The potion is not smooth at all. Other slytherins are okay, but Damian, he is also a victim to snape. Whenever he is brewing the potion, he needs to run his Occlumency to suppress his nervousness. Whenever he look back, Snape will be there and even a small mistake will be awarded with a deduction of points along with a harsh remark.
Griffyndor students are the main victims here. Neville is brought to the stage of tears by snape and Harry suffered many points deductions. Lastly the class became disaster when Neville too nervous in brewing blew up his couldron and made a green scorching mess that caused burns to everyone.
A corner of table disappeared. And the couldron broke. Fortunately Damian acted quickly and ducked under his table after covering his potion. Snape berated Neville once again too harshly and send the crying boy to Poppy Pomfret, the school nurse or healer as they say. While other were given the cure for boils that Snape brewed himself.
At the end of class, Snape barely acknowledged his potion and dismssed him with a mere one point award. As Damian left the class, he quickly caught upto Hermione Granger. Not because he is attracted or anything. He needs her, she is an avid reader and keep studying something.
Even in the last two classes after succeeding she didn't stop and studied the topics in the subjects. She will be a good one to ask something or a good study partner. Damian will never trust anyone but that doesn't he won't make friends and will stay introvert. He will need to make friends with others.
But Harry and Ron are avoiding him, maybe due to their prejudice to the Slytherin house. Speaking of friends, he isn't talking about a friendship that can give lives. Moreover, Hermione maybe clever and all, but she will be a good friend who can deliver some information when he gets close and chat with her.
As he arrived at the library, he picked up a book and started reading form that. It's a book about Hogwarts, he is searching for the room of requirement. Unfortunately that book didn't have the information about it. He sighed in frustration while Hermione said," I'm trying to study Mr Knight. Please don't make sounds ".
Damian asked," oh I will miss Granger ", he stood up and just left. Hermione looked at him with her mouth open before saying," hmph ", and then got back to reading. Damian meanwhile frowned, he just got irritated easily. Seems like he needs to speed up Occlumency practice to contain his emotions.
Damian returned to great hall and ate some dinner before returning to the common room. Draco taunted him as soon as he arrived in the common room," well look who is here, the disgrace of Slytherin. Draco's face turned bright red. The awaited fight didn't happen and they don't have a reason to frame Damian. Even if they attack Damian now, they will be in trouble once Damian complain about them.
