Max raised the small zipper bag slightly and showed it to the father and son from a distance, a calm smile on his face. He didn't step inside again. He simply stood there, signaling them to come out so he could take the bike and head home. Tomorrow was his first class, so he planned to sleep early.
Seeing Max, Finn stood up at once, while Linn gestured for Max to wait a moment and picked up the wired desk telephone, the old-style receiver still connected with a curled cable, and called someone. Finn quickly walked over to him. Max stood quietly beside the small internal road where bikes were usually rolled out from the dealership.
