voice was clearer than usual.

Inside the gift box was a bracelet, the main body of which was woven from unicorn tail hair, and the gentle silver color was like the dawn.

The bracelet was adorned with numerous feathers and flowers, including the vibrant feathers of a Diricawl and fragrant flowers such as lavender.

A perfectly round crystal bead was bound in the middle, and inside the crystal bead was a daisy-shaped iron plate with extremely delicate daisy patterns.

Vizette helped Luna put on the bracelet, pointed to the crystal bead, and said, "If danger comes... hold on for safety..."

He coughed lightly, trying to organize his thoughts, "If you encounter danger, hold it and rub it back and forth three times; it will protect your safety."

The iron plate inside was a gift from Ollivander; it was a magical item with defensive properties.

He combined Grindelwald's notebook with transfiguration magic and spells, making multiple modifications before finally changing it into the shape of a daisy.

"Okay!" Luna said softly.

She raised her wrist to the moon outside the window, constantly adjusting the angle.

"Vizette, look!"

She smiled and said, "You've made up for this imperfect moon!"

Vizette bent down slightly and looked ahead in the direction Luna was looking. The crystal bead and the moon in the sky complemented each other and looked like a whole.

"Luna? Where are you?"

Suddenly, Xenophilius's voice came from upstairs…
