"Have you seen it?" Hermione asked quickly. "It's Neville's pet toad, named Trevor."
Vizette shook his head slightly. "I've never seen it, but I hope you can describe what this pet toad looks like."
"I'll go get Neville!" Hermione exclaimed, rushing out of the carriage.
Penelope asked gently, "Are you planning to use a summoning spell?"
Vizette nodded. "Yes, I want to try it."
"But you should know that, right?" Penelope didn't rush to dismiss Vizette's idea. "Summoning spells can only be used on inanimate objects."
"Even if there are exceptions, they are only creatures like the Flobberworm, whose structure is extremely simple, so that the summoning spell can work."
"Why don't we give him a try?" Cho Chang suggested from the side. "Vizette is quite special… This morning, he even helped a third-grade student complete his pre-class assignment."
"Is that really true?" Penelope exclaimed in surprise. "There's nothing wrong with putting curiosity into practice. What I just said was indeed inappropriate, as a Ravenclaw."
Vizette smiled slightly; he had a good impression of Ravenclaw.
After spending this short time together, he found the atmosphere in Ravenclaw quite appealing.
Having arrived in this magical world, besides going to Sweden with Luna to find the Crumple-Horned Snorkack, learning and exploration had become his primary goals.
This world was full of unknowns and wonders, and the magic that could cover all aspects of life was something he should continue to learn.
In addition, there were also a variety of magical animals and wizarding ruins that he had never seen before, all of which made him yearn for them.
Through Lee Jordan's introduction to the four houses, Vizette now had a basic understanding of them.
If he could get into Ravenclaw, he would be able to have a good student life and lay the foundation for his future exploration.
...
Soon, Hermione led the boy who had lost the toad back here.
The boy had a round face, and his flushed cheeks were streaked with tears. "Th...thank you...Hermione said...that you can help me find...Trevor..."
Vizette handed over a few tissues. "I need a more specific description. What does Trevor look like? It would be best if you could be more specific so that the target is clearer and I can help you better."
"Th...thank you!" The boy blew his nose, his sobs subsiding considerably. "It's about the size of two of my palms, dark brown, with thirteen bumps on its back..."
The boy was very interested in the toad Trevor and described it in great detail.
A combination of words and gestures was enough to give Vizette a concrete image.
What needed to be done next was very simple...
He drew his wand and waved it gently, chanting the spell: "Toad Trevor, come!"
The core of the Obscurus suddenly throbbed, unleashing a surge of ancient magical power. This power flowed into the wand, causing it to emit a silver-blue light.
The people in the carriage all looked towards the door at the same time.
A commotion suddenly broke out in the corridor.
"Look! A flying toad!"
"Ugh! How disgusting! It touched my hair!"
"Why would someone bring a toad on a train? Where is it going?"
...
Accompanied by a frantic "croaking" sound, a plump toad appeared at the doorway.
It struggled desperately, paddling its limbs, but could only helplessly lunge at Vizette.
Vizette's eyelids twitched, and he withdrew his wand.
Losing control of the summoning spell, Trevor the toad fell into Neville's hands.
"Merlin's beard! Such a big toad, the summoning spell shouldn't work..." Penelope rubbed her eyes and silently opened a box of chocolate frogs.
"Just as I thought," Cho Chang said with a smile. "It's really quite interesting!"
Neville kept thanking him, "Thank you so much! I don't know what to say! My name is Neville, Neville Longbottom!"
Hermione launched into a rapid-fire monologue, "Vizette, which house are you planning to go to? Gryffindor? Headmaster Dumbledore is from that house..."
"I haven't thought about that yet. It should be Ravenclaw, right? If I could choose…" Vizette replied absentmindedly.
His attention was focused on the chocolate picture; he thought he had just seen Dumbledore return.
The Dumbledore picture that returned seemed a little different; his eyes were more lively, and Vizette could sense the goodwill in them.
"Shouldn't you tell the others who helped? After all, the toad has been found!" Cho Chang's words finally got Hermione and Neville to leave.
"Phew..." Watching the two figures disappear into the distance, Vizette let out a long breath.
The two men's half-hour-long thank-you and questioning left him somewhat exhausted, both physically and mentally.
Cho Chang chuckled and said, "This year's freshmen are really energetic."
"Yes!" Penelope stood up, adjusting the prefect's badge on her chest. "I have to go to a meeting, and this badge is reminding me to go to a meeting by getting warm…"
As darkness fell, large swaths of crimson and purple hues painted the sky, while the mountains and forests below rushed past the window, creating a somewhat eerie atmosphere.
Not long after, a hollow voice echoed through the train.
"The Hogwarts Express will arrive at the station in five minutes. Please leave your luggage on the train and we will deliver it to your dormitory."
-------------------------------------
Dumbledore put down the chocolate picture card in his hand, his face full of smiles. "Amazing magical talent... You can do this much just by touching a wand?"
He quickly suppressed his smile, recalling the less-than-pleasant past, and sighed softly.
"We still need proper guidance to prevent a repeat of what happened. Harry and Vizette both require special arrangements; looks like we'll be busy!"
thump thump thump...
A knock sounded at the door, and Professor McGonagall, dressed in a dark green robe, entered. "Headmaster Dumbledore, is this year's Sorting List ready?"
"Of course I'm ready. You've come at the perfect time." Dumbledore stood up and waved his fingers like a conductor, causing the parchment scroll on the table to fly up and land in Professor McGonagall's hands.
The list of schools was written in beautiful cursive script, and the emerald green ink on it didn't dry completely until Professor McGonagall caught the parchment scroll.
Professor McGonagall glanced at the sorting list. "Vizette's last name is Lovegood? What was his original last name?"
"It's impossible to verify…" Dumbledore shrugged helplessly. "I also investigated that dark wizard… everything is shrouded in mystery."
"So we can only use the surname Lovegood. It was kept secret until now to protect his safety."
"It wasn't until today, after Vizette boarded the Hogwarts Express, that I had Xenophilius complete the formalities."
Professor McGonagall nodded. "This was a necessary measure. We didn't expect the news to leak out, especially since the Parkinson family is so extreme."
"That's all in the past." Dumbledore waved his hand. "A Runespoor isn't worth much… and using a Runespoor egg as compensation is a small punishment to teach a lesson."
Professor McGonagall was somewhat worried. "Will they try to retaliate again?"
"No," Dumbledore chuckled. "I've made it clear to your face that I'll keep an eye on the boy. As long as Voldemort hasn't returned, they won't dare to go that far."
"That's good," Professor McGonagall said. "I have to go now; the train is almost at its destination."
She walked to a cabinet, took out a tattered hat, and left the principal's office with the list of students assigned to different departments.
Watching Professor McGonagall's departing figure, Dumbledore waved again, and a purple robe adorned with star patterns flew up and automatically donned his clothes.
The purple wizard's hat also flew up and landed on his head.
Fully prepared, he gently closed the principal's office door…
