Chapter 81 - [81] Soaring Debut – Ravenclaw's Quidditch Clash Ignites!

As December arrived, a Quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff was about to take place.

Early Saturday morning, Arsenal, as captain, started rambling on and on.

"Don't be nervous, we've practiced this tactic for a long time!"

"Cho Chang, relax a bit, we still have two more rounds to go! We'll have plenty of opportunities!"

"If anyone's broom malfunctions, remember to call a stop immediately! No one getting injured is the best outcome!"

...

The players weren't initially that nervous, but after Arsenal's reprimand, they became somewhat uneasy.

Vizette, on the other hand, was unaffected. He was still reviewing his notes and hadn't heard a word Arsenal said.

They would have to wait in the locker room later, where Arsenal would explain their tactics again.

Moreover, based on his extensive exam experience from his previous life, he knew that getting nervous would actually hinder his performance.

He had a methodology that only worked for him and helped him calm down, such as reviewing more.

Wizards didn't have many forms of entertainment, so it was rare to have a Quidditch match to watch. The students arrived early, full of enthusiasm, eagerly awaiting the start of the match.

Just as Vizette stepped onto the pitch, a loud bang came from the sky, and a firework eagle soared into the sky.

Those were fireworks lit by Fred and George, and he could still see the two of them waving at him.

In fact, many people in the stands were waving at them.

Although the match was still half an hour away from starting, the stands around the stadium were already packed with people.

Seeing such a lively scene, Vizette was reminded of the football leagues in his previous life... mainly the World Cup and the Champions League.

Arsenal led them into the dressing room, where they changed into sky-blue Quidditch robes, knee pads, gloves, and chest protectors.

Although the knee pads, gloves, and chest protector were made of leather, they were coated with a deep bronze-colored leather oil, making them look like real bronze armor.

Arsenal practiced their tactics one last time and gave their final pre-match remarks: "We have many new players, and Hufflepuff is relatively friendly, which would help you adapt to the pace of the game."

"But you must remember, only Hufflepuffs are that friendly. When you face Slytherin next, you must be on your guard; they have a lot of dirty tricks up their sleeves!"

Roger smiled and added, "But don't worry too much, that's something to consider later."

"That's right!" Arsenal set up their tactics board. "Let's make some final adjustments! The bell would ring when the time is up."

While waiting for the match to start, Cho Chang also brought out Chocolate Frogs to share with everyone.

"This is what Penelope asked me to bring you. If you're feeling nervous, eat some Chocolate Frog. They can easily relieve anxiety."

At 11 o'clock, Vizette followed his teammates out of the locker room and headed to the center of the Quidditch pitch.

Shouts could be heard all along the way.

Go Ravenclaw!

Hufflepuff will win!

"Just don't lose too badly! Our house emblem is an eagle!"

Hey! What discouraging things are you saying!

"We have to win! Ravenclaw can't afford to lose again!"

...

There were all sorts of opinions, and the Ravenclaw students were not very optimistic, as there were just too many new players on the team this year.

"Don't let them influence you!" Arsenal said with unwavering determination. "Today we're here to prove Ravenclaw right!"

"Yes!" The players' voices were equally firm.

With a deafening roar, another magical firework soared into the sky. The firework eagle let out a loud cry, flapped its broad wings, and soared into the sky until it disappeared completely.

According to Fred and George's vision, the complete form of these house fireworks should be that they flew around the field once before slowly dissipating.

It was unclear how much longer the two of them would need to adjust before the magic fireworks achieved the desired effect.

But this didn't stop them from earning some pocket money.

After the Fireworks Eagle disappeared, another loud bang erupted above them, and an adorable Fireworks Badger appeared.

"And there's more! We sell both types of fireworks!"

"Okay! Two miniature house fireworks! Two Galleons in return!"

"Look closely! This is the Badger and Eagle Together in the Sky that you wanted!"

From the stands, the excited shouts of two vendors could be heard.

Two huge explosions rang out, and the Firework Badger and the Firework Eagle appeared simultaneously, vying to be the first to cry out.

One minute before 11 o'clock, Madam Hooch appeared riding a broomstick.

"Everyone, please hop on your broomstick!" she called, whistling sharply, her voice and expression perfectly natural.

Refereeing was her main job, and Quidditch pitches were where she truly belonged.

Only in this place did Madam Hooch feel truly at home.

"Ride your broomstick and listen to my whistle..." She released the Bludger, holding a Quaffle in her hand.

She checked the time and said, "Three...two...one, the match begins!"

The whistle blew, and the Beaters were the first to rise into the air, ready to deal with the Bludger.

Vizette shifted his attention from the stands and focused entirely on the game.

When he heard Madam Hooch shout "The match begins," he immediately leaped into the air and caught the Quaffle that had just been thrown into the air.

"What incredible speed!" exclaimed commentator Lee Jordan. "As a rookie, Vizette has taken the Quaffle first!"

"His speed is incredible! Let's see his broom... it's only a Cleansweep Five?"

He glanced at the commentary booth beside him. "Professor Flitwick, I thought you would also buy this newcomer a new broom!"

At Professor Flitwick's feet stood a high platform made of ebony.

Seeing that Vizette had taken the Quaffle first, he was in a great mood, with a big smile on his face.

"If we're lucky enough to win the Quidditch Cup this year, I'll try to get the whole team some new brooms!"

As the two were talking, before his opponents could react, Vizette charged straight at Hufflepuff's goalposts.

Hufflepuff's Keeper was startled and kept moving back and forth in front of the three hoops, trying to defend.

Without hesitation, Vizette hurled the Quaffle, the bright red ball arcing through the air, grazing the Keeper's nose before disappearing into the hoop.

The stands on the Ravenclaw side erupted instantly, with students shouting wildly.

"Ravenclaw scores ten points!" Lee Jordan exclaimed in a high-pitched voice, "In less than a minute!"

"Vizette has scored the first goal! I've been commentating for so long, and I've never seen a goal scored so quickly!"

The Hufflepuff team felt the same way; before they could react, Vizette had already taken the lead.

Taking advantage of this time, Arsenal roared: "Tactics! Tactics!"

Madam Hooch served again, and Vizette took the lead once more, a bit faster than the opponent's Chaser, and caught the Quaffle again…
