Jin Di kept one hand on the wheel, the other resting loosely on her thigh as the villa drew closer through the windshield. He glanced at her, eyes glinting with private satisfaction.

Elena couldn't hold back her excitement. "Yes!"
His gaze sharpened with quiet authority. "Yes, what?"
She flushed, but obeyed. "Yes, darling."
The car stopped.
Not slowed. Not rolled.
Stopped.
The seatbelt pressed lightly into her chest, and she whipped her head toward him. "Why did..."
He was already leaning in, closing the space inch by slow inch, his breath tracing the line of her cheek. His voice dropped to a low whisper that curled straight down her spine.
"Kiss me first, baby girl."
Her heart thudded against her ribs. "Here? Right now?"
"We're alone," he reminded softly, eyes darkening even further.
