I headed home, grateful that my brother Aries came to pick me up—otherwise, I would've had to walk. On the way, I pulled out my phone and texted Keifer.
Me: Wear a tie that matches my dress, k?
Keifer: Sure. What color's the dress?
Me: Navy blue with some glitter—Ma and Tita picked it.

When I got home, I rushed upstairs to change into the navy-blue . Ma helped with my makeup while Tita gathered my hair into a bun.
