With such an ally, he might have a strong guard for his family in the future as long as he could attract it. But this was a matter for the future, as he didn't know even know the origin of that panda yet. Even if he knew, what could be possibly do about it?
Sighing, he pushed the thoughts out of his mind.

But he had no plans of letting those he knew go.
