Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Minato Namikaze

A spiky-haired boy and a short-haired girl walked into the barbecue restaurant. Behind them was a silver-haired boy, slightly shorter than the two, wearing a black mask and a tight black combat suit, with a short sword on his back.

The spiky-haired boy would occasionally turn his head and say something to the silver-haired boy, who, however, had a dead-fish look in his eyes, clearly showing no interest in the spiky-haired boy's provocations.

Behind the three of them was a man with blond hair, blue eyes, and a warm smile on his face.

The man noticed Uchiha En's gaze and turned to look in their direction.

"Shibi-senpai? I see, are these the three that Hokage-sama specifically mentioned?" Minato Namikaze thought to himself.

"Obito, let's go sit over there! Your clan member is also there," Minato Namikaze said with a smile.

Hearing this, Obito looked around the barbecue restaurant and then noticed Uchiha En.

"It's En-kun and Asana-chan!" Rin also noticed Uchiha En and the others and couldn't help but exclaim.

The three of them and Minato Namikaze came to Uchiha En's table.

"Shibi-senpai, long time no see!" Minato Namikaze greeted Aburame Shibi.

The taciturn Aburame Shibi nodded in response.

Minato Namikaze clearly had a good relationship with Aburame Shibi. Seeing Aburame Shibi's "cold" demeanor, Minato Namikaze didn't mind at all. Instead, he smiled and asked, "Shibi-senpai, can we sit next to you?"

"You can."

Minato Namikaze immediately motioned for his disciples to sit down.

Uchiha En looked at the future Fourth Hokage, who showed no pretense, and couldn't help but recall some of Minato Namikaze's deeds.

In the original work, Minato Namikaze became the Fourth Hokage shortly after the end of the Third Great Ninja War, and he only served as Hokage for one year.

Naruto and his classmates graduated from the Ninja Academy at age 12, which was Year 60 of Konoha. From this, it can be inferred that Naruto was born in Year 48 of Konoha, meaning Minato Namikaze became Hokage in Year 47 of Konoha.

And the Third Great Ninja War likely ended between Year 46 and Year 47 of Konoha.

It is currently Year 42 of Konoha, meaning there are still 4 to 5 years until the end of the Third Great Ninja War.

During these few years, it is no exaggeration to say that the entire battlefield of the Third Great Ninja War was Minato Namikaze's personal show.

At less than 20 years old, he could directly confront the Kumogakure A-B Combo, instantly defeating 50 Jonin. Because he often won battles with speed, he was known as the "yellow flash." Major ninja Villages even directly ordered their ninja to flee upon seeing Minato Namikaze, abandoning their missions without punishment.

Such a formidable record made Minato Namikaze Konoha's top hero in the Third Great Ninja War.

And even after becoming Hokage, he consistently maintained his tolerant and gentle personality.

Minato Namikaze's attitude towards the Uchiha Clan was also completely different from other high-ranking Village officials, and Uchiha Fugaku trusted him greatly.

If Minato Namikaze had not sacrificed himself to seal the Nine-Tailed, the fate of the Uchiha Clan might have been rewritten.

"En, the barbecue is burning, aren't you going to eat it?"

Yamanaka Kagetsu's words interrupted Uchiha En's thoughts.

He picked up a piece of grilled meat with tongs, sprinkled some seasoning like Yamanaka Kagetsu, and then put the meat into his mouth.

"It tastes good."

"Hehe! I'm quite confident in my grilling skills," Yamanaka Kagetsu said with a smile.

Uchiha En and his teammates had arrived at the barbecue restaurant first, and they had almost finished the meat they ordered.

Uchiha Obito couldn't sit still. He stood up and called out to Uchiha En: "Hey! Uchiha En!"

"What is it?" Uchiha En turned his head and asked expressionlessly.

"Which battlefield is your squad going to?"

"Obito, we shouldn't ask about that!" Rin pulled Obito and said.

And Uchiha En had no intention of answering.

Obito grew anxious at the sight. At this moment, Minato Namikaze, who was beside them, smiled and asked Aburame Shibi: "Shibi-senpai, you must be going to the Land of Bears battlefield, right?"

Aburame Shibi was stunned. He hadn't expected Minato Namikaze to break the Village's rules and directly inquire about their mission for a newly accepted disciple.

If anyone else had asked, Aburame Shibi would have definitely refused to answer, but it was Minato Namikaze who was asking now.

So Aburame Shibi said without hesitation: "That's right, we're going to the Land of Bears."

"Uchiha En, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist are in the Land of Bears. You must not be impulsive, don't let your parents' hatred cloud your judgment," Obito quickly said.

Uchiha En nodded and said: "Don't worry! I know what I'm doing. Thank you for your concern."

With Uchiha Obito's interruption, Uchiha En and his teammates lost their appetite to continue eating.

After finishing the meat on the table, Aburame Shibi took the three of them and left.

Coming out of the barbecue restaurant, Aburame Shibi said: "Tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock, we will gather at Training Ground Three."

Uchiha En and the two others nodded in affirmation.

Meanwhile, back in the barbecue restaurant, Obito thanked Minato Namikaze for his help.

Minato Namikaze waved his hand dismissively and said with a smile: "It's a teacher's duty to help his disciples solve problems. But speaking of which, were your clan member's parents killed by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Obito?"

Obito nodded and shared what he knew about Uchiha En.

"So, En-kun awakened his Sharingan due to excessive grief over his parents' death? The cost of awakening it like that is too great," Rin couldn't help but sigh.

"Indeed! I imagine he wouldn't want such a Sharingan himself," Minato Namikaze added.

Kakashi's expression also changed somewhat, evidently, Uchiha En's plight resonated with him slightly.

The next day, Uchiha En and his teammates arrived at Training Ground Three on time.

After yesterday's test, Aburame Shibi had a basic understanding of the three's situations.

Among the three, Uchiha En's overall strength should be the strongest. His astonishingly fast Body Flicker Technique, skilled Fire Release, and Chakra reserves far exceeding those of ordinary Genin. Aside from the disadvantage of too few actual combat experiences, Uchiha En should possess the combat power of an average Chunin.

Hyuga Asana, like most members of the Hyuga Clan, excelled in Taijutsu. The Hyuga Clan's fighting style primarily relied on the Byakugan and related Taijutsu that complemented it. Therefore, Aburame Shibi inferred that the Fire Release Hyuga Asana knew must have been recently learned, possibly even from Uchiha En.

Finally, there was Yamanaka Kagetsu. Yamanaka Kagetsu's Taijutsu was, to put it mildly, a mess. The Yamanaka Clan's mind-control secret techniques were only considered average at his age. His only redeeming quality was his obedience and willingness to play a supporting role.
