Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Tyrunt’s Signature Move

Early the next morning, Theo quickly finished washing up, fed his two little Pokémon their breakfast, and then packed his backpack.

Inside were Feebas's inflatable fish tank, Tyrunt's food, his streaming equipment, healing potions… and several emergency supplies. After checking everything carefully, he set off toward Petalburg Woods with Tyrunt and Feebas.

Theo hailed a taxi to Petalburg Woods.

As the car drove out of the city district, the tall buildings gradually gave way to dense, lush forests. The fresh scent of greenery drifted in through the car window, instantly refreshing and soothing the heart.

Tyrunt was still small enough to sit comfortably inside the car. It sprawled near the window, its little nose pressed against the glass, curiously watching the trees that blurred past and the occasional wild Pokémon darting by. Its mouth continuously let out excited "tyrrr—tyrrr" sounds.

The taxi driver kept glancing back, asking Theo with great curiosity what kind of Pokémon this was. He felt he had never seen anything like it before. Theo simply chuckled and chatted casually to shift the topic.

Petalburg Woods wasn't too far from Rustboro. Half an hour later, the car reached the forest entrance.

The moment Theo stepped out, a wave of fresh woodland air hit him. Ancient towering trees intertwined overhead, forming a thick canopy of green shade. Bird-like Pokémon occasionally chirped from within the woods, filling the area with vibrant life.

Tyrunt, upon reaching the forest, immediately wagged its tail excitedly. It sniffed the surrounding air with its nose, amber eyes full of curiosity toward this new environment. Every now and then, it let out a sharp "TYRR!" toward the rustling bushes, like an energetic child overflowing with enthusiasm.

Theo chose a spacious spot with a wide view. He placed Feebas's inflatable tank on a flat stone, released Feebas from its Poké Ball, and instructed it to use a Water-type move to fill the tank so it could show itself to the viewers later.

"Alright, time to start the stream."

Theo took out his phone, adjusted the streaming equipment, set it to follow mode, then took a deep breath and pressed the button to go live.

Within moments, the stream was flooded with viewers. With Steven Stone's appearance yesterday and the attraction of a newly revived fossil Pokémon, the viewer count surged past 100,000. The scrolling comments swept across the screen like a tidal wave—

"!!! The streamer is finally live! I thought Champion Steven kidnapped you to mine rocks for him!"

"I waited the whole day—finally! Hurry and show us which Pokémon you picked from Champion Steven!"

"Which fossil Pokémon did you choose?! Quick, release it! Just thinking about Steven's private fossil collection has me hyped!"

Theo laughed as he looked at the barrage of comments. He waved at the screen.

"Thanks for waiting, everyone. Yesterday, I really did stay at the Devon Corporation the whole day, and it was very rewarding. Let me introduce my new partner first."

As he spoke, he controlled the hovering camera drone to float in front of Tyrunt so its face filled the screen.

For one second, the streaming chat went completely silent—

Then it erupted with even more explosive messages:

"Holy crap?! What Pokémon is this? Looks draconic?!"

"Am I seeing this right?! That head, those scales, those little sharp teeth… this thing is way too cool!"

"Is this a newly discovered fossil Pokémon?! Aaaah it looks amazing!"

The chat instantly exploded, the viewers' excitement almost spilling directly out of the screen. Everyone was completely captivated by the unusual little creature in front of them.

Just as the viewers were stunned by Tyrunt's appearance, Theo revealed an even bigger bombshell, a mysterious smile on his face:

"That's right. This fossil was one of the newest ones unearthed by Champion Steven. I picked a fossil that no one had seen before, and the revival just happened to bring out this completely new ancient Pokémon.

Its name is Tyrunt. Oh—by the way, it's a dual Rock and Dragon-type Pokémon."

His tone carried irrepressible pride as he gently pointed at Tyrunt, introducing this "new friend" to the viewers in detail.

"Dragon-type?! Are you kidding me?! Streamer, your luck is absolutely illegal!"

"I was literally just thinking—this little dinosaur-looking Pokémon might have Dragon-typing—and damn it, it really does! I'm so jealous! DRAGON-TYPE!!!"

"I want one too! A Dragon-type that also looks this fierce—streamer, you're unbelievable."

"Tyrr...?"

Tyrunt stared curiously at the flying black cube-shaped camera device. It tilted its head, baring its tiny teeth while inching closer to the lens.

Laughing, Theo gently patted its head. "Don't mess around. We're live right now. Say hello to everyone."

Tyrunt seemed to understand somewhat. It shook its head toward the camera, opened its small mouth, and let out a soft, childlike "Tyrr!"

Although the sound wasn't loud, it carried a strangely majestic tone, triggering another wave of explosive excitement in the chat.

"Tyrunt, use your special move! Show everyone!" Theo instructed loudly.

But Tyrunt simply tilted its head, staring at Theo. Its round eyes blinked a few times—obviously waiting for him to clarify which move he meant. Its confused expression was adorably silly.

The viewers were hooked, and the chat surged again:

"A signature move, is it a Dragon-type move?"

"No way—Tyrunt is that little and already knows a Dragon-type finisher?!"

"Draco Meteor? Outrage?"

"No way, that would be outrageous. At most something like Dragon Claw or Dragon Pulse, right?"

"Agreed. If it actually knows big moves now, that would be completely broken!"

Seeing Theo still not specifying the move, Tyrunt grew visibly upset. It trotted over with its short legs, pressed itself against his shin, and let out soft, wounded "tyrrr~!" sounds—

And then it directly used Charm.

"AAAAH it's so cute! That was way too precious!"

"Hahaha is its special move really Charm?! This is hilarious! A fierce-looking baby dragon using Charm—perfection!"

"That move is unbeatable. I surrender already."

"This signature move truly is god-tier. I give up."

"The contrast is insane! It looks so fierce, but its personality is this soft?! I'm in love!"

"Streamer, make it move again! I need to record this as wallpaper!"

Tyrunt's Charm was clearly more effective than any high-power move.

The little one rubbed its head pitifully against Theo's pants, its tail drooping down, amber eyes shimmering like they were filled with tears. It looked as if it was saying, 'If you don't tell me clearly, I'm not moving.'

The "mom-fans" in the chat collectively shattered on the spot.

"Help—this contrast is too much! A second ago I thought it could bite through boulders, and now it looks like a puppy begging for pets!"

"If it used Charm in a real battle, the opponent would probably forfeit while laughing!"

"I hereby declare Tyrunt my new emotional support pet! Streamer, open up a gift channel—I'm buying snacks for the little dinosaur!"

Theo smiled and stroked its head, gently scratching its nose.

"Alright, alright, I know you're upset. I wanted you to use Dragon Dance. I forgot to say it clearly."

Tyrunt seemed to understand his explanation. It twisted its little body at his feet, letting out a soft "tyrrr," as if complaining, "Why didn't you say that earlier?"
