Chapter 22 - "He's threatening me using the child."

Bhadran looked at everyone who had recently joined his office for a few moments. He was confused for a moment upon seeing Mullai sitting there, but quickly recovered.

Finally, he said, "I think everyone understood what I said. Keep that in mind and get to work," and then opened the file in his hand again. The newcomers had all worked for more than a year in a company abroad.

But only one of them had worked for just one month. When he checked to see who it was, it was Mullai. Frowning, he looked up at Prakash and asked thoughtfully, "I didn't ask you to bring a new employee, did I? Then why did you bring just one person like that?"

To which Prakash began to plead, "Brother, she might be a new employee, but she's a hard worker. Very trustworthy. Besides, I've brought her on my own accord. Please don't say no, brother."

Bhadran glared at Prakash and asked somewhat harshly, "You know me very well, yet on what basis did you bring her?"

Prakash, slightly flustered, said, "Brother, if she doesn't work properly, we can fire her. Now, please, for my sake, brother," he pleaded. After thinking for a while, Bhadran agreed with a warning, "Okay, but if she doesn't work as you said, not only her, but you too will have to leave this office permanently along with her." The one who was happy about it said, "Okay, Anna," with a smile all over his face. The other man, looking at him suspiciously, turned to his assistant Hari and ordered, "Take these people to whichever departments have vacancies, tell the managers there, and then come back." As soon as Bhadran gave the order, Hari said, "Okay, Master," and led the others away.

Just as they were about to leave, Bhadran's voice said, "Miss Mullai, you stay here," and Mullai stopped, startled. Hari, who had already seen Mullai sitting there when he entered the room, simply nodded at her and left.

But Prakash remained, staring at Mullai. Noticing him, Bhadran turned and asked sternly, "Do I have to tell you separately? Get out!" Prakash, immediately averting his gaze from Mullai, hurriedly said, "Yes, Anna, I'm leaving," and went outside.

Now, only Bhadran and Mullai were left in the conference room. Bhadran, watching Mullai who stood there bewildered, rose from his seat and slowly walked towards her. Mullai felt inexplicably nervous. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead, and she wiped them away with her hand before looking up at Bhadran, who stood before her.

Bhadran's face was like an iceberg. Showing no emotion, he was rigid, and slowly opened his mouth and asked, "Is this the office you mentioned?" "Yes, sir," she replied, but to escape his intense gaze, she turned her face away.

Narrowing his eyes, he said, "When I ask a question, you should look at me and answer, otherwise..." He stopped, and Mullai immediately turned back and looked into his eyes. She froze, staring into his icy, unblinking eyes. What was it about his eyes? Why couldn't she tear her gaze away from them? Many questions arose in her mind, but she couldn't find the answer.

He moved closer to Mullai, who was staring at him without blinking, and asked, "What have you studied?" She replied, "I've studied a fashion designing course." Bhadran looked at her thoughtfully.

She felt flustered by his closeness. His gentle cologne scent affected her in some way. Finding it difficult to breathe, she slowly moved away from him, but tripped over a nearby table and fell right onto him. Unexpectedly, he stumbled and fell to the ground.

Mullai's two hands were pressed firmly against Bhadran's chest, while Bhadran's hands were resting on Mullai's soft waist. In the momentum of the fall, Mullai's lips landed squarely on Bhadran's cheek. Both of them were startled by this unexpected event.

Mullai was terrified. She feared he might scold her. "Sorry sir, I tripped and fell on you. Please don't misunderstand," she said hastily, trying to get up. But she couldn't. She looked down to see what was wrong. Bhadran's hands were tightly gripping her waist.

She slowly looked up at his face and hesitantly asked, "Sir, could you please remove your hands?" He squeezed her waist once more before letting go. Just then, a woman opened the door and walked in. She was shocked to see them in that position.

Meanwhile, Mullai got up from on top of him...

Bhadran slowly got up, adjusted his clothes, and looked questioningly at the woman who had entered. She was Nisha, the manager.

She was wearing a business suit. She had the confident demeanor of women in high positions. At the same time, an excessive amount of arrogance was hidden in her eyes.

She came straight to Bhadran and asked solicitously, "Sir, what happened? Did you fall down? Is there any problem?" She asked this because she had seen him fall down with a woman when she entered. To this, Bhadran irritably asked, "Nothing like that. Why are you here?"

Taken aback, Nisha didn't ask him anything further and started talking about office matters. "Sir, I spoke to Mr. CEO Raghuram. We showed him the project he mentioned, after completing it as much as possible, and asked for his review. He said he was satisfied. I came to tell you about this and to ask if there's anything else we need to discuss with him. If not, we can finalize the deal with them immediately," she said. After she finished speaking, he glanced at her, took the file from her hand, and didn't say anything else.

Mr. CEO Raghuram is a key business partner of the Bhadran Group. Negotiations for a new business venture are underway with them. She had given Bhadran the file related to that.

Bhadran turned to Mullai and said, "This is your manager. You'll be working with her," and then introduced her to Nisha. "Nisha, this is a new employee. Please give her training," Bhadran said, and Nisha looked at Mullai. With her almond-shaped eyes and perfectly shaped eyebrows, Mullai looked very simple and beautiful without any makeup. Nisha nodded her head, saying "Okay sir," with a hint of jealousy.

She didn't like Mullai at all. She was especially angry after seeing her fall to the ground with Bhadran on her very first day. A certain infatuation was evident in the way Nisha looked at Bhadran.

She was the daughter of Moorthy, Bhadran's business partner. A wealthy woman, she was highly educated. With her talent, she could start her own business. But she was working here as a manager with the hope of marrying Bhadran.

She had even tried to get closer to Bhadran several times and tried to express her feelings. But each time, she had failed.

She knew everything about Bhadran. She was certain that he wouldn't even go near women. Yet, seeing him talking so intimately with a woman today made her suspicious. Without showing it on her face, she started talking to Bhadran about office matters.

Mullai was in a great dilemma, wondering whether she should leave or not. After finishing their conversation in 5 minutes, Bhadran said, "Nisha, take her with you. Explain her job details to her," and without looking back, he went to his room. Nisha also took her to her section.

The employees there were looking at the newcomer with questioning eyes. Nisha introduced Mullai to them and then went to her room. Mullai sat down in the chair assigned to her and looked at the tasks she had to do.

At the same time, after leaving Vaishnavi with Narayanan, Theeran, the little master, got into the black car waiting outside for him and drove away. The car stopped in front of an old building located on the outskirts of Chennai.

As soon as Theeran got out, a man ran towards him. Theeran merely nodded in response to the man's greeting and, walking on, asked, "Did they open their mouths and say anything?" The man, walking alongside him, replied, "No boss, they didn't open their mouths no matter how much we beat them."

Theeran's face showed only disgust and irritation. Concealing those emotions in half a second, he simply nodded and continued walking with the man.

Without speaking further, he arrived at the place where the thugs were being held. Two men were there, their hands bound with chains, their bodies covered in blood. Sitting majestically in a chair in front of them, Theeran, with his small eyes radiating hatred, asked only two words: "Are you going to tell me or not?"

But they laughed at Theeran. "Hey, look, he's brought a kid to threaten us. We're so scared," they said mockingly, and just as they finished speaking, bullets pierced their bodies. Theeran had fired the shots. The gun in his hand spewed smoke. His face, meanwhile, spewed pure hatred.
